Just a cute fluffy teen drama I should say. Took a break from watching wuxia and xianxia dramas. First 14 episodes was okay. got a bit draggy for me onwards. Super slow burn too. I guess, the writer wanted to maintain the innocense of the character of the leads.Would have been great if the feelings weren't suppressed for too long. ML's character was okay, not too sweet nor romantic for me. I feel that the FL exerted more effort than the ML himself. The love triangle trope wasn't much emphasized. Kisses are short and sweet, not romantically enticing I should say. I guess am so overly done with this type f genre so to speak. hehehe So far, It's still Go Ahead and Put Your Head on my Shoulder is on top for me in these type of genre dramas.
I think this was kinda enjoyable Light drama I should say. It has the same feels as watching Duolou Continent. The only difference is that the romance is quite visible here compared to Duolou. Still, I find the sweet moments too much lacking. Too minimal kiss as well. Good swordsmanship skills are presented here. Story wise, its just okay. Most scenes were consumed on finding the cure for the ML, in which I find a bit draggy. First time to watch Wang Yi Bo in a drama. One reason I was able to hold onto this drama till the end because of that irresistble charming smile of Yi Bo. Fl's character is likeable. A badass fierce female beauty fighter. I've seen her first in the drama Our Glamorous time and portrays her character so well. Seen her also in Story of MingLan, but had to drop it as I find too draggy. The ending for me was just okay, but not completely satisfied. Overall, if you got nothing lined up to watch yet, this will do for the mean time.
Yes that female villain gives you an annoying vibe right away. Her plot lines made the drama draggy and repetitive.…
Fall In Love 2021 Republican Cdrama. Her role there was Commander Tan Xuan Lin's Sister, Ml's sister. am still annoyed with her role there. hehehe Oh thanks for the info. Haven't watched Huang Junjie in any other dramas yet except for Truth or Dare. I might check that out.

Totally agree with the annoying vibe. Her character in Fall In Love is so annoying as well. However, I liked Truth or Dare because of Huang Junjie. I love seeing him portraying quite a mature role despite his young age. Hope you give it a shot sometime. ;)
So, I checked out this drama before watching The Autumn Ballad. first, I didn't watch Season 1 of this drama. Based on some comments I read, the entire cast was changed for this season. It's my first time to watch Jeremy Tsui in a drama. He's okay and good looking of course. But I didn't felt much of his character here. Let me point out the cast first. I liked Wang Yu Wen and Wang Zi Qi in the drama Once We Get Married. Their chemistry there was perfect. This is my second time watching Wang YU Wen in a Xianxia/wuxia genre, the first one was in The Chang'an Youth. Literally, she needs to get off on this genre. She can pull off a modern drama but not on this one. Her acting is really poor for both dramas. I liked Wang Zi Qi's character as CEO in Once We Get Married. But surely, hated his character here. I didn't see any character development in his role. He fell in love with the wrong woman up to the end. Too blinded with wrong love. The writer didn't give justice to Lian Yi's character. she should have been the love interest by Mu Yang from the start. Another thing, it's my Second time too to watch Dai Wen Wen in a drama, first was in Princess Silver. she portrayed same unlikeable, cunning charcter. She really can pull off these type of roles. She's really hateable I should say. hehehe I just didn't connect with the story for the main reason that I feel like watching Goblin. Obviously, the story was so patterned in that drama. So many important characters that shouldn't have died that made this drama really bad. The ending was just a so so. Didn't liked it either. Overall, if you haven't watched Goblin, you'll enjoy this. Still, I didn't felt good watching this drama. Everything was off. Specially the romance. I didn't felt the chemistry at all. Still looking forward to watch The Autumn Ballad. Hope Jeremy's role is more likeable there. And for Wang Zi Qi. I believe I like him more if he sticks to CEO roles. Same goes for Wang Yu Wen, she should stick to modern dramas.
Oh yes! They are on my plan to watch list. Definitely will watch Autmn Ballad for Jeremy Tsui. and of course, Royal Feast, I so love Xu Kai not to miss it. My top 2 so far are still Ancient Love Poetry and Princess Silver. I so love fast pace dramas, with the right balance of romance, interesting story plot and of course, good looking men. :)
From ep. 28 I skipped to ep. 39 to watch the marriage, got disappointed to see that she didn't end up with Yanruo. watched till 51 and finally decided to see the ending. Just didn't worked for me at all. I guess this is really not my type of genre. Am so into wuxia and xianxia, and of course, romance is a big factor for me.
If you didn’t get absorbed into the drama in first 4 episodes, it will be hard for you to cross next 25 episodes.…
Thank you for this comment. This is what I absolutely felt in this drama. Didn't get that connection. Not really my type of historical ones. Am still into that wuxia/xianxia genre. it's really draggy for me from ep 1. Romance is so bad too. I guess the ML is too off for the FL here. Still preferred Yanruo for the lead guy.
I just didn't find a connection to this drama. I feel that this drama is overrated. I rarely watch melodramas and I just tried this due to its soaring rating. However, I find myself wasting my time on this. This is too draggy for me. not interesting story plot at all. There seem to be wrong in the pairing of casts as well. Ming Lang should have been paired to Yanruo all through out to make this story interesting. Not really my cup of tea. Dropped this drama.
So I just finished this drama. Quite a long ride for 66 episodes. My thoughts on this. For me, I think this is kinda overrated. Yes story plot is quite good. But I still think this should have been shortened to around 50 ep[isodes. Too many unnecessary scenes like the issues of their parents which ate around 5 episodes. Too many flashbacks that serves as fillers. Also some of the elements given weren't I think necessary and doesn't have a connection in the end, like the water sword training Fu Yao underwent, the leaf elixir thing that doesn't have a function basically so to speak, the multiple color pebble stone that didn't serve its purpose at all. Nopt to mention, the singing part of Prince Lie and Ya LHan Zu, which is totally unnecessary. The drama itself is quite heavy, you won't have a good feel about it. Too many brutal deaths. The romance is very much lacking. There are more painful moments on the main leads rather than sweet ones. Kisses are executed great still lacking. Ethan Juan is definitely hot in this drama with those abs. hehehe But, I felt the chemistry more for Fu Yao and Prince Lie. I ship them more than the ML himself. My favorite character here is Seven. I would prefer for him to be given a love partner here, I though its gonna be Ya Lhan Zu, Unfortunately, she was paired to another. I didn't felt much the ending. I still sense its lacking. Fight scenes were good in this drama. I still haven't found my 3rd best wuxia/xianxia drama. Still this doesn't qualify for me. My top 1 is still Ancient Love Poetry and top 2 is Princess Silver.
First time to watch the main leads in a drama. Story isn't much interesting. No major complications. Quite predictable. ML has an ideal character here. A promising young, good looking, well-off, down to earth guy who doesn't fear marriage at an early age. FL is not bad too. Love came a bit late for her. She's still young looking and beautiful, smart, independent, mature, hardworking. The leads were able to pull off the chemistry. Only downside here, is it's Slow Burn. The supporting couples has a much faster pace in terms of romance than the leads themselves. Overall, it's a light romance that have a feel good ending. Gave this an 8 rating for the kisses, though a bit late, still you get to enjoy. :D
Keep up if I'm not mistaken more conflicts will come between them after ep 30 or smth, I forgot. I do love alp…
Thank you for the advice. I just edited my comment and this is what I observed in this drama. I love twist and turns in a drama just like how I loved the drama : Princess Silver. But, I don't think this drama is for me. Am just getting annoyed as I continuously watch it. But, cheng Yi is really likeable. He reminds me of Li Hongyi,
Ok, I've been contemplating to watch this and this time tried. So here are my thoughts. It has a good start got me hooked from ep.1 as the ML shows sign already of affection towards the FL. I understand that the Fl's character should show complete naivety at the beginning. however, it's quite getting annoying and what I don't understand, she doesn't know how to love a man but she knows when a man is being jealous. A little inconsistency on that. I have to forward most scenes as I'm only interested how will the romance progress in this story. Have to wait till ep 26 to finally get into that. Another slow burn drama. The story itself is not something you'll look forward too. There seem to be no balance in attacks between the antagonists and protagonists. It's mostly the anatagonist wins and the protagonists are just like given a breather in between. I didn't like the idea of too many sufferings for the ML. Not to mention, too many blood spittings as well for all the cast. The story of the ML is quite predictable that I had to stop on ep. 40 and skipped to the end part just to see if there had been progress in the story. Unfortunatley, upto the last episode, the blood spitting trope was still there. I didn't like the idea also of life reincarnations of around 10 lifetimes. Isn't that too much to ask for to the Supreme Being?!!! Besides, don't you wish to be reincarnated to be with someone who's really meant for you that you don't need to suffer and just be happy?!!! Just saying. They tried to pull off that happy ending, still didn't work for me. So many died in the story, just for the selfishness of somebody from the heavenly realm, isn't that pathetic?!! For me, this drama has been overrated. For Xianxia, I'd still go for Ancient Love Poetry. Everything is balanced there. The romance is not slow burn. just at its right pace. Oh and just one thing I noticed. Cheng Yi kinda looks like Li HongYi. Even the way he acts and express himself. I've seen the FL in the drama Evernight prior to this. What's good in this drama, I guess, the visual effects were great. fight scenes were good. Cheng Yi did great and Li Xue Yi, but I liked him more in Ancient Love Poetry. Oh and I like the character of the FL's spiritual beast pet. As per romance is concerned, I find it too lacking. There are more sufferings than the actual sweet moments of the Main leads. Kisses are lacking too so to speak.
When does the ML and FL become a couple and When does she find out his secret identity?
Yes, I should have, however, I've been watching too many dramas. Like I finish a drama in 3 days on the average. So in a month, I guess I was able to finish around 10 dramas and with that , I don't remember the exact episodes, still, I remember the story. Specially if its a good drama. :)
The longest drama I've ever finished so far. Though had to forward lots of draggy scenes. It had a good start, like first 10 epi. that got me hooked. got draggy beyond that. Caught up again Around epi. 36 as the romance blossomed. Obviously, too slow-burn. Then went downhill after that biological sis/bro thingy. The ending was just okay. My thoughts about this, First, it has a good story plot. Started strong and interesting. However, the momentum lost it I guess where there are too many entangled love triangles involved. Second, the conflicts are far more shown than the sweet moments of the main leads. Third, I still find the romance lacking, it focused more on the family issues of each character. About the cast, the winner character for me here is Li Wei Wei. Yes! She really had the best character here for me, As for acting is concerned Chen Ze really nailed it. The twin sis character looks like just a filler for me. She didn't make any great contribution in her role. As per story is concerned, The FL's character is just okay. A bit childish in the beginning but developed and matured later on. With the ML, his character is not ideal just okay too I guess. I noticed many preferred Li Dong's character. Yes, he's one of those nicest CEO type of guy. But, for me I would still choose Ou Yang. Why? simply because life will be so boring if you have a too nice guy with you. I like the young quirky side of Ou Yang, plus his transformation of being a happy go lucky guy to a mature one. The only thing that was off with him was that part when he's trying to break up for that sis/bro thingy. He was way too harsh just like Chen Ze in the begining. Well, nobody's perfect anyways. Overall, this has an interesting plot. Still, way too long. And I hate the push and pull part of that biological bro/sis thingy. Like everyone's feelings had been twisted because of this issue. i just don't buy that part. This would have been better if most of the episodes were spent on more sweet moments of the main leads. The kisses are lacking here also.
This is a total romcom drama cliche. Still I got hooked on episode 1. A bit fast paced. Kinda got draggy midway. Caught up around the last 4 episodes where the real sweetness from the main couple sets in. Second couple caught up on the latter part too. this would have been better if the sweetness of the couple sets in at an earlier time. Overall, I just felt like watching Well Dominated Love again, it has that same feels. It such that, I felt the chemistry much more in Well Dominated Love than here, Of course, kissing scenes were delivered good as always by our ML. Just one thing I noticed here, the female antagonist is quite more good looking than the FL. In which doesn't seem fit. Overall, this is just a light romcoms with a very light story plot as well that is not so interesting.
Just really not a fan of amnesia drama. I find it a total cliche. Story is too ordinary and not much interesting. Too many draggy parts. The only good thing in this drama are the kisses. Very well executed.
I just didn't connect with the story for the main reason that I feel like watching Goblin. Obviously, the story was so patterned in that drama. So many important characters that shouldn't have died that made this drama really bad. The ending was just a so so. Didn't liked it either. Overall, if you haven't watched Goblin, you'll enjoy this.
