It is CRAZY! And I'm not one to worry about ratings usually but I get the feeling a bunch of people rated it down for that very reason. The drama is so good. The acting, the subtext of the story. I'm going to make all my friends watch this because there's a lot to unpack here as relates to friendship.

Lol, yes. I find them more cute than annoying. I like teen romances for this reason. At the back of my head though I'm thinking, "Enjoy it while it lasts, darlings."
Personally, I'll give Nuea some grace. He is 20 after all. He was presented as something of a flirt and Mark seemed to be the first time he really liked someone. His character also grows away from the persistent toaster to the guy who cares for Mark and protects him even knowing he doesn't have a chance. I think he more than redeemed himself.
Perth delivered as Ploy in this episode. Actually, all the female characters have been super believable in their roles (even Annoying Yeewah ). Usually what we see in BLs are one-dimensional female characters who only exist to serve the love line(s). That thwack from Yeewah's slap was very satisfying.

Rounded characters and consistency, yep. They mostly nailed that so far. Although the intensity between Mark and Vee even when they're doing the most mundane things had me rolling my eyes more than once.
Oh Soo Jae was not some avenging angel. She was corrupt and supported corrupt people. She might have looked down on them, but she was one of them. It didn't start out being about justice. She wanted TK and was willing to do almost anything to get it. That's why she went to that meeting alone. That's why she fell into the traps set for her because honestly, she was no match for Choi Tae Gook.
Gong Chan, whether as a love interest or a ghost from her past was important for her character. To chip away at her until he got to her conscience. To remind her of who she once was. The accident at the end of Ep 14 broke the dam open. In the words of one of my favourite writers, “Enemies beware. The worst has happened. My father [daughter in Oh Soo Jae's case] is gone. My madness will now bare itself.”
Choi Tae Gook shoots straight to the top of my favourite villain list. Evil to his last breath. I really think that if he didn't kill himself, he had dirt on enough people to find some wiggle room. But for a man like that, the prospect of losing even a little of his power was too much for him.
There are people who go through the worst in life and still remain soft and kind. That was Gong Chan. He was the balance for Oh Soo Jae. Even though he was annoying and really didn't have the power to protect her. But he was completely in her corner and she needed to have that. If that made him a "simp", oh well. Calling GC that, is more a reflection on the users of the word to be honest.
In all, a good drama. Draggy in the middle episodes but wrapped up satisfactorily.
Seo In Guk is carrying this drama on his damn back. He's the perfect fit for all the silliness and antics of his character. I have no idea what the FL character is supposed to be. She's just all over the place trying to score petty points against the ML when her supposed raison d'être is finding the person who killed her brother.
A satisfactory ending. The cells were again my favourite characters, delivering on the fun and laughter. Sensitivity really stepped up. I'll definitely be watching season 3 if there's going to be one.
Duean Yi is supposed to be shady (I think) but he just comes off as childish. Hope he gets better. Will keep watching because of Pavel, hoping he gets a more flattering hairstyle in later eps.

Honestly soon as I saw the cake I thought, "Ah here comes another character who cannot eat without smearing half the food on his face and the opposite who cannot offer a napkin."
Taking a break at ep 3 and coming back to this drama with a fresh mind definitely worked. The comic bits aren't as jarring as they were before. Also helped that I've been watching the cast interviews on YouTube and their chemistry is superb.
