Bai MuRan still thinks he has the fortitude to not align with YuCi. I don’t think he realizes his loving gf set YuCi up to look sick and then imprisoned her in the hospital along with YuCi’s dad giving LiangLiang free rein to keep her there. I don’t think he is smart enough to grasp just how manipulative his gf really is. He should have noted it when she so confidently claimed YuCi’s data as her own ability at the Lysen presentation. The same logic he used on YuCi applies to him. Do you really think LiangLiang was attracted to you? She leeches off the power of Gma and will step over you in a heartbeat. He is such a clueless boy.😝Chen Xi is a vampier version of Bai LiangLiang😝we don’t know how smart she is because she’s too busy using sex appeal and blackmail to get what her lover boss needs. It is not surprising that she and LiangLiang team up to try to get YuCi. Too bad they don’t have the brain power even when combined to be more than a nuisance factor. Meng was thrown all the work to ‘welcome’ her to dept 2. Then Chen Xi took all her data from dept three so she would no longer have access. Not only was her work taken but her pregnancy was announced as a part of the welcome.😝It is no wonder that YuCi wanted no partnership with this company when the others wanted to sell ChuXia. They stand for everything she most despises. Yu’s volatile temper is trying to get him into trouble and Ren is trying to calm him down to see the big picture. They now have access to all of dept two’s projects via Meng. Older projects will be ignored because they are all focused on the one they stole from dept 3. YuCi and Ren have teamed together to drive this point home to Meng. It is a bit forceful, but it is to salvage the damage and rescue themselves from under the bondage of the ‘ladies club’ at the top. They want Meng to audit every project to find the dirt on Chen Xi. This will also make her uniquely the only one knowledgeable about all their projects should either Chen Xi or Liang Liang get replaced. She is being given a monumental task, but she was also encouraged and supported. YuCi is doing a deep dive into MuRan’s finances and Rao is getting slammed from debt collectors thanks to his favorite ‘daughter’. The one he dotes on that sets him up😝 LiangLiang used this tactic to get YuCi barraged with debt collector calls. What a sweet ‘bestie’.😝 We finally get the backstory of Chen Mo. The boy who could hear with deaf mute parents. YuCi saw for herself that he helps her mother and looks out for her. He is not what she thought. They have things in common and tragedy might bond them if she can trust him. She kept him from doing something stupid when he was grieving for his lost parents. I am wondering if these were the two lost in Rao company fire because they could not hear alarms or yell for help. It was a unique perspective to consider happy family silence vs stricken and alone silence. That to the heart, silence has a sound that leaves its mark. I found it interesting that she came down in a couples outfit matching Chen Mo. It is the first time I have seen her in a light color. She is starting to see the sun again tho very slowly. The more we see of their history and current events, the easier it is to understand why her two best ‘friends’ should not be forgiven. Even when naming the company those two were sending eye messages to each other. Ever so slowly the wheels of justice are turning. I am really enjoying this story. It is an intriguing tale of good vs evil. I don’t have issue with YuCi switching roles as required to accomplish this. I see this story as character rather than plot driven. Watching these two minds at work to outmaneuver each other is a guilty pleasure I am throughly enjoying.

Mr Jiang’s tendency to be led around by his lower appendage is so damn prosaic considering how intelligent he is supposed to be. Now Gma has put him in his place and LiangLiang is back. She and Chen Xi have joined forces to go against YuCi. Dept 3 went to the vendors with very detailed data and the promise they would not have to lay off any employees. This tactic beat Bosi who offered more money but at the expense of sacrificing workers. This made Lysen’s offer much better for the managers of smaller companies that wanted to remain intact. Thanks to Chen Xi’s maneuvering, the project that dept 3 earned was changed into a contest between them and dept two. The winner would be the one with the best presentation. Even with the surprise support of HR director, Ren, Yu could not be rescued this time. Meng was forced to turn over the details and YuCi finished the dirty work for her and sent the email with all their data. She told Meng not to worry, to just do whatever they said and that she would take care of the rest. Ren made the mistake of letting them present first and they used dept 3 data for their presentation. Yu lost it when YuCi said they were not presenting. Jiang knows their data was stolen he had seen the preliminary stats already, but he chose to see it as a failure of dept three. That he let the theft slide annoys the hell out of me. He knew the truth and didn’t give a rip. 😝 When he said dept 3 chose to give up I wanted to smack him. He returned the favor to YuCi that she did to LiangLiang because he was annoyed LiangLiang was back and Chen Xi demoted. He did this to keep his lady happy and I am as pissed off as Yu she is getting away with it.🤬Ren moved Meng to dept 2. She also did this without informing Jiang first. Yu is extremely pissed off that she transferred his best and most loyal colleague. . Ren encourages Meng to pay attention to their projects. However, the real mole, Samira Yang, is still in department 3. He is regretting his choices but still won’t own up to it with his superiors. The dept change will hopefully make things better for Meng and the baby since their offices are in significantly better condition. Here is where MuRan finds out that he has been on his leisure since back due to gma and LiangLiang’s maneuvering. Jiang was more than happy to let him know that his Gma got LiangLiang back to work and that LiangLiang encouraged Jiang to keep him out of projects and resting after his time overseas. Jiang congratulated him for his gf looking out for him so well. Gma has very thorough messaging in how she does things. The discarded meat for Jiang and the servile task of daughter in law to show MuRan. She lays it out for them completely with minimal words and it drives the point home. I now understand YuCi’s dress code. It is clear her brain is the only asset being offered. She puts nothing else on the table. Chen Mo has offered to be her knight and she has declined. I am thinking he will stick around anyways just like Ren does for Yu. A very sullen MuRan is driving off with YuCi when the episode ends.

Department three are becoming more united. This small group is the heart of Lysen. They dare to do a good deed rather than focus on max profit. YuCi knows small changes matter. She can actually smile for real that good things are happening. LiangLiang gives her mom a bank card telling her it can buy 3x the property and she wants them to move out of the city. Her money is refused but her mom is devastated. YuCi promises to find a solution to help. Her research indicates that the Bosi CEO is not looking for properties but green building suppliers. She points out to Jiang that this is the way to get Bosi. In a flashback LiangLiang is being taken away by her mother. Who is the rich dad that looks too much like Mr Rao? We don’t know who he is but LiangLiang’s mom was determined to get her out of his home. Maybe he was the diplomat in her story and he was going to take her out of country? She never forgave her mom for taking her. She still resents her mom and for whatever reason sees YuCi’s birthright as hers simply because she thinks she desires it more and deserves it. She determined since the bank lady refused to consider her application that she would get even for the humiliation. The blow LiangLiang expected YuCi to get was returned to her when Mr Jiang said the properties were no longer needed. He spurs things on by mentioning she lost to Rao YuCi again. Is he just pitting them against each other to gain the most profit or is there some other motivation? Dept three celebrates a successful launch of their renovation project. Wait til LiangLiang realizes her lover and ‘best friend’ cut a deal that cost her the LinWei Alley project. I am also curious how Jiang feels about dept three’s success being due to his nemesis PengYu? I am sure YuCi ‘s name came up when LiangLiang answered Mr Rao’s call. Liang Liang wasn’t aware that her bf and local lover PengYu were close friends in school. But even with that knowledge she doesn’t hesitate to hop to PengYu’s bed. He is an odd duck because he wanted the three of them to go out to dinner.😝 He reminded her MuRan gets his cashflow from dear ol’ Gma. So she shows up at the auspicious hour on the nose to present Phoenix scissors for ribbon cutting of new gallery. She puts an earwig in gma’s ear that Mr Jiang might have influences that aren’t in their best interest. Once again she has lost the payout she expected from a big business deal and her ‘uncle’ has taken the biggest hit. He sees YuCi at Lysen and soundly slaps her. Mr Yu was ready to take him out. This is where dept three learns he is her father. She reminds dear old dad that there is a cost for greed and she wasn’t sorry for his loss. She then pulls her hood up and runs out of the building. There is a flashback of her trying to get help from her father from in hospital and he refuses. He will not see her as anything but troublesome and entrusted her care to LiangLiang. I have no idea how this was allowed by the hospital but it does explain why LiangLiang feels she has the upper hand of things. YuCi finds a secluded spot and gives way to tears. Chen Mo is there to comfort her. I am curious about who he really is in the scheme of things. HR Director accuses him of actively helping her and he assures her he’s professional. But when bad investor daddy is trying to make a call in a lavatory, he finds himself locked in. Someone outside the door tells him to note how it feels to be locked in a small space in seclusion. He is threatened to not ever hurt YuCi again without expecting severe consequences. This dark angel is none other than Chen Mo.

This episode showed the double life Bai LiangLiang has lived since childhood. She resents that her parents are poor and that the upper crust people Rao YuCi’s family belongs to would snub her in a heartbeat if they knew her true origins instead of her fabricated diplomat story. She resents the most that all this opportunity falls to YuCi who seems to have no aspirations at all compared to her ambitions. She truly believes they are wasted efforts that she should be entitled to because she has the most desire for them. YuCi must still be fond of the MingXuan that was. Her failed life for him let him focus on paying off his debts and on family. Rather than being resentful, he sees himself indebted to YuCi. He has returned to his kinder self and seems much happier than when he was under LiangLiang’s thumb at Lysen. YuCi had him deliver medical supplies to a pet project of Mr Yu that Lysen refused to help with. She made Yu show up in person and MingXuan the liaison of the transaction. She also had a business investigation done by her friend, Zhou LuFeng, and Mr Jiang got to see the results. Jiang is reminded that his colleague did not choose to disappear from the company. They cancelled him when he would not play along with their plans and he advised them of the dangers of that type of investing. LiangLiang and her buddy now leading dept one have tried to run over the renewal plans of dept three by buying the buildings and forcing tenants to be out in three days. It is further complicated by Lysen threatening any movers helping them to be blackballed from future business dealings. Mr Yu and dept three come to the rescue by providing the moving trucks needed to help them relocate. These were the grateful truckers that had delivered the medical supplies. They had no issues assisting the LinWei people moving. Chen Mo notes to YuCi that she seems to have made new friends. We are seeing how LiangLiang soothed the ego of Mr Rao when YuCi tried to discourage him from investing poorly. He felt judged by her because he didn’t want to acknowledge that his daughter was wiser with business transactions than he would ever be. His ego will let him bankrupt his family and feel justified doing it.😝 He says that his family is his motivation for his investments and that he is tired of his daughter jinxing his plans. If he had half the brain his daughter does he would see that she was saving the family from financial ruin. The daughter he wished he had doesn’t give a rat’s arse if he fails or not as long as she is seen as loyal to Mr Jiang. The one thing all Lysen leaders, with the exception of Yu, have is willing obtuseness to how their acquisition of property effects those relocated. Ethics are not the driving force of this company. That is made crystal clear with the premature tenant eviction and refusing to allow them moving vehicles to take care of their businesses and families. There is a very distinct and polar difference between the mindsets of YuCi and LiangLiang. Even with justice as her motivation, YuCi shows character and principle in protecting the innocent and less fortunate. LiangLiang simply sees them as stepping stones or obstacles to step on or toss out of the way.

UJu fell down the stairs while Hyeong Jin was trying to get his meds. This was even more upsetting because once again the social worker was there to catch him. She chooses to not see an accident but neglect. This resulted in a 72 hr investigation to be sure their home was safe. As much as we resented Park’s abundant screen time, he did a good deed and got legal assistance for them so that a more balanced view of their childcare emerged. He is also heading to the states so there will be a nice ocean between them now.😝 There was obviously love in the house just looking at the pictures and it was fun to hear their cheers when the social worker left.😂Their story ended with a very posh bday party for UJu and a montage of all the cute baby moments. This drama was raked over the coals for not having UJu being the focus for too many episodes. The dating and triangle should not have ever been the main event of the story. Had they kept it a heartfelt blended family story with UJu and his care being center focus resulting in the guardians becoming a couple, all those triangle complaints would have been praises instead. The actors did very well presenting the characters and point of view the production crew chose for them. While I was not in agreement with some of their creative choices, they did do an excellent job of having some very sweet and thoughtful family moments scattered throughout the drama.

There was a sweet moment at the airport for our couple and photographer couple. She is learning what her hubby likes for a change. Tae Hyeong and Hyeong Jin have become a formal couple and for a short while we see them be a happy family. During an outing Hyeong Jin drops UJu’s hand to retrieve what she thought was his toy. There is a frantic search and a nice lady finds him and brings him to management office. Unfortunately she is also the social worker that decides if they can be guardians or not. She of course determines through paperwork that they are not fit. When she has not checked their home, talked to the neighbors and daycare staff, or employers, she has not done her due diligence to give a fair assessment. She of all people should know it takes a village.

Fortunately she just blackmailed him for the property deed in a cruel manner and then dared to send an electric wheelchair home for her mom to think how kind she was.😝 She is such a piece of work. YuCi’s department, with the exception of Tian Tian, is shunning her. She drew up a plan to revitalize the area using a building that has been vacant for quite awhile and bought under flakey circumstances. Xian PengYu owns the building and seems to have a limitless cash flow. His family also has an irreconcilable grudge with Jiang and YuCi knows about it. Xian PengYu sees this vacant building as the fortress that will take down Jiang. He and Bai LiangLiang have some sort of business arrangement and he seems to be more into her than she to him. He has offered to replenish her cash shortage which she declined. She doesn’t want Jiang to find out she has dealings with his nemesis. Chen Mo may be more aware of YuCi’s past than I thought. I hope he can truly be counted a friend and not another viper in disguise. YuCi really needs one. His letter was probably the kindest words she has seen in three years. Now we know why her dad helped LiangLiang get YuCi out of the way. He got an instant 500K selling off his daughter’s company. He just had to get her labeled incompetent so he could. He is scum and even now trying to get her portion of the company sale dividend. YuCi’s mom is gullible, but loving your daughter should not be a crime. Chen Mo was surprised to see where she lived and that she came back to the stall with the family trying to get the hearing aid for their daughter. She wanted her department to see what they would be saving and revitalizing, but they would not go to a meal with her. What is surprising is that the snitch from her dept saw the potential behind the renovation idea. Unfortunately the rest of the dept thinks she is out of her mind and they have her medical records on file to prove it.😝 As much as she despises LiangLiang, I think YuCi actually likes her parents and looks out for them. She is trying to get them re established where their own daughter is demolishing their home and livelihood. Mr Rao should have been LiangLiang’s dad. They act so much alike they could be related. If he gets swindled by LiangLiang, I don’t think YuCi will feel the least bit sorry for him. I see her taking good care of her mom no matter what and her life might be better if he was out of the way.😝 I am not sure what plans YuCi has with PengYu, but I think we are about to find out. This story is intense and riveting while watching their minds compete strategically.

It is laughable that LiangLiang thinks she can have any trust in a cheater.😝 MuRan has already volunteered to take her place at work. She is being asked to take a break from work and already has received an unexpected gift from a secretary wanting favors in return for her son. She handed her all the details of the project Mr Jiang gave to YuCi. She is already having her real estate bf find out the cost of buying the 80 businesses in Lin Wei. YuCi knows this is where LiangLiang grew up. She told Ren that LiangLiang could have it. In a flashback, LiangLiang overhears Xin Yi’s mom questioning her friendship with LiangLiang. Even though XinYi strongly defended her, LiangLiang retaliated by posting her diary pages on the classroom blackboard where she dreamed about her crush on Li MingXuan. Mr Jiang and her colleagues are surprised YuCi turned down the project. Even if YuCi explained to her department why she turned it down it wouldn’t have changed things. Sentimentality is not a requirement for land acquisition. Any compensation offered to gentrify the area is considered good for those being relocated. I am really wishing somebody would get there to save Mr Xu but I think that ambitious ingrate is going to kill a very sweet old man that has only treated her with kindness and the best his means could afford. Where’s Chen Mo to see this act of kindness? 😝🙄 I am hoping she simply threatens him because it doesn’t look like he will be rescued.

Bai Mu Ran just makes your skin crawl. He wasn’t onscreen very long but the forced hug and tone of words just set your teeth on edge. Bai LiangLiang got tongues wagging releasing Rao YuCi’s private medical records. That it was allowed to spread through the company and HR not called to task for not doing something is mind boggling. Bai LiangLiang is trying to push her buttons to get her to speed up her plan and used ex and mom to try to get her to talk. I want to smack her when she’s rolling her eyes behind YuCi’s mother’s back. There is a flashback of LiangLiang visiting a rich friend. Her mom smells the duck and sprays perfume. Her uncle notices she’s wearing customer clothes from his dry cleaning business and her mom tries to mitigate the situation by sending her out for a nicer meal. YuCi asks Chen Mo flat out what you’re supposed to do when friends and family are the ones that betrayed you. She doesn’t want reconciliation or forgiveness. She wants justice. Here I think Chen Mo recognizes she is coming from a place of righteous anger rather than plain vindictiveness. He now finds himself getting to read through the entire company’s psych evaluations and he deserves it. Mr Yu is recognizing LiangLiang’s tactics because that is how she got him displaced. He challenged HR director to consider who was the real danger to others and the company. She is a hypocrite getting two security guards for their dept but had an interesting situation on the roof. YuCi received a package and the spy wanting in dept 1 told LiangLiang a knife was inside. YuCi did such a great job pretending to fall for it but then turned it right back at her ‘best friend’. The bday card and duck meat pushed a whole lot of buttons for LiangLiang and she got to be the deranged looking one. Tian Tian and Mr Yu have sided with YuCi because the three of them know how evil LiangLiang is and are ready to fight back. Liang Liang thinks she can hold things over TianTian, but she had to smile when she was told off and dared to try something. LiangLiang’s assistant told Chen Mo about the meds she tried to force on MingXuan and the vase throwing in angry tantrum. She is going to have an interesting write up as well. I’m with Mr Yu. What did LiangLiang give HR Director to allow all this stuff to happen? It was refreshing to see LiangLiang unravel and more fear than crazy in her eyes for a change. That last scene with her crazed smile and a different customer dress was all kinds of creepy. The cast is doing a marvelous job of presenting these fractured people.

Tian Tian was abandoned to that old geezer and I was very relieved when Chen Mo was sent to rescue her. That punch was so deserved and him being hauled out with cuffs was icing on the cake. YuCi was trying to encourage TianTian and reveal some of her history to counselor Chen Mo. I was annoyed that he didn’t know enough about her to understand the analogy. And I was gobsmacked that Bai LiangLiang was left to be her emergency contact. I do not know if this was planned by YuCi or a sly one from LiangLiang. Mr Jiang is a sly one. LiangLiang almost got by with her plans until YuCi helped him consider the option not offered. He used the press conference to show how noble he was protecting investors money and why they would not be doing business with Dada wine industry. Mr Li was far from happy watching it. Now Mr Jiang has scored even more points with the board and Mr Li is the weak newbie wanting in. I don’t know if YuCi expected Chen Mo to go to Bai LiangLiang or not but they are not revealing the suggestion she gave him. We also don’t know if LiangLiang is aware that YuCi has rented her room and staying with her parents. She has been paying the medical bills for awhile. This definitely gives her further insight to LiangLiang, but I don’t see her hurting the parents. She seems to be offering them a shield their daughter refuses to provide.The scrapbook that YuCi gave to her ‘best friend’ showed how LiangLiang used her kindness and family’s generosity to exploit them. She had pictures and cliff notes on YuCi’s family and it outlined how her dad, trustworthiness , and naïveté about love were exploitable. The boyfriend is finally coming back and into play. I don’t find myself as interested in the ex player but I am curious how YuCi is going to react to him. I kinda hope she saves him for last after stripping away all the benefits he and her ‘best friend’ stole from her. We are not told yet how long they were together or how much YuCi was invested in him. It only shows that it was a deliberate betrayal to cause her maximum hurt at the time. I am wanting to see her return the favor. Mr Jiang has already put LiangLiang in her place and has made dept one’s projects to be a shared commodity for the three groups to choose the best projects to consider. Things are changing at Lysen and we know it is her ex calling YuCi at the end of the episode.

Park showing up at daycare center is a bit creepy. Tae Hyeong showed up and Park sees him. Tae Hyeong should have stayed for UJu. Whether or not he was with Hyeong Jin, he of all people should have realized how important ‘his’ presence was for UJu. He feels unworthy because of his misunderstandings and criminal father, but he should truly think about how much he was needed by his nephew and Hyeong Jin. There is a lot of comparison between Amy Choo and husband to Tae Hyeong and Hyeon Jin. The husband knew every detail about his wife and she basked in that love without returning it in kind. Tae Hyeong saw his future in many respects. But he understands now that this is family. They are not without flaws and they don’t always return our sentiments as we’d like, but they’re our people anyways. Tae Hyeong picks up UJu and has a day with him. He sees the house a wreck and cleans up and has her rice cooked for dinner. He has even redecorated his perfect apartment to be UJu friendly. What he hasn’t done yet is fight for them. He still thinks staying out of the picture helps them more.😝🙄 Park has a good idea for their third date, he just had no idea that it would give Hyeong Jin better understanding of why Tae Hyeong felt the way he did about meals and people. His assistant overhears a phone call and puts his own interpretation on it. This turns out to be the incentive Hyeong Jin needs to admit her true feelings to Tae Hyeong. This has been a long time coming. We needed to see their growth personally, but the way the story was told made UJu seem lesser. The dating should have been in the background with caring for UJu front and center. There was much missed opportunity to keep the heart of the story its focus.

This episode finally gave us Tae Hyeong’s back story. We learn of the struggle his brother went through to finally get their abusive father jailed and the photo album he had where he kept a close watch of his little brother. If only he had known that his little brother was so hurt by his absence. Tae Hyeong gets home just in time to shield Hyeon Jin from the items his father was launching at her. He has revealed that he feels entitled to a share of the insurance money. He wants cash for the time he invested watching U Ju.After a visit to the police station he is arrested and Tae Hyeong finally heard the story and got the files and photos on how his brother lived with their father. Hyeon Jin is at the hospital but Tae Hyeong is so overwhelmed he forgets about her in the hospital as he mourns his non existent relationship with his brother and why it happened. Hyeon Jin’s group celebrated her becoming a full time worker. Park notes her arm is injured and snoops around to find out why. He has a chat with Tae Hyeong and while he had no business doing it, it did spur Tae Hyeong on to visit his dad to tell him no further contact with them or he would be arrested. He had a restraining order to protect them and he left to his apartment. Here he sees how cold and lifeless his perfect apartment really is. At the photo session we learn Park was also from an orphanage with much different results than Tae Hyeong. He has always felt loved where Tae Hyeong always felt abandoned. There couldn’t be a more polar outlook than these two have. Tae Hyeong’s photo shoot is a success because he is damn good at what he does. Even Park can’t fault it. An accident occurred and both rush to save Hyeon Jin. Park got there first and Tae Hyeong sees how they look together and loses hope. Their is a yelling match between crews as they both yell for their choice for Hyeon Jing. While Park seems the obvious choice, Hyeon’s eyes follow the grumpy uncle. They have walked through fire together to get better understanding of themselves and they both love that adorable nephew of theirs. I am disappointed that Hyeong Jin didn’t invite Tae Hyeong to the show. Here her inexperience really came through or they would have show up like a cute little family. I am annoyed as she grew up without parents there for her activities so I can’t excuse her for not giving Tae Hyeong an invite to show. U Ju is happy to see Park but the rest of us are less pleased.😝🙄

Mr Jiang has a chat with Mr Li about his letter to shareholders and asks him to back his reappointment. Mr Li is very unhappy when he finds out Mr Jiang spoke to the board and already has their approval. This Dada Wine Industry project is a complete scam. Ms Bai has sold Mr Li on it because it will turn a quick profit and make Mr Jiang look incompetent in not recognizing their financial fraud. YuCi has underestimated Mr Jiang’s greed. Ms Bai has informed him of the financial difficulties but he values profit over truth. He sees it as an easy workaround to dispose of. YuCi sees that JingJing may have won this round but she holds her own and doesn’t give up any ground even though Mr Jiang’s reaction to her report did not go as expected. YuCi also meets her counselor and she’s not too happy about this arrangement. He is wanting her to let her guard down but he has no clue how her parents were locked out of her situation and all those close to her had betrayed her and locked her in hospital. She has really good sound reasoning in not believing anybody. MingXuan has the truth of it. He knows YuCi is out for them and that her vengeance will be unavoidable. Ms Bai was going to try meds with him to excuse his behavior but Mr Jiang wants him gone. He is also kicking his ‘friend’ from home to the curb on his ‘gone immediately’ list. I hate that TianTian is the sacrificial lamb in this dealing with the Dada Wine CEO. He is a loud pig and Ms Bai and her wretch of a partner have put her in a hazardous position. Ms Bai thinks she has her money safely in hand when the deal goes through, YuCi has found a financial investigator that knows what he is talking about but not listened to. She is digging up more dirt on Dada Wine Industry but not sure who will benefit since Lysen is determined to go through with the deal for some profit and quick turn around. I like that YuCi apologized to the mom trying to raise money for her child’s hearing aid. She does need to be reminded that nice people do really exist they just haven’t been in her close circle of ‘friends’. Her counselor is interesting and I’m waiting to see how his new job with her turns out. She needs a confidante but she won’t trust easily. I am hoping YuCi will rescue TianTian from that old pervert before she is scarred for life on her first deal. Ms Bai has no trouble sleeping around but she should have at least given the new girl the medicinal assist before drinking. She boxed her in removing the tag from that expensive dress and Tian Tian is going to have to put out to pay for it. I despise all of these amoral business leaders. The head of department three may turn out to be the most interesting. He sees what is going on, he tries to warn his higher ups, and he watches with interest when they don’t think YuCi is a problem.

Li MingXuan’s face says it all when he sees Rao YuCi come in the door of Lysen. Rao YuCi has asked to go to department three. She is heading for a wine project that Bai LiangLiang brought to Lysen. Her manager won’t allow cellphones on because he has been burned with recordings. He has figured out that YuCi is going after LiangLiang but he has not determined if this new hire is friend or foe of the company. Jiang is chatting with LiangLiang and hints that he’s aware YuCi was set up and it looks like they did the same to Qiang. He is asking LiangLiang to look into Li MingXuan since he was the head of the family investment dept and find out why he allowed Qiang to embezzle funds and kept it quiet. When Mr Li wanted to know about her 23 second phone call, LiangLiang slyly pushes the blame to Jiang. She lies better than breathing.😝 MingXuan is correct when he says he did nothing to Rao YuCi. His lack of spine is evident and exploited by the other two. He kept quiet about MuRan and LiangLiang;s affair, fell in line with YuCi’s forced hospital stay instead of finding out the truth about what happened the day YuCi’s mom was injured and knew they were selling off the company so he could determine his value.😝They undermined YuCi to steal her math skills and sell the company to Lysen to move up the chain from a startup. MingXuan has 13 million in debt because his dad has cancer. As he begs YuCi for help she reminds him of the one million he ‘borrowed’ from their company when starting. She was chastised by Bai LiangLiang who said kindness shouldn’t reward the malice of cowardice. At the time, YuCi did not believe her, but after three years she sees there is truth in that sentiment. She agrees to help MingXuan but he must live a life of failure to get the money. She let her nemesis hear everything but her requirement for the cash and then hangs up. Jiang has the right of it when he apologizes to Mr. Li and tells him what is really at stake. This may ally them against the rogue Bai LiangLiang who wants to oust them both and put herself in charge. The boyfriend is out of the picture for now and overseas. Second round has shown Jiang YuCi’s genius and taken out the weakest link of the ChuXia foursome creators.

The episode begins with a tale of two sisters. The elder was the goddess of love and justice and the younger the queen of the underworld. When the elder sister went to visit her younger sister, she was beaten and trapped in the underworld to swap places. The younger trampled her to steal her crown and take her sister’s place. LiangLiang then revealed that YuCi’s ‘bf’ was actually hers and they had duped her because she was naive, and that she and YuCi’s father had put much effort in making the scene that got her in hospital. Rao Yu Ci should have been celebrating her biggest triumph, but found herself locked up in a rehabilitation hospital. In a very elaborate plan, her best friend and father set her up to look like she was crazy due to addiction and had tried to hurt her mother. She was silenced and isolated from visitors while her ‘friend’, Bai LiangLiang basically stole her life. She even had the audacity to quote Rao Yu Ci verbatim to name the company and its premise for existing. They stole her genius, claimed it as their own, and thrived. Her ‘bf and best friend’ plus her father’s assist made this happen and the picture now had three instead of the four friends that had Rao Yu Ci’s ideas as its base. For three years she stayed hidden in the hospital finding every scrap of information she could find on Lysen and the network of people running it. Chuxia was sold off to Lysen and her ‘partners’ made quick cash and promoted well in the purchasing company. Bai Liang Liang seems to be at the top of her game but there is always a touch of crazy behind her gaze. Rao Yu Ci found the weak link and how to exploit it. She saw the feud between Li WanCheng and Jiang and knew that was her way in to Lysen. She started a scandal with Li Qiang to get a way in with Jiang. Bai LiangLiang basically told the guy to kill himself but she had no clue what the fallout would be. Li MingXuan informed her after the fact Qiang had embezzled a lot of money and there was no way to recoup the loss. The father planned to pin it on Jiang because he blamed him for the death of his son, but Jiang was rescued by Rao Yu Ci. She had the formula to bet with stocks and regain the funds embezzled by the partner that killed himself. So when the father comes to the company all prepared to take him down, he is met with a miraculous comeback of stock price and can’t do anything to Jiang. Jiang is of course grateful to his savior and wants her to be hired by Lysen. Imagine Bai LiangLiang’s surprise when she goes to greet the new hire and looks into the eyes of Rou Yu Ci. She was greeted with the same line she used three years ago on Yu Ci—My dear, it’s been a long time. I loved Yu Ci literally orchestrating the events and playing her symphony out to the finale of greeting her nemesis face to face. Her genius is going to rock their world and I’m all ready to watch how she does it.
