You know i was just thinking if any of the BL actors were gay in real life it'd be tough controlling your reactions…
Het actors manage just fine. They're at work with a whole bunch of people watching them, bright lights, cameras, microphones. Being able to express desire and passion under such circumstances is why they're professionals in the first place.
Okay probably not the place or platform to say this but hey guys...Are you watching Heated Rivalry. Like holy…
It's good. BL is fine but adult romances are just *chef's kiss* And they're so many layers to the stories. I'm a big "show, don't tell" fan in storytelling and it's doing that so well.
Pleasantly surprised by the rating of this drama. My rating is way less but it's nice to know so many people rating it so high. I liked Big and Park in Monster Next Door and enjoyed watching them again. The second pair are also such a visually-matched pair. Would like to see them in something else together.
I wonder if I'm watching a different drama cos I'm loving the plot development. The characters are consistent. Their motivations are clear. The writing hits all the sweet spots.
Again, the entire drama is premised on a fake marriage. That's the premise. The main plot point. Everything else supports this. Darim's situation has not changed. Her debtor has changed to someone kinder but she still needs to pay it off and pay her mum's medical bills. She comes clean, even if she saves the relationship, she loses the job. And tbh I understand putting financial survival ahead of romance. Doesn't make her actions right but it happens.
Maybe my moral compass is broken because the only person I have zero empathy for is the ML's dad. He's so blatantly wicked and not in the good master evil villain way.
I'll happily keep watching the fake marriage plot for another four episodes. That's why I started the drama in the first place. Except that my man Jihyeok has reached breaking point and anything beyond this it'll be impossible for the leads to get past the lie and get together. So I'm all for a reveal as soon as possible.
Let's not forget Darim's selfish sister and her pos husband set this whole thing rolling. And that Darim's life was literally in danger hence the lie to get the job. Why I am annoyed with her is that she's trying to eat her cake and have it. If you're going to fake a marriage, you best have your fake husband on speed dial and keep a distance from your love interest. That man can order his own damn porridge.
I foresee HY's brother trying to take over the Kong company and the half-siblings needing to ally to kick his ass back to murica.
but it's okay for the ml to not respect himself and it's cute how he get jealous and try to be with a married…
Bruh. This is basically an "I like banana" comment and you come to respond "So you hate apples." I didn't say anything other than what I said. Maybe if you had approached my comment without the combativeness I'd have been happy to engage and we'd have had a nice conversation. Glad to know you're enjoying the drama and have so many opinions about it and kdramas in general. Cheers.
ps: people are capable of holding several thoughts at the same time. it doesn't have to be either/or.
omg the misunderstanding is literally the plot. It's written in the bloody synopsis. It's the very foundation of the drama. can y'all give it a rest complaining about said misunderstanding? It's not going to be resolved any time soon because Darim still needs the job and now she's realised the ML likes her, the truth is even more of a burden.
The second fl is way too desperate for a man she likes because of his looks who has zero interest in her and is in love with his childhood friend. No self-respecting woman would put herself right in the path of heartache. Now throw in the fake marriage and being mistaken for an adulteress.
Still enjoying the drama. Hopefully it holds up for a few more episodes. (Because we know it will fall apart at some point in the way of most romcoms.)
