So far, average. Not really feeling what passes for comedy plus too many annoying/cringey characters. The premise is also nothing new but I'm curious to see where they take it.
Mainly watching for Yoon Kye Sang. Chocolate is one of my favourite romance dramas and I want to see what he does here.
Tae Yang needs to get all the way over herself. She's going to hurt a lot more people because of this guilt she's carrying. Is it the desperation for love that has her clinging to her relationship with Jun Young and wanting to be punished and absolved and forgiven so badly?
I think I'll chill till the drama ends and watch the remaining episodes at once.
There is more update in Twitter, when you search "RakDiao" or "EarthWin", they have new interview coming soon,…
And not filled with people trying to get the comments to one million with the most random one-liners. It's just a little weird to look for reactions to a show in the comments and there's these long strings of near-nothingness.
Meanwhile., I dropped this series mid-episode 1 but gave it another chance after I read an earlier comment you made. I loved the side characters so much. They all hit the comedy sweet spot. I hope the same team (writers, directors, etc) does something else soon.
I think there are some people out there who are legit very sweet and who are ill prepared for being targeted.…
I'm not sure what you're disagreeing with tbh because my intent is not to put blame on the character who needs to be protected. If that's how it comes across, then my bad for not being clear enough. My entire point is that the actor playing Lukchup is doing a good job.
And while I said I can't be annoyed at anyone for making decisions for him (and that's a personal take), I agree that they went overboard and treated him like he doesn't have agency in the name of being protective.

Nobody is prepared for being targeted. No matter how strong they are.
But, most people will struggle and need support but their family/friends will not go the extra mile of making decisions about/for them without their input. Look at the thing with the press release in the last episode. Keeping it in drama world, most of the characters who need to be taken care of like this come off as weak/helpless/cringey. Lukchup doesn't. Hence my point about how well the actor is playing the role. His sweetness/innocence is the focus rather than him coming across as helpless. I can't even be annoyed at anyone making decisions for him.
Junyoung still had a choice to lie or not. Nobody forced her to do anything. How can she simply blame someone's…
Hold on. Did I miss the scene where Jun Young absolved herself of all responsibility? She's angry and acting out (refusing to forgive and being unkind) but notice how she's not saying she hates TY because she convinced her to go drinking/snowboarding at night? Or for the accident? Any hoo, I'm sure the next few episodes will shine more light on JY.
A little confused about the comment section. Came to read comments about the special episode and it's like there's some challenge or something going on? What am I missing?
I understand Jun Young a little after ep 10. She's a spoilt brat but not a bad person. That "thank you" was a indeed a huge burden that made sure she couldn't come clean even if she wanted to. She couldn't talk to her parents (too afraid to disappoint them), her brother (terrible sibling relationship), or her boyfriend (wouldn't want to distract him from his games; also why I think she ghosted him which is still a total dick move).
I'm sure the latter episodes will give a clearer picture of what she had to deal with. (It's really annoying when I start to empathise with a character I totally want to hate. Ugh.)
Kind of getting over these drama plots with a lead who suffers because of some false accusation/misunderstanding and they just take it out of some weird ass feeling of guilt or whatever. That martyr complex is exhausting.
More annoying than interesting characters in this one but I'll keep watching out of some perverse need to see how it all works out. That and the male lead's smile.
I enjoy the family interactions way more than the romantic ones (save Hae Jun and Yoon Jae). It's why I keep watching. Mi Rae needs way more reassurance and attention than Hyun Jae can give. They should just break up and call it a day.
This was supposed to be a lighted-hearted drama but there's a soul-sucking evil spirit running around and knowing k-dramas that's enough ingredient to turn this dark and gloomy real fast.
I haven't laughed so hard at a drama scene as the scene of Gu chasing Chang Gee. Wearing the sneakers properly, the yelp, the friend riding his bike to give them water - pure comedy gold.
I love how the gang bits don't disrupt the flow of the drama. It fits perfectly.
Teared up a little at the scene of the liberation club meeting. HR lady's expressions were so heart wrenching.
I really hope Ki Jung's heart doesn't get broken. She won't be able to handle it.
im having some qualms about the idea of KJ and TH being in a relationship. on one hand i agree with THs sister…
TH's sister is taking out some unknown frustration on TH/KJ. I don't think it's just about the kid and what KJ said. Her behaviour outside the possibility of a relationship between those two has always hinted there's something else going on with her. All that loud declaration about dedicating her life to raising TH's daughter? Errr. She's also quite insensitive and nosy.
It really just boils down to the daughter. If she disapproves of the relationship, I doubt TH will move ahead with it because in all of this, I believe he'll put her first.
Adult children do not owe their parents forgiveness and care after being abandoned/abused by said parent growing up. Parents are human, yes, and have flaws. But when you lay a bad foundation for your relationship with your kids, you (and others around you) don't get to demand they treat you with any kind of affection especially when you haven't made any concrete move to mend the relationship. Dong Seok's mother most likely has a sad back story, still will not excuse the fact that she was not there for him when he needed her and she's reaping the fruit of her in(actions).
Now, there's Seon Ah who has made her parenting mistakes and is doing every damn thing to make sure she repairs and maintains a good relationship with her young son. Does she have two heads? No wonder Dong Seok is questioning whether his mother even loved him at all.
