I'm not so sure about that. I think he did communicate it, and that's why Ryu was asking whether Zen was safe. That's why Zen answered that Atom wasn't a perv, so he wasn't going to jump him. Why else would he bring up him not being a perv? Tbh it's hard to judge cuz (south) east Asian languages are very contextual, and a lot has to be interpreted.

tbh, much as I like Zen I agree he should've spoken up. But, in his defense, the moment when they came out to his grandma & Ryu's mom has clearly shown he feels super shy & awkward talking about his feelings. And he did tell Ryu Atom was staying for the night. So even though he should've spoken up, I'm guessing this is how his character was written out - as somebody who is just shy, but not indecisive nor trying to play the field.

Also some of my cruelly honest thoughts on everyone, for comparison:



- Youngjoon: My man is in for some main character energy, but immature af. Still my fave tho. Might lose interest in Hanmin as quickly as he gained it. Or get hurt. Still rooting for you two, but no high hopes. One week is NOTHING. 


- Hanmin: Bro’s diving into this relationship with eyes wide shut. And that’s exactly why he might get distracted by the next shiny thing - the way he was affected after getting that letter from Seungjin, even though he's never even had a longer exchange with him, spoke volumes about where his head is at. But for now, he's living his best kdrama fantasy. Aside from that, looks like a cool dude.

- Myeongkyun: The OG simp. Still hung up on Youngjoon. Sorry lol, dude's like a princess pining after her prince. I suspect he thinks slow but steady wins the race. But tbh...he might not be far off, if Hanmin has a change of heart.


- Jaesung: Solid guy. Wish him all the best. Can't shake off the feeling he would've been better off paired up with Hwi, but what do I know? I'm just a guy with a laptop and opinions. lol.


- Hwi: Same as above. I REALLY didn’t like him with Seongmin.


- Seongmin: I just can’t find it in me to like the dude. Comes off as indecisive, attention-seeking & victim playing. Indulged in his sudden popularity, and has strung people along to the point of getting them all hurt. Maybe there's depth there, but I'm not seeing it without a submarine.


- Minseon: Bro behaves like a wife in a marriage of convenience hoping her husband finally realizes she's always there for him, instead of chasing his one true love. Sadly, acting like the side character in his own rom-com. Looks loyal to a fault. Seems nice but might end up hurt.


- Seungjin: Chill on the outside, overthinking on the inside. His insecurities are overflowing. Made it hard for us to cheer for him sometimes.



That's the rundown. But hey, I might be further from the truth than from here to Seoul. lol.

Like I said, my money is on Myeongkyun putting down YJ's name at the end of it all, so that leaves us with Minseon not being chosen.

So it seems...prolly cuz he's why I watch BL shows to start with. So it's more like I tag along and we end up watching together if I like it & have time. But some shows I really enjoy, and this is one of them.
