I was originally really enjoying it since I like the main actress, but again for me I just don't like all the cliche. The Promise was the last daily that had me hooked.
ok.... I have waited so I can do my rant about this drama and I already left like three post about it so I had…
Unfortunately I agree.....the show actually had promise, but it steadily went downhill. The "bad guys" pretty much got a pass while doing nothing that redeemable.
lol are you talking about who caused the accident? If so, they pretty much confirmed that like 20 eps in when the drunk driver came into the station. Do Hyun started having nightmares when he heard about a drunk driver, that coupled with the sister and him having been in an accident and yet they never described the situation made it pretty obvious.
It's why I am so disappointed with this series. I was really hoping they would throw in a twist where he was tricked or something, but in the end they did the most obvious plot. Not to mention I can't stand the main lead male. He is incredibly one dimensional and boring. They started to show some character growth for Do Hyun then the writers destroyed him again. In contrast, Tae Jin hasn't changed at all.
Please don't tell me this is actually 120 episodes.........at 95 literally nothing has been resolved even though everyone knows everything. I have seen a lot of daily shows lately, but this is just bad. Everyone knew who the bad guys were at least 20 episodes ago and yet somehow it is still being dragged out.
Sigh....am I the only one annoyed that Mr. I like to Beat Girls didn't get resolved in any way? Like how was he under fire in that one episode.......and then just magically free to do what he pleases again. In the end, his punishment is that he can't cheat anymore? Really?
When I think time skip doctors, Faith and Time Skip Dr. Jin come to mind. Faith was unique in its own way, and I enjoyed it for the most part. However, the ending just didn't sit that well with me. Dr. Jin........well those who have seen it know how that train wreck turned out.
This show is something special. All I can hope for is that doesn't trip up like its predecessors.
I feel like the chemistry issue is based on the current irl relationship of Nam Joo Hyuk. They recently announced that the relationship had ended. However, more than likely they had been having issues through the entire filming of this show. His acting throughout the show was average at best in my opinion. It would be a completely different story had the chemistry been great coupled with the breakup, but now I see it as Shin Se Kyung keeping her distance given the outside issues that might have bled into the work. Again, could be absolutely nothing, but that was my take on it.
I was always off on Shin Se Kyung until her two latest works, otherwise I would have just thought it was her, but I don't see that being the case anymore. I'm impressed by how much she has improved over the last couple years.
I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. The "villain" was also 1000% toned down from nearly every daily I have seen. I actually enjoyed her character.
Guli Nazha aka Xu Young, her expressions regardless happy, sad, suffering, worry or injure are all the same. I…
Unfortunately, I have felt that way for the female lead in every one of her dramas. She constantly gets good roles, but shows zero emotion in all of them.
The break they took to redo the script did wonders for the show. I hated the main girl in the beginning, and the way they portrayed everything was a letdown. I dropped it right before they rebooted, and recently went back to finish. I will say that it definitely improved from that reboot.
