What was Armin's plan really when he let Charlie open the buttons of his jeans? He wanted to get him together with Sam, right? So why? How far was he willing to go if Thada hadn't charged in? Thada as good as found him in bed with another man π‘
Glad things got better by the end. I wouldn't have forgiven Armin so easily, but then I wouldn't have loved someone from afar for 20 years too π€·π»ββοΈ
As mad as I am on Thada's behalf, this was a fantastic episode! The tension between all the characters was so intense. The lakorn is really lakorning!
The RamilPhaitai NC felt a bit gratuitous in the beginning. But then Ramil realised how much Phaitai has been tortured because of him and he became so tender, almost worshipful π₯Ή And Phaitai's understanding smile......he knows exactly what he means to Ramil. For all of Ramil's bravado, he is an anxious little kid and Phaitai is his safe place. That they were able to convey all this during a NC scene is a credit to the actors and the director ππ»ππ»ππ»
Just one complaint - why do they neglect the neck in this show's NCs?
The rest of the episode was meh. CharanKhanin went back to being a low-chemistry couple after the amazing NC last week. Why are their interactions so laboured? They are Zee and Nunew for God's sake! And how stupid is it for a prince to walk into a protest without even knowing what it is about? How did Charan and Chakri let him? In real life this would have been a PR disaster, and the media would have had a field day calling the prince tone deaf.
I was ready to rant about so many near kisses, but then I saw the preview π
Loving the slow yet fast build-up between Thada and Armin. The whole sequence on the rooftop was so romantic! Two guys who are well aware of their mutual attraction just sitting around and chatting. Not telling all but also letting each other see their real self. Not hiding their desire but also in no hurry to jump into the bed.
When Thada said, "I want to be yours".......I don't know how Armin didn't fold π₯Ή
The show is back on track and is being produced by Wabi Sabi now. Fluke and SaengNuea remain the main couple. Casting day announcement was for finding two side couples - 1 BL and 1 GL.
This is how you do a first episode! This is what we want as audience - a story well told. It may be the most fantastical story, but give us good storytelling with good actors, and we will happily give our money and time.
Also love how they did the teaser for the next episode. Didn't give away everything that's going to happen, instead gave us a tempting glimpse of what's going to be the best scene of the episode. Please please keep this up show! ππ»
We all stumble now and then, but I don't remember seeing anyone remain stumbled for so long π I'm here for cheesy romance but this was just dumb - dumb enough to take me out of the one rare moment I was enjoying in this episode.
There's a good show hidden somewhere in this mess, and that's what so frustrating. Scenes with no relevance go on and on (did we really need to know that Khanin is fluent in so many languages?). But the most relevant scene of the episode (the decision to let Charan and Khanin do fanservice for the BL fangirls in Emmaly) was wrapped up in seconds.
We could have had a longer montage of sassy Khanin taking advantage of the fanservice to rattle Charan's composure. But the makers decided that poorly done palace intrigue is more important. I don't want to drop this show since it has all my favorite boys, but it's becoming difficult to keep watching. I tapped out of the side story the moment I saw that horrendous product placement. I get that Domundi needs sponsors, but please don't do it this way. Please!

PS. Why are NetJJ here? They are awkward and unnecessary.
