In the novel the dad is not homophobic though his reaction came from trauma. But of course they didn't explain…
Even if he had no trauma and is actually the way he has been shown in the show, he is still a pretty awesome father. Our worry for our loved ones sometimes makes us do wrong things. But that doesn't make one a bad person.
I'm a 45 year old. Mentioning my age coz I'm fed up with the cancel culture these days. Teerak has wonderful parents. They are not the perfect specimen of humanity, but they are pretty awesome. Stop with the hate for them already.
So his mother said she is disappointed. Of course she is. She knows her son's life is going to get difficult now and no parent wants that. She is emotionally intelligent enough to not become a difficulty herself.
The father isn't as emotionally intelligent. He freaked out. In his mind he tried to control the damage Teerak was doing to his future by dating a man. Yes, he is homophobic. That doesn't make him a bad person. Homophobia is not about being nasty, it's about being ignorant. Not everyone is born woke. What's admirable is that he managed to move past his homophobia, and then sincerely apologised to Teerak.
Those saying that Teerak should have left home coz of his father's outburst need to grow up. Families are built when we live with each other's unreasonableness.
If Thame and Po don't kiss in the next episode, I..... I...... don't know what I will do, but it won't be pleasant 😡
Now that that's out of the way, I loved today's episode. Jun knew he had no chance but was in denial. He finally accepted it and bowed out gracefully. That conversation between him and Thame over the game was 🔥 Why aren't there men with such emotional maturity anywhere around me? 🥺
Much as I adore the coy flirting between Thame and Po, I'm ready for them to take it beyond hand holding. I can bet Thame didn't buy what Po thought he bought at the convenience store. That's not the Thame we know. I'm not even expecting a NC in this show. But I will be mad if in the next episode they just watch Netflix and don't chill a little bit!
Gun always kisses him back enthusiastically. And the kisses Yotha initiates are meant to convey assurance and…
Yotha is giving what he can. It's good that he isn't committing when he doesn't have clarity on his feelings. This honestly is what is Gun appreciates and that's why he is waiting. It's painful now but it's also laying the foundation of a strong relationship.
I wish I had Gun's emotional intelligence when I was his age. It's painful to watch him get hurt again and again, but I can't really blame Yotha for not being ready yet. He has too much past baggage that he needs to work through. It's good that he doesn't want to date Gun casually. Love is too strong an emotion to be promised without conviction. He doesn't want to do to Gun what Warich did to him.
Speaking of Warich, I wish the Korean truck of doom would show up in Thailand and take him out. That NC gave me the creeps!
I wanted to like these couples more than I actually did. HillTer were doomed when Ter was made to behave like a pre-teen. And I could never fully enjoy JohanNorth due to Johan's weird behavior throughout. Even in the last episode, he did weird things like treating his sweet and supportive mother like she was a sex offender. I also hope that Johan and North had been intimate earlier and their first time wasn't when North was dead drunk.
That said, Maxky and Bas make a lovely pair. I hope to see them paired up again with a less problematic characterisation. Keeping my fingers crossed for Part II. Hope New learns from the mistakes he made in Part I.
My hunch was correct! Jun is totally into Po. And he isn't willing to step back for Thame. It's surprising that Po, who reads Thame like a book, hasn't figured out Jun's interest in him as yet.
Poor poor Thame. What a time for him to fall in love. And that too his first love. Poor angel is trying to fit in a 2-hour movie into his schedule, while sly fox Jun takes away Po on a full-night date at a bar. But his slyness is getting him nowhere, while Thame's sincerity keeps making Po fall deeper in love with him ❤️
I don't trust the CEO. She is too powerful an enemy, and our boys really don't have anything to fight her with except their passion. I hope they are able to get out of this mess unscathed 🤞🏻
Didn't help that I forgot how pretty Perth and Santa are the moment Gun's father smiled. That man is FINE!! 🥵
