I have watched this drama, and he didn't scream because there wasn't a single scene where he had to show intense emotions. The only time was a "If I did this, this would be the result" and like all of his scenes it shows him being held back screaming. I have seen some of his movies and there wasn't anything impressive to me, I never said he was a bad actor, I just said he was one dimensional. He stays in his comfort zone. His last 5 dramas have been the hero save the damsel......
As far as the "based on the kdrama I watch", I am not sure what that is suppose to imply. I watch everything.

Park Shin Hye was brought up because you mentioned Pinocchio, and as I said it was the first time I saw a real improvement from her in my perspective other than Miracle. Shin Se Kyung came to my mind because she is one of the few that pops up when bad acting comes into play. There is an ongoing forum post about actors/actresses people don't like/can't act and SSK and PSH are seemingly always mentioned. That simply being another reason why they were on my mind. JGS was brought up because we were talking about bad acting, and he is the epitome of it from my perspective.
As far as bias is concerned, I wouldn't care if Suzy never acted again. I simply saw your opinion and stated my own. I see improvement, you don't, I guess that is just the end of that.

I didn't see anything special from PSH until Miracle and Pinocchio. She essentially never takes on roles out of her comfort zone. (The classic damsel) Doctors is literally the only drama I have seen her in where she is a strong character from beginning to end, but still shows several sides emotionally.
If you compare Suzy from Dream High to WYWS it is night and day imo. She has a long way to go, but she is also young and has should have more time to focus on acting now rather than splitting it with music promotion.
Shin Se Kyung was terrible in almost everything. She showed a little improvement in Scents, and a huge change in Six Flying Dragons. Then she does Bride and the chemistry is horrible. I chalked it up to the relationship issues that Nam Joo Hyuk was facing irl, but it was glaringly awkward. I can only hope she does well in Black Knight.
It is all opinion in the end, though I don't think anyone can convince me Jang Geun Suk can act.
Thought I would throw this out there.....if you guys really enjoyed Song Yoon Ah like I did, then you should try Mama. She had a great performance in that series as well.
Honestly worst drama of the yr wasted all my hours watching something where the freaking female lead can’t act…
Yea, can't agree to that at all. Suzy has actually showed improvement over the course of several dramas. She reminds me of Shin Se Kyung and Park Shin Hye in that regard. They all were horrible in their first couple dramas, and only over the last couple of years they have gotten better.
With this drama, LJS is proven to be one dimensional. He plays the same role in every series "the savior". He runs off his looks and carefully picks roles where he can be the good guy saving the damsel. Any emotional scene he just screams. He is literally an upgraded Jang Geun Suk. Except for the fact that JGS can't act period.
At least for my statement the parallel has to be an obvious one. Game of Thrones has such an incredible production value and story that it will always be a comparison when dealing with high fantasy series.
While China has definitely produced a lot of fantasy series, none of them have been filmed like this that I have seen. I have seen high production values in non-fantasy series such as To Be A Better Man, but nothing on this scale for fantasy.
The reason the west hasn't been producing high fantasy series is just like with anything, producers didn't believe there was an audience for it. However, now that they see Game of Thrones did so well I guarantee we will see a lot more. For instance, they already announced a Lord of The Rings series. (Peter Jackson was in talks to do His Majesty's Dragon, but who knows if that will ever pan out).
As a whole the West has been focusing more on alternative fantasy rather than epic fantasy. For instance, vampires, werewolves, immortals, gods. I remember when I was young shows such as Hercules, Xena, Mutant X, Land of the Lost, Roar, etc. Those would be considered fantasy for that generation. Eventually it became.......buffy the vampire slayer, angel....which bled into true blood, vampire diaries, the originals. Superheroes eventually started to dominate and that became a question of are superheroes considered fantasy or sci-fi? Is it a hybrid genre?
After almost a decade of no real epic fantasy, Game of Thrones reared its head and took over. It was a combination of there not being any epic fantasy in such a long period of time and an insane production value. So now we get to see what else is going to come from it.
She's not evil. She's being stupid again, JUST like she was when Ji An first left. She's immature, impulsive and…
With how cruel the family is I can only hope it doesn't rub off on her while she is distant and angry. All weekend dramas love a good female antagonist, and a front-runner hasn't been declared yet.

She is not evil yet, but this literally the cliche that happens in every drama. The girl feels betrayed and goes from kind to cruel. Maybe they will wise up and not follow the trope, but I have been burned too many times.
You know what would make a crazy plot twist? Both of them are his daughters. Ji Soo being his daughter with rich mother, and maybe the twins being his daughters with someone else. So the DNA test will come out positive, and later when she confronts everyone, he will realize both of them are his.
I don't know why, but I really want Ji Soo and Ji Ahn to be real sisters. Given that the father was brought into the family, he could have a past. Not to mention the poor mother is sketchy as hell. There is also a weird dynamic with Do Kyung and the parents. I have a feeling he isn't the rich father's son, and that is why he was having the rich mother followed. So that will line up with Ji Ahn and Do Kyung still not being related.
I watch way too many dramas, but I think that would be fun.
I don't know what it is, but I am finding this show increasingly boring. The first episode had me intrigued, and it has just completely downhill imo. I even gave it a chance with my dislike of Go Ah Ra's acting.
