Watched ep 8 and 9. For a finale episode it lacked so much. The energy and feisty vibe from the start disappeared in the later part and that NC scene was awkward, stiff, I cringed thru it kinda, it didn't add to the finale at all. Plus the chem dropped between them. They felt more distant. I liked the actors, I enjoyed the beach scenes etc. but the dynamics fell short for me plus wasting valuable screen time on more flashbacks. In general it was ok but I feel it could have been alot more!
loved your post and the other comments. I am a binge watcher also....I don't do weekly episodes mostly so I am…
I have a few manga running now, currently reading My Darling Signed In but I am also trying to play catch up on my live actions. Honestly there is too much great content out there, I can't keep up lol. The real world interferes with my fun hobbies HA. It's criminal :)
I am confused. What happened to the school crush? Zhou Youzhi ? The one with a girlfriend? Is he the same person…
Beginning is showing their life as friends up thru university. The entertainment career part is where they meet up 7 yrs later. So it feels like it is kinda 2 stories running but they both mesh as a whole to me.

The singer is ticked off at Tian for leaving for the UK and not ever contacting him. When they meet up in the entertainment world he is po'd at him lol, but yea it did give that vibe but he knew him, he was just angry :)

Great info!! I love that you are connected to the original source material you enjoyed and the live adaption also was very satisfying for you. When the script writers do that, convey the origin story so well I feel like the production company truly honor the original work.....that made me happy to read your post :) So many times the adaption pales in many forms from the original and for those of us who have read the source material, it can be mind numbing sometimes, but I am so glad that this isn't one of those times........I loved S1, now ya made me wanting to watch S2 right now, but I am still gonna try holding off....Thanks!!

Bowing to you! Read all 6 novels. WOW I bet you can't wait to see the adaption now for the next couples stories! Curious, was S1 satisfying on how they did handle that adaption for the couples? I haven't read the novels on this at all.

I know!! It's gonna be hard, not a doubt, lol. I might do like another member mentioned, wait for the 8 weeks and dive in and hopefully that 8 weeks covers mostly one of the stories only, it seems that might be the case kinda so at least that helps us not have to wait too long. I won't even read 'ongoing' uploaded manga, I only mostly read completed online works (or at least completed seasons/volumes, I can't take waiting a week for a next chapter haha) I am also not big on Insta etc so I feel like I can avoid so I just watch where I click a bit now. Ohh, our problems right? :)
The million dollar question of the millennium is that whether I wait for all the episodes to be out (to save myself…

Ep 7, I am following this story well but I don't like the way the flashbacks are being used, or overly used and some seem out of place in a way, but that isn't deterring me at all. Billy and Babe fan so I am right on their heels loving their acting and still very engaged watching this series.
honestly it is worth reading because the dynamics between Sukuzi and Sugiki are insane....they are literally off the wall with each other in the manga, with Sugiki being obsessive, possessive, and bit psycho lol plus there are side characters that play massive important parts so......right now 39 chapters are free to read online, with 48 translated to date but not uploaded yet, Vol 8 came out on March 2026 so they story is still ongoing actually. If ya need a link to read it I can shoot it to you in a message if you do wanna read what is free to read online now.
Spoilers, don't read this if ya don't wanna know :) If one read the manga SO much is missing. Suzuki's first affair with a man. Surprise, it's not Sugiki. How Suzuki's ex-fiancé Liana, her first dance partner, her brother, is in love with her and how her bro, Norman Owen then intertwines with Suzuki (yes they do) and the other key professional dancers that become involved and infatuated with Suzuki and Sugiki. SO MUCH, literally... the entire story is missing from this film. 2 hr movie couldn't possibly correctly adapt this manga on the screen! and and and...ERNIE!! lol So while the movie is beautiful, not a doubt, the entire crazy relationships that go down between all the dancers and key players in the manga are not even addressed....so....
Read the manga. I was all smiles and giddy with excitement with the dances and tension and eyes locked and hips swaying took me in hook line and sinker...then part way thru this fizzled for me. It's a complicated love story that never really caught fire on screen. The bit of sexy scenes bombed. I am in that, HUH?? state after watching this movie. As beautiful as it was on screen, this won't be a rewatch for me. I got more excitement from the trailer than the movie lol...I don't know, just a lot missing from the manga and so much not conveyed in the film for me personally.
Did another rewatch on this and it still leaves me unsatisfied every time but it is heavily ladened with a ton going down between the events effecting their timeline and of course personal partner interactions that are crushing down on both of the mains. It's very engaging, but also a bit confusing on how they meet in the mirror at times and the subtitles I don't feel were conveyed very well to give us a fuller meaning of their convo. Even tho fantasy, it was nice they did reconnect with the age gap which made it 'feel more realistic' lol, even tho we know it is a supernatural theme, but I wanted to see him with a more happy ending. I wanted to see Wade with a new solid love for his future moving on but of course it's what I wanted, not what the scripted story gave me :) :) I liked this story tho, it was acted well by all.
I am confused. What happened to the school crush? Zhou Youzhi ? The one with a girlfriend? Is he the same person…
Yes, they are the same guys. It's just their beginning together. They grew up together and went to the same university, then Youzhi got a girlfriend and that is when Tian decided to back off and go to the UK because he felt it was time to let Youzhi live his life and Tian felt his chance with him was never going to come so he left. The girlfriend dumps Youzhi and then more time goes by and he goes into being a singer/dancer for a career and Tian had always kept a watch on him from afar and also goes into that industry as an actor to try to stay near him.....then he makes his manager choose him for a lead role in a series to help vault Youzhi's career into acting. Then of course they start to reconnect as they film the series together and finally they hash it out and we have a happy ending for them :) I loved this story. Hope that helps.
