On Only Friends: Dream On 8 days ago
Started this series with the intention of supporting and watching JossGawin but now my reason for waiting for the next episode is RaffyRome?!?!

The dynamic and nature of relationships of Jack Dean and Arnold Tua are classic ones (second chance to ex lovers and friends to lovers), but the flow of their story and its execution leaves much too be desired.

I have never loved loved AouBoom before this (definitely liked their pairing but didn't gush over them like crazy) but their chemistry, banter, sudden soft moments, etc. in this series is definitely giving me another ship to care about. Its funny how Rome's character seemed the most insufferable in the start but after ep 9, he is the guy with the most considerable good character development.

A historical drama which was brimming with potential in the start, only to end up falling victim to confused, nonsensical writing and probably weird editing.
I loved it so much for the first 20 episodes...the later 16 episodes have left me wondering what exactly I just completed.

The hell with all the complicity i saw at the begin. This is a fl drama and nothingelse. I am so tired of story…
I very much agree! Its like the drama has started to lose its earlier flair from episode 25 onwards. This was one of those Chinese dramas where I was barely fast forwarding and yet, these last two episodes, I have constantly been fast forwarding.

I feel like such an idiot to have dropped this drama in the first episode about 3 months ago!
Packed with impeccable performances and a surprisingly tight script, it is a wonderful heartwarming drama.
Given its premise, the drama takes on many social issues which could have easily led to a problematic drama, that is overburdened by the many things it wishes to address but fails miserably at it. However, the team did such a wonderful job in integrating various social issues without seeming too preachy.
It is also extremely endearing to watch the members of the family to slowly grow into a true family that supports and truly loves each other. The supporting characters are such a treat as well, because each one of them is adequately explored for enriching the story.

Not hating on the actor (because I haven't seen enough of his dramas to form an opinion) but Kyohei's portrayal of Ren is too flat. The line delivery is monotone and the emotions are not at all conveyed.
Other than Kyohei, I am familiar with most of the cast but even though I dont have complaints with their acting, the drama is just not it! Maybe its the way the story is directed to flow or the way the screenplay was written, the drama is not engaging. It feels as if no efforts were made to connect the audience with characters...everything feels rushed and half-developed.
Feeling like this is actually ironical to the fact that they have spread this adaptation over 2 seasons. Well, seems like I will be dropping this at episode 3.

Having watched so many Jdramas for so long, I went into this movie ready for a cringey adaptation, as is the fate of most high school shoujo manga adaptations, but I am so pleasantly surprised. The cast and crew pulled off a great feat in adapting a manga I really love (a guilty pleasure more like). Nanoka walked the thin line between cringey and endearingly cute with perfection and though not exactly the actor I would have imagined for Oumi, Ryubi also pulled it off quite well.

A cute movie worth a try if you want a cute (low-key cringey) high school shoujo romance :)

A very delightful drama that I almost didn't watch due to the many initial complaints regarding GJ's acting and the VFX.After watching it, I wish I would have ignored those comments and watched it earlier.
I respect everyone's opinion but GJ's acting served the purpose of his character (I say this while not even being his fan).
If I had not watched this show, I would never discovered one of my favourite wuxia characters, Su Chang He! Yet again, I have fallen in love with a fictional charcter and yes, he may be a gray charcter (dark gray almost near black) but oh god did I love every scene of his. CHS played this character so skillfully that now, after having a love and hate relationship with him and his characters in TJL and AYTO, I have finally become his fan who will anticipate his new dramas.
However, I do agree with others here that the drama could have been either better fleshed out or a little more compact. Fleshing out the story would have given more time to build on the many characters they introduced or choosing to be more compact would have spared the viewers from wondering what happened to the characters that were introduced here and there.

From seeing comments on how this storyline was so basic and could easily turn out to be boring (before the show aired), to now seeing comments on how everyone loves this so very much!!

I am yet again left in awe of JimmySea's acting. Not a single episode was boring, bad, slow or paced weirdly. It is indeed a simple story but its execution and the impeccable acting of everyone involved solidified the view that for a BL series to be popular/famous/loved, the story doesn't need to be groundbreaking but the story needs to just flow well, along with on point acting by the actors.

JimmySea chemistry in this is just too good <3

P.S:- I will genuinely fight anyone who dares say that either JimmySea or First cannot act or are bad actors.

do you sympathize with thongkam?.Is that why you thing this ending is cruel?
Hmmmm...interesting way to look at it and I agree with your point too. The reason why I would still say the ending is cruel is because:-
1. No matter the wrong motivation that Mo had in marrying that man, she was a step closer to the kind of happiness and social status she yearned for. Yes, Thongkam forgave her, but in the end, her newly wedded husband killed her brother, the one who stood by her side and sympathized with her while knowing everything she had done, stole the money and ran away, leaving in her deeper misery.
2. Thongkam forgave Mo and was finally leaving the orchard. The orchard which he cared for with the man he loved and was filled with their memories. The orchard also brought him his new lover, who was truly ready to be with him for their remaining lives and yet again, because of the orchard, he was gone. Killed right in front of his eyes.

The ending or rather, both Mo and Thongkam's obsession with the orchard was put them in their miserable plight. Yes, in the end they forgave each other and no one won over the other. Yet, they were left all alone, with nothing but despair.

Tbh, that's an interesting question. I think I sympathize with each character at some point of the movie. I sympathize with Thongkam in the sense that he lost his lover and everything they had built together. I sympathize with Mo because she was betrayed (in a sense) by Sek. I sympathize with Sek too, his decisions and the way he went about it may not have been the best, but he had his reasons too. I also, wholeheartedly, sympathize with Jigna's character...its just special to me.

Legend of the Female General began with a powerful promise: a heroine forged in war, raised as a man, forced to…
I totally agree and looking at the other comments and rating, I thought I was the only one feeling that way.
The trailer promised something that would keep us at the edge of our seat and root for our MC. Unfortunately, what I am watching right now is good, but it is JUST good. It doesn't have that 'Wow' factor or a storyline where I am rooting for our FL. If not for the good chemistry and that I need something to watch on weekdays...I would probably have dropped this already :(

Went in with zero expectations, not particularly a fan of either main actors too, but this drama left me pleasantly surprised. There have been quite a few older woman/younger man Chinese dramas and this sets itself apart with a story which certainly has flaws but also depth and clarity. The drama was engaging from start to end, and the chemistry between all characters felt so natural (b/w romantic couples as well as friends and family).

With all due respect to the people who like this drama...I, unfortunately, find this to be the dumbest drama I have seen in quite sometime.I cant seem to find chemistry in either or main couple or the team. I continued watching it both for Park Bo Gum and hoped that it would get better because I loved "Life on Mars" by this Screenwriter and sadly I am hella disappointed.I will see this through because of Kim Jong Hyeon, Drugmon and Amazing Russian Mafia Boss, Leo's characters.

Given the strict censorship guidelines they had to adhere to...the acting of both our main actors is just toooooo good!
Their eyes convey the emotions they can't physically show for each other. In the later episodes especially, I admire FXB whose eyes have been so expressive in conveying everything he felt for Pei Su and well...ZXC has left me in awe ever since I first saw his drama and in this one...I am smitten.
I can totally see this being the new Chinese bromance drama I turn to every other month (provided they end it well).

My vibe is that he isn't an apath, but his father thought he was and raised him to be such. Or...something mentioned…
That's exactly it. He was never an apath, but his crazy apath father just raised him as such. In episode 21, Pei Su's explanation is pretty clear on this. He is not an apath, but maybe because of his father's genes and the environment he was raised in, he could not freely express his emotions.

Hey can you spoil the ending for me pls ?
Eventually, Mo ends up, kind of, killing Sek's mother after she emotionally blackmails her into writing a note where she bequeaths the entire orchard to Mo. After getting the orchard, Mo immediately marries another man. Alongside her marriage, we see a low-key marriage between Thongkam and Jingna.

T&J agree to leave together at night, taking as much as durian possible. But Mo catches them running away and that's when we get to know that Mo's conscious actions / choices also played a part in Sek's death. Thongkam and Mo have an altercation where Mo talks about her past and Thongkam decides to peacefully leave with Jingna. Before they can leave however, Mo's new husband initiates an altercation which ends up killing Jingna. So we see Thongkam leaving the orchard alone and a grief struck Mo walking through the same orchard in despair as compared to the first time when she jumped around with happiness .

Why I consider it cruel, is mainly because in the pursuit of this darned orchard, Mo and Thongkam lose a character which was precious to both of them . Thongkam, once again, loses the person he fell in love with (but as compared to whatever we saw between him and Sek, the chemistry and love between Thongkam and Jingna was so much more magical, electrical and weirdly pure). While, Mo ends up losing her brother, who, despite all her wrongdoings, still sympathized with her.
