I actually think Ping's acting was on point in the shower scene. He's portraying an 11-grader lol. He's supposed to be 16. Of course, there are some 16yos that ooze confidence and sexual energy (Ryu's character is one, but then again Meen is actually 25), but - like somebody below had put it nicely in one of their comments - Zen looked "shy but also like, but I really want to, so let's go! ". I found it very fitting for a 16yo who's never had a bf/gf before.

Well yeah, teenage girls are all shocked now that guys (gasp!) masturbate 🙄. Tbh, cute &entertaining as these shows can be, I've yet have to see a BL series that actually feels realistic and depicts how guys really behave. None of these shows, even the explicit ones, have managed to reach the level of maturity and complexity that would even semi-accurately show how people behave irl. It's just fairy tales with the main heroine swapped with a guy.

I mean, you'd be lying to yourself if you think there is a teenage guy out there who doesn't do it...unless he does the actual deed, but even then he still likely helps himself.
