Wow! Right when you think the damned alliance canāt possibly sink any lower, they do. They have sealed FuGui and banished him. HongYe tells him to go enjoy the world.š I am damn tired of his wallowing. He still chooses wrong. He thinks he singlehandedly must be the one to deal with the alliance and black fox. He has truly learned nothing after all this time. He has tossed whatās most important for 20 years and now continues the trend. I am so disappointed in his character, He did honor FuGuiās request to have his meridian given to RuMu. This was a big procedure and knocked him out for ten days. He is not happy with his cousin. FuGui left him a snow sword that I thought quite appropriate. He refused it at first but came to accept his cousinās request and is training with it. He went to see his father and asked the same thing we all areā¦Why are you still alive?šš¤¬ He is putting on a good act at how everything he did was due to the black fox. If you watched the other series, you know that they canāt force you to do what you are not actually inclined to do. So RuMu was right to call him out for lying and I appreciated him telling his dad not to call him by name or son again unless he wanted killed. FuGuiās goodbye to his real father, the butler, was nicely done. He was sent on his way with the butlerās blessing and a promise that things would be better and he will know happiness. He recieves a message from QingTong telling him she has something urgent to do and she will meet him. Turns out 12581 is a complete psycho obsessed with 12580. She has been his savior for ever, so it is not surprising for him to have hero worship. But the psycho lengths he is going with to imprison and fool herā¦well even she isnāt buying it. He has gained ten days knocking her out and has fortunately got rid of that god awful white hair. He thinks he will be her new soldier boy, but he has always been a weak, overly dependent person, so why on earth does he think he can fool her? He has even poisoned himself to look ill to manipulate her feelings and put her in protective mode over him. They are going to stretch this out too long but hopefully she will learn something valuable with this separation. I want her to kick her ābrotherāsā butt and tell him to get a life.šI am not sure how she will break ties without killing him, but like FuGui, she will figure it out. Since he got on my nerves with his first psycho look at her, kudos to the actor. But sorry dude, Iām going to hate you completely in this drama.š we see FuGui in the desert and he hears the tale of the beserk dragons and the water orb. I enjoyed the sand drawings and thought that a nice, unique touch to the storytelling. He hears that a bandit group has found it which is why there is chaos brewing and Fu Gui is investigating. RuMu has accepted that he has things to do and now that the borders are a mess thanks to his ever loving father šhe is going to take care of business. It is nice to see him in action without spitting blood or being exhausted. This episode was well done by the cast and despised by the viewers for a lot of it. The alliance is long past wearing thin and we are tired of the duo failed fathers and now adding the psycho brother to the mix. There were some nice high moments but we need to see our boys get some respite from WangQuan crap. Family doesnāt claim them, so let them get more than just space away from family. We want happy endings with our guys and their beautiful demons.

Wei Yun was lost in a dream where RuMu was dead and she was forever indebted. Qingtong broke through her conscience to bring her back and the dragon did;Elleās the clone essence which FuGui captured. The scene with the butler was a father/son moment. The butler told him the things he needed to enjoy and gave him his fatherās sword. What he learned is Wei Yun had been searching for a means to cure RuMu and learned that if she had Fu Guiās sword meridians she could cure him. They return to WangQuan manor where the faithful were being suppressed and starved. FuiGui frees them and then gets his father and returns to the manor. Jingting shows up with his alliance audience and then they get surprised by the release of the Fox clone. FuGui kills the clone under the plaque exterminate all demons. His uncleās dragon arm is revealed and all the lovely Fox darkness comes pouring out. The entire alliance was infiltrated by demon darkness. FuGui takes his fatherās sword and dispenses it all with the heaven earth strike. Do these sorry bastards get on their knees and thank him? Hell no! These idiots now see just cause to destroy him because he now has the capability to fulfill the prophecy. And like HongYe wanted FuGui to kill his spider, they want HongYe to kill his son. Fu Gui was so aware of what their reaction was going to be that he actually chuckled as they brought their justice to him. Fu Gui is spot on with the fix. He has asked his father to remove his sword meridians. This will appease the ingrates of the alliance and heal his cousin. He is leaving WangQuan manor a blade that can defend them. He is now free from their crap, and RuMu can handle his dad. This is a win/win tho it appears a great loss. He isnāt giving up anything. He is freeing himself to be who he is supposed to be. And now, without the meridians, he is free of his fatherās commands. What one can hope from this is that HongYe might be given an opportunity to actually try being a father. He will most likely waste the opportunity, but it will shut up these arses that whine about the āgood of the peopleā over family ties. I surely wish that beautiful strike would have purged those alliance members from the face of the earth rather than save them. But dammit, FuGui values all lifeā even theirs. It is true that angels save fools.šI am hoping when he meets RuMu and QingTong at the frozen pool that he will tell RuMu of his gift. Since it is a done deal to prevent the prophecy, RuMu will hopefully accept them. Jingting is not dead yet so there is no telling what the fox will use him for now, but hopefully he will die a miserable death very soon. Maybe after that, Wei Yun can set her hatred for the father aside and accept the love of the son. I am tired of these fathers wrecking their sonsā Iives and want to see some happiness dammit.šš This episode shows that even when they get their way, are needing rescued because they got their way, and peace is restored with the rightful leader, that damn alliance still cannot set aside their prejudice and fear to do the right thing. It must always include suppression of some sort rather than flat out loyalty. The cast did their roles too well. I am fed up with the lot of them except for the handful that are not pretentious idiots. š

This was a poignant episode on several levels. We see that deer village is now raided and 12581 is being seduced by a fox clone saying his sister betrayed him. Quan JingTing is feeling powerful but is reminded by those who know him that it is a house of cards waiting to collapse. The saddest thing the butler said was that HongYe needed to be part of YiQi alliance. This is everything that is wrong with him, That aside, the butler is currently the bravest man in WangQuan. His love and loyalty for generations of the family is so evident here. Madam Yin has shown up in person to tell FuGui whatās been happening. He gives her permission to sell his location and that he has no dealings with spider cave. This creates quite a crowd to come to him. There are plenty of demons wanting revenge. Seems the men here are as worthless as in the alliance. It is clear this one in black is Rumuās dragon. Her heart has been taken over by hate and FuGui feels it is ok to kill her. When his fire is blocked by his cousin, the fox smiles through her seeing RuMuās love as a weakness to exploit. I am hoping he uses his fire to purge the evil from her. Quan JingTing has seen Qing Tongās brother and I am sure he will plot plenty very soon. I highly respect the butler preventing HongYe from kneeling to JingTing. This is great respect as he candidly points out the lack of regard those around JingTing truly have. I am sure they all know how loyalty was respected by JingTing. He killed his most loyal disciple for his blood to get the sword. There is no benefit or regard given to care for his sorry ass. I can only hope he dies alone far away from the leader chair he feels entitled to. The butler hopes to make it to FuGui. I am not sure he will, but I am sure news of his efforts will reach him. Now to see what plans the cousins make now that RuMuās dragon has entered the picture.

This episode gives us the backstory of RuMu and his dragon. There are no depths QingTing wonāt sink to. He literally used everything but the skull of her mother. He did not have the courtesy or decency to kill her first. Her horns alone were allowed to regrow many times. RuMu did not know this history. He went home to find what he could of her mother because he loved her. When the skull was returned to their nesting place, her last memories were shown and a water core was presented. The dragon used RuMu to cultivate the core but his father betrayed them and used her hatred to make her mind unbalanced with the coreās strength. RuMu saved her from herself, but the core and his meridians were lost in the process. Their story was poignant and beautiful. The scene with the snow when his young self so freely gave his very life to her. š„°Unlike RuMuās father, she regretted deeply what she had done and is too ashamed to face him til she makes it right. I think she is looking for the water core so she will have the power to heal him and will not rest til she accomplishes it. The spider spy network sent a message of what has happened in WangQuan manor. There are no good choices tho RuMu is voting to go. He took the time to drink good wine and tell his story so that FuGui could let her know he never hated her. He spent the evening training with his sword writing his sword path. It is more carefree than FuGuiās but it is equally honorable. These two cousins know the most about endurance that bears no grudge or hatred. How these two elite souls came from the WangQuan line? I give credit to the mothers. The heart bell made the dragon realize she loved RuMu back and that has her more determined to carry out her plan of redemption. Quan JingTing is a loathsome bloodthirsty dictator that thinks he owns all as the streets in Eastern City run red with the blood of demon kind. Guess that means his arm and spine need to go. Letās kill all his demon parts and see whatās left that is actually human.šThe alliance that supports this malevolent coward are even more disgusting than he is. They know it is all a lie and do not care. Their bottom line is worth more than their lives and souls. I think JingTing has managed to surpass RenFeng in being the most vile and hated character of the series now.š¤¬

Quan JingTing gets QingTong in front of the alliance wanting her to confess to an affair with the soldier. She boldly claims she was an agent for spider cave and stole the sword on her own. She said she didnāt even know the soldier much less have an affair. I appreciated her honesty about the doings of JingTing rang more and more true with each bolt he sent her way. These hypocrites knew it was true and still want to run to him for guidance. HongYe demands to see FuGui who is making his way by himself. Disciple Feng got a message to him and he boldly makes his way inside. They clear a broad path for him. This episode really gets your heart racing watching the battles. These cowardly men only fight en masse and still he resound,y beats them. HongYe magnanimously offers him the choice to take his sword, kill the demon and all will be forgotten. FuGui comes back with asking if he only married his mother for her flame to create a soldier? That got under his skin. š FuGui sees it is a losing battle to get his fatherās understanding, so he tells his dad that the world is not just for humans or demons but all living things. And continues with pointing out that contradicts his father;s path so they need to part ways. He takes the WangQuan sword and hurls it through their plaque to slay demons better. He picks up QingTong and makes his way out. The uncle demands receipts for his training and a thousand swords fall from the sky. When they want to separate him from the demon, he lets them know he is still alive and that wasnāt happening. Jingting still wants to assert himself and he uses his dragon sword to stab FuGui in the back. Here I am wondering if the dragon that flew away was released from the sword thanks to FuGui;s blood. I am hoping that is what happened. His mother;s wrath now gives him the divine flame and inverses his colors. Hair is now white and clothing black. It looks good on him. HongYe has the nerve to ask him if he is in a killing spree and prevents him from taking out worthless JingTing. Lightning should have struck him because the only entity doing killing sprees was the alliance he wants to keep intact. Disciple Feng has seen true love in action and she now understands the path FuGui is in and sees the rightness of it. She is open mouthed gobsmacked at the ridiculous charges of the men around her and their mob mentality to kill the soldier they created. Oooh he can forge any weapon with that fire so we can;t have that.ššHere I take back any grumbling about the butler. He was the father figure that stood up for FuGui and did the right thing. Disciple Feng joined him. They were the only two capable of making a rational decision. HuaiZhu left her son an out option and HongYe let him take it. He wondered if she protected them with her flame. Damn right she did. His only weakness is having WangQuan blood. His motherās can burn the impurities away. šJingTing still canāt register what a pathetic vengeful man he is. He is welcome to his alliance and fan club. They deserve whatever comes their way. It will not be an easy road for this pair, but the alliance does not get its way today. š This was an exceptional episode. It was on point in every detail and you felt the injustice of it all and cheered when the flame sword came out. This was so well done I canāt praise it enough. This drama is worth the watch whether or not you have seen the first two installments.

ZhangQi saves the village by literally using his lifeblood to make the talismans. His last request is for FuGui to activate them. FuGui honors the request and the tree erupts with real peach blossoms. Qi sees the beautiful sight and rejoices that he has saved a home for a remnant group. QingTing is taking those that cannot bear to stay to the deer village. FuGui returns home and HongYe is angered that ZhangQi is not with him. He is furious when he rebukes his son for saving demons in the village and he gives 40 lashes to get FuGui to admit he was wrong in sparing innocent life. FuGui is starting to come into his own with better understanding of what the responsibilities are to being a blade. The YiQi alliance have already made plans to make him a mindless weapon with no conscience. They want to make him literally a weapon of their bidding. Even HongYe doesnāt agree with this but he cannot be shamed into lightening the punishment of his son. He is leaving FuGui to hang until he gives in. They have given HongYe til sunset the next day before the alliance takes over. HuaiZhu would be outraged at the hypocrisy of denouncing a peaceful village and killing any who want it to exist. Quan JingTing has been assisted in getting the dragon spine sword to begrudgingly accept him. He is so like RenFeng that it makes me disgusted..šHe now envisions himself at the head of the alliance and those touting kill the demons want to bow the knee to the black fox. The irony is overwhelming.š JingTing is killing the demons that FuGui refused to kill and has discovered QingTong. I am figuring this will be his angle to try to turn FuGui. I would like to see all of the alliance turned to dust and RuMu and QuZhuo the only ones left. These two might be truly human. There is no WangQuan legacy that Fu Gui should want to support. Zongye has succeeded in diminishing the best of them a second time. There is nothing about him to brag about except that his son managed to survive in spite of him. He and RuMu have that in common. These two will hopefully change the face of the alliance or eradicate it and do the world a favor.š 12581 is renting a home for him and QingTing if she can live long enough to get there. Hopefully there will be a sibling reunion th right now, the odds are against her.

QingLi was mesmerizingly beautiful as she called the butterflies to give living fairy lights to the peach tree. The demons and humans praying together for a peaceful coexistence where both species could live their dreams. FuGui notices the deer demon trying to escape and follows him into the woods. As he battles, he realizes the demon is a decoy and distraction. He arrives to find the villagers under webbing and ZhangQi has been taken over because of a pill.They battle in a place of snow where the tree and butterfly reveal their true selves. QingLi is a ghost faced moth and she and the deer demon passed parasite eggs that look like seeds promising the villagers beautiful flowers. The parasites absorb their essence and becomes the medicine that WangJuang elder was selling. FuGui knew how to make Qi literally cough out the pill after his experience with RuMu. Qi is devastated as he hears the one he loved mock the very idea he held most dear. A village where demons and humans could live happily with no killing. He killed her himself because there was no other option for the vile deceit and death she caused. She planned for the entire village to be gone, the essences refined into pills and Qi her demon puppet by her side. This was her real dream. They came back from the snow place to bury the dead. Qi knows his blood will kill the tree and he purges it from the village. I am not sure if he makes the attempt to salvage his dream, but he does make sure there is no more death by parasites and that the production of the evil drug is forever destroyed in the village that was a paradise just yesterday. While ZhangQi is handling the funerals FuGui gives QingTong her first sword called dust seeker. He teaches her the final stage of the sword technique and they agree to follow their individual paths for now with the hope fate might let them travel together as she had once dreamed for him. It is such a beautiful and bittersweet moment. This episode was so poignant as innocent dreams were turned into nightmares and the most beautiful of them had the ugliest intentions. I am hoping the black blade does not become like HongYe, but finds his way through to the other side to continue with the peaceful dream he holds dear. But each generation has struggled with the same question. Can humans and demons truly coexist in a peaceful environment? I think Fu Gui and QingTong are hoping they can.

Quan Jingting will be helped to absorb the dragon spine sword with the promise to push the soldier to the dark at the appropriate time. FuGui and QingTong arrive at Peach village where she is entranced with humans and demons living together peacefully. They have a misadventure with a raccoon dog demon who locks them in the forest with a poisoned fog. Qingtong reacts to the poison and tells FuGui the duckling all the hopes and fears she has for FuGui the soldier. It is quite sweet and he quietly listens to her.š„° When they finally get to Mr Zhangās house he and Fu Gui have a battle of strength to see if Mr Zhang will comply. Since he lost he answered Fu Guiās questions but had no clue about the medicine made in his village. As they look around there is a flower blooming that seems to have an effect on those that breathe the pollen in. FuGui notices the middle of all the flowers has disappeared and the deer demon is sharing the seeds to plant more. He is the most suspicious candidate for now. QingTong wants to know how QingLi and Mr Zhang met. Their story seems very similar to the soldier and spider demon. š„°They are waiting to celebrated the peach blossoms and for the butterfly demon to reveal how she persuaded the demons to coexist peacefully with humans. They talk briefly about the Phoenix flower that has Fu Guiās attention. This town appears very peaceful and idyllic, but something is eerie about the Phoenix flowers and the deer demon that distributes them.

Disciple Feng again thinks she is helping with Qingtong. She canāt trust her because she is a demon. Qingtong doesnāt realize she is healed and is told she has three days. She wants to make him the picture of the pavilion on Huai river. She warns Qingtong that she will only cause trouble for FuGui and she will report the demon to the master. A candid conversation between the cousins confirms that she and FenGui should part ways. HongYe has FuGui report in so he can be scolded strongly for not killing the spider demons and for going there without permission. RuMu tries to lighten things up by reminding him that FuGui dealt with the master without killing innocents. HongYe was far from happy with this report and told RuMu to shut up and stay out of the conversation. Jingting wants the sword and will sell his soul to get it. He wants to lead the alliance and feed the sword WangQuan blood. His loyal disciple who promised to stay with him and see he got out safely was sacrificed so the sword would appear. The black fox messenger warned him the cost to his person for accepting it into his body and Qingtong basically said bring it on. HongYeās spies have found out where the medicine was made ā a rare city where humans and demons reside. He is known as the black sword in the alliance. He is planning on relinquishing his sword the next day and live peacefully. Fu Gui has been given the job of escorting him. I like the butler, but sometimes it is tiresome for him to give those fatherly speeches excusing HongYe of his choices with his son. For all the times HongYe has been a disappointment, I kinda grit my teeth when he tells FuGui to fulfill his task and not disappoint his father again. This alliance is more evil than the demons they want killed. They remove humanity from themselves and pat themselves on the back at how the world is a better place because they control it.šThe black sword takes after his father and is a decent person. This is who Hongye should be like. Instead they are going to find a way to blame him for the medicine even tho Hongye says he is not. But this is also why he wants Fu Gui to guard him. Fu Gui has asked Qingtong to accompany him and Qingtong has made sure Disciple Feng knows she is leaving with no plans to return.

The disciple only came with intel long known. I expected more from her.šShe has a good heart but annoys more than helps. Qingtong drinks the remaining poison and manages to finally get the antidote from Madam Yin. Instead of using the antidote she gives half of her life to her brother who is now in human form. Madam Yin has a blood grudge because she was led to believe her loveās essence was spared to reform. This turned out to be a lie, but I do not know the backstory to know who betrayed the promise to her. She laments over her loss and wants HongYe to know the same pain. She is totally clueless since he has lived with that pain and more for the last 20 years. She thinks he will mourn his son. Not compared to HuaiZhu. FuGui has figured it all out and goes to spider cave and even in a near death state can beat up all the spiders. He frees the spiders and runs off the Master who vows to return to finish the job. Jingting is pouting over his loss of cultivation but thanks to a disciple we find out some of his backstory. He is very like Jin Ren Feng.ššHis goal is power and he will sacrifice anything for it. This explains his apathy towards his child but makes him even more unforgivable. He wants to get the sword made of dragon spine which is why he opted to turn himself over to guard the sword tomb. This will give him two of the three things he needs for true dragon power. He has a scale which is why his arm is the way it is. The disciple tries to help FuGui by destroying the antidote.šShe is jealous and like Qingtong didnāt bother to discuss things with FuGui to find out if there was any chance it was the antidote. Fortunately FuGui shows up in time to save the day. The disciple isnāt happy and threatens to tattletale to master. She hasnāt done it yet but is waiting to decide. FuGui asks her directly why she did not talk to him about her situation with spider cave master. She tells him her brother would have been killed if she told and yet she still poisoned him. šš Qingtong believes she has saved both her brother and FuGui so she happily hands him the bottle of antidote and collapses to die. FuGui gives her the antidote and calls for RuMu. He is mocked for saving the spider when only five days left til poison kills him. FuGui has determined that now is the best time to remove poison but he needs assistance. This is where RuMu comes in to close off his meridians so the poison can be purged from his system. I am hoping they think to make more antidote using the poison. The black fox notices the soldier blade has warmed to the spider demon. She sees this as time to exploit the weakness. She and HongYe both forget how powerful love is. This episode ends on a note of hope for the future in spite of the signs indicating otherwise.

This episode deals with the repercussions of coup attempt and a prophecy. HongYe surprises FuGui by standing up for him with the elders. FuGui surprises HongYe by asking why? HongYe is not used to being questioned. He has missed his opportunity to understand what they achieved at the convention. He still thinks with the sword and misses the heartfire needed to wield the heaven earth strike. He is haunted still by his dreams and does not see that his imprisonment of FuGui may be the exact thing that makes everything come to pass in the prophecy. He is as tunnel visioned on HuaiZhuās request as the elders in alliance are shortsighted in killing off demons for no cause. This genocide is why the hate stays so firm on both sides. RuMu is friends with a dragon demon. It is not said why she feels she has wronged him. FuGui wishes him well and sends him on his way to find her. Thankfully the cousins have kept their bond intact in spite of their fatherās hindering ways and binding parenting. FuGui deals with Jingting and I hope it is permanent cultivation destruction. This was a just punishment and he served it coldly with no regret or remorse as Jingting did his son. He could cry crocodile tears plenty for show but he has steadfastly been pretty disinterested in the welfare of his son unless he is useful to his cause of taking down HongYe. Here the fathers are very similar. They never see them as sons but as tools to be used. When FuGui realized his fatherās judgment was not out of concern for him but to quiet the alliance members while he permanently imprisoned his son, he was greatly saddened by his fatherās lack of faith in him to not be the cause of what was foretold. The kinship they almost had in that perfect moment has already been trampled by HongYeās lack of faith. This is what his father stole from him when he suppressed the best part of his son to ready him for the alliance. HongYe did not see he was made lesser as a result and faulted himself rather than his fatherās interference in changing his core of belief. The black fox can cackle away at his attempts to delay but even she sees what HongYe refuses to acknowledge. The spider cave master has learned Qingtong is human and has given her a time limit to give something to FuGui. I am not sure what it will do, but she gives it to him to save her weak ābrotherā and the fealty she swore to FuGui is tossed aside. He has sacrificed far more but she doesnāt have the heart to have her sibling die. So along with FuGui to HongYe, I now have to look at Qingtong and ask why? She gave him no opportunity to help her out of the blackmail mess she was in. After all she has seen him do she joins HongYe in lacking faith in him. As she leaves the disciple is questioning the spider superior and will hopefully undo or at least make known something has been done to FuGui.

This episode was very well done. The micro expressions of the actors are spot on. Jing tingās smirks and sneers are done with such precision. His hate seethes from him subtly and not so hidden. Who needs enemies when family can plot your death? RuMu and FuGui split up and FuGui takes on rescuing the friends from Xiyun Hall while RuMu keeps battles going at the convention. The elder WangQuan was supposed to take out FuGui while in Xiyun Hall and clear the way for HongYe to be murdered. It is nauseating that those demon talismans are still in existence 20 years later. They are even more disgusting than the āmedicineā the elder created. They can force demons to do whatever commanded. The Nangong family was notorious for inventing these horrid things and HongYe is surprised to see them back. I donāt know why since he was clueless of his elderās popular commerce of āmedicineā.šFuGui puts up with a lot of crap from the arrogant guide demon, but when that extends to admiring 12580ās dance costume he gives the demon a nice thump.š Nobody messes with his spider lady. š„° Jingting and elder compare notes and already know what the cousins have planned. Both elders think they have this taken care of. The elder WangQuan has demon king Huodou made up of clones that cannot be killed unless real one dies. Here serendipity comes into play. 12580 has taken the place of one of the dancers and when confronted by one she leaves a lace tracker on her. Guess who the ringleader is? FuGui was greeted with a sizable force and managed to keep fire out of it and rescue the hostages. He arrives just in time to take out Huodou who thinks the poison gas will kill them before they find the real her. So glad she was mistaken. RuMu has done well tho he seems like a bully. He has seriously hurt every opponent he battled but he refrained from killing them as the demon inside wanted. His father finally tested the talisman to force RuMu to kill. Right when he was ready to succumb to it, FuGui shows up to interrupt the battle. Jingting ups the ante and has RuMu focus on HongYe. This is a good sight with father and son fighting side by side. There is a moment of excellence as FuGui remembers his motherās flame can drive out evil. He calls upon it to cleanse RuMu who coughs out the pill and stays unconscious. QuZhuo quickly assesses the combo of ingredients which includes mind control and forced obedience. While he and HongYe are discussing the pillās makeup the elder WangQuan plans to strike HongYe. Jingting stops the blade and kills the elder. He pretends allegiance and only wanting his name returned. I think there is a reason he wants in the sword tomb and unfortunately HongYe obliges him. I am glad the demon talisman was discovered in his pocket and clearly proves his collusion with the elder. Father and son triumphed today with a cleansing assist from mom. Here HuaiZhu has something to smile down upon. This was a victorious moment for the power and strength of their clans used for a just cause. It was beautiful and well choreographed. Some of the cgi has looked a bit cheesy, but this time it was a battle well executed. RuMu is healing and when his snarky self comes out, FuGui is treating him like a guest. I hope he is just reminding RuMu how dangerous this mission was and not a true rift between them. RuMu accepts the shunning but does not leave until he has revealed to 12580 the cost FuGui paid for her human form. He gave ten years of his life. She is overwhelmed with his gesture and promises to stick with him indefinitely. FuGui brushes his sacrifice off saying he would do that for any creature wanting to survive, but I think the demon he thumped for ogling her would beg to differ.šš„° FuGui decides to give her a name. 12580 becomes Qingtong. The episode ends with her learning the symbols of her name and looking forward to finishing her sword training. The cast is doing such an excellent job of portraying the dynamics of family and friends and enemies. It shows these lines can be very blurred and muddled. Cast and production are successful at drawing you into their world and engaging with the various characters. They successfully make you feel for them strongly, love or hate. Kudos to them for such good work.

When they arrive, FuGui gives 12580 a talisman to disguise her demon essence. They have a first battle to test strength that RuMu misses because his father tests him privately. This shows he is not as strong as soldier tho he holds his own decently. He did indeed blind his cousin but as the story unfolds, both cousins are trying to save RuMuās friends who are being held hostage until RuMu successfully kills soldier. I donāt blame 12580 for being distrustful. When she shows her fierce face it is cute and she is feisty. She is ready to take on the cousin til FuGui breaks them up. They share childhood memories and their true relationship comes to light. Both are trying to outfox their abusive fathers. This is very Deja vu since children and fathers were very at odds in the other two stories. It is pretty heartless that Quan is ready to burn his sonās friends alive to ensure compliance with taking the demon pill. RuMu has no clue how it will affect him but tells his cousin to do whatever necessary to check him. While RuMuās dad is truly horrible and even worse than HongYe, HongYe will never get father of the year either. FuGui had it right that his dad didnāt care at all about his eyes as long as he wins the contest. I just donāt have words for either of these dads. All the fathers and elders sit in their big chairs and play nice while quietly plotting as they watch their children battle. Quan got his way getting a very powerful pill but the old geezer WangQuan wonāt play along til they see how successful RuMu is at killing the soldier for them. Since he is their best and brightest, I donāt know why they would prefer a chaotic demon possessed version. Their thinking seems very counterproductive. At least they have this bit of time to reminisce and get reacquainted. I donāt know that RuMu would have received much better treatment had he stayed, but at least the boys would have been friends. They have still managed a kinship in spite of their egregious fathers. As they prepare to meet at the contest to put on a show for their fathers, the demonic pill kicks in. I am enjoying the friendship bonds of these three and the silly antics of the two demon sidekicks. This lightens up some very harsh circumstances these sons have endured by the fathers responsible for their welfare. HongYe sits on his pedestal of pseudo morality over his Quan relatives, but his complete lack of concern for life other than human puts him in the same scummy category as the ones who capitalize with merch created by their deaths. For me, they are flip sides of the same crappy coin that says demon kills are ok and the world is better without them. Whereas the rest of the world says it would be better without the YiQi alliance running things. That the truest evil lies with them. Now to see if the cousins can get through this competition unscathed.

The episode starts with 12580 choosing to become human. Here the actress cutely portrays trying to get used to two legs rather than eight. Her spider superior tries to get her to kill FuGui while he is cultivating and she finally can take matters into her own hands. FuGui has learned that his experiment with the pearl was ill timed. He has used much more of his spiritual power than he expected to. When the Quan elder came, he presented himself arrogantly. I enjoyed FuGui holding his own with him. The black smoke says the elder was enhanced with demon essence and FuGui in a greatly weakened condition kicked his butt and publicly. Here HongYe finally came through and reminded his āguestā that he should have guestsā manners. The elder is surprised at how strong FuGui is even without the Heaven Earth strike. He knows his son cannot win and tells him he must win even by devious methods. Disciple girl is annoying. She should know better than most if his spiritual power needs time to heal that she should not interrupt his breathing cultivation. She says she will only give up her pursuit if another catches his eye. I think she has an inkling about spider girl and already has made it clear she understands demons and humans canāt be friends. She is trying to catch 12580, but she would be far more concerned if she saw her in human form. 12580 thinks his meditation is finished and picks up where first chatty Cathy left off. FuGui gets the big guns out and offers her candy to hush her up.š12580 is adorable and she wants to learn how to use a sword. She is making improvements in her training and only has a 7 step level to complete to master the entire technique. Unfortunately they are out of time because of the contest. Young Quan is spying on his cousin to see how good he is. When FuGui gets a job right before leaving to visit the Li clan, he tags along to see how FuGui fares against a snake demon. Right when FuGui is getting ready to finish the job, dear sweet cousin shows up to use dragon horn essence to blind him. He then hands the rest of the job to the snake king so he wonāt be the one directly killing his cousin.šHere 12580 shows her mettle and steps up against the snake. That was incredibly brave for a spider as a snake is a huge enemy. She manages to hold off his efforts briefly and when the snake thinks he has the upper hand and starts mocking her, FuGui corrects him and finishes the job he started. He fesses up to the butler he is blind but that 30 days ought to have him healed. He has given 12580 the job to be his eyes during the journey. I hope she weaves him a beautiful scrapbook of all the things they saw on the way so that he can experience what made her happy while they were traveling. Since QuZhuo is an expert with talismans, maybe he has something that will counter the blindness from the dragon horn. I am curious to see what his character is like in this drama. He was QinLanās puppy in second part,š but his skill with devices and talismans is quite good. 12580 is happily describing the birds in flight as they counting their journey. I have been thoroughly entertained these first three episodes and think cast and production have done a decent job continuing the story.

This episode showed a growing friendship between 12580 and FuGui. She was the small bit of sunshine he allowed himself. Her best gift to him was a drawing of a bamboo pavilion by a river. It was not the one his parents used to meet at, but it gave him some comfort looking at it. The Quan portion of family has come for the competition. They were banished and lost surname because of their crimes, but hope to plan a coup with the elder Wangquan who has found yet another way to corruptly use demon cores. Now it is a medicine that assists cultivation levels in record time by consuming the demon essence. They are as vile as ever if not worse with this new market. If they can get HongYe out of the way and kill off FuGui, they will have the YiQi alliance as their endless money supply. The demon mistress of the cave is making future plans with 12580.. She also has plans for FuGui. He is just better informed and forarmed about her intentions. The butler continues to look out for FuGui and tries to mitigate the hardheartedness of HongYe. He says not to blame the master but I call BS.HongYe had the potential to be the best of them and he has let his grief and guilt override everything else. I donāt know why he is so surprised that the grief tree is almost ready to be reborn. His grief alone could start it. The indiscriminate killing from both men and demons is making a perfect storm for a repeat. The peace that could have come from him being in charge has long been forgotten. FuGui had just promised no thoughtless killings when he gets another mission. The demons have a pearl that uses human essence. This is in definite retaliation to the āmedicineā the WangQuan elder is peddling. There is a brief battle where all the demons are killed and FuGui comes home with the pearl. He finds 12580 in a sad state and is considering using the pearl and some of his essence to heal her when episode ends. This episode was a lot of cuteness with a budding branch of machinations getting ready from both humans and demons.
