A happy ending for the viewers, not for the characters maybe.
I kinda wish they did but I know it wouldn't go with the way the characters are. I read the webtoon summary and left me shocked, though we still don't know if they will stick to the og story.
There's no comparison between this drama and Go Ahead. This drama doesn't have the deep and emotional script,…
It's because there are people that like simple stories with no depth. This version makes no sense in any way. Ju Won is angry she was left behind but gets over it in one day. Hae Jun resents his mother for abandoning him but gets over it from one scene to the next. The editing, the pacing, the script is awful....yeah...but people like what they like...what can we do?
I haven't seen the chinese version, so this is just based on this adaption. I think it's a fun and light family…
Watch the original. The changes made in this remake don't make sense. Sanha's mom is worse in this remake but somehow his character shows more love for his mom. The mom character is very one dimensional and her only purpose in the drama is to make the viewers blood boil. Also doesn't make sense that Juwon gets over her feeling "abandoned" in two seconds or haejun, with all his resentment forgives his mom from one scene to the next.
currently watching the Korean one and if you all are saying this about the Chinese one when the Korean one is…
The Korean version is way too light. Like the kids version of the drama. The characters are more one dimensional as well. For me the Korean version wasn't that good :(
the korean remake is crap compared to this masterpiece. Don't understand how some people say its better...O_O It always amaze me how beautiful the dialogue is.
Can someone tell me the main changes they made in korean version?
Huge spoilers ahead:
- It's not as focused on the family as the original - They aren't that much of a family as the chinese one. The kids don't address the others parents as father but as ahjusshi. - The character of "JianJian" is not a tomboy, nor as independent or self driven. Lacks personality. Ends up becoming a baker. - The character of "LingXiao" doesn't end up as a dentist but a doctor in orthopedics. Also he is not as tormented, his trauma doesn't affect his social life. He isn't as dependent on the character of "JIanJian". His character shows love for his mother. - The character of "LingXiao's mom" is much worse than the chinese one. Blaming his son for he death of her daughter every chance she gets. - The character of "Ziqiu" doesn't end up as a baker, instead becomes a model. Has his own love story.
So Go Ahead had a love triangle between the three? I definitely won't watch that one.
Dense people shouldn't watch Go ahead cuz they won't understand the nuances of a great drama. I also liked that they portrayed life in a more realistic way with flawed characters and relationships and not flowery and fairy tale type. But beyond that the dialogue is amazingly poetic and deep.
Loved this Drama! Started watching in for In Yeop but continued watching for the entire cast!Familiar with Go…
If you like Cdramas over K-dramas and liked this one. I think you should watch Go ahead. Imo is so much better than FBC. C and j dramas do better slice of life dramas and the original is a slice of life unlike this one that is more of a romantic comedy. The feels of the emotional scenes of the original...till this day haven't watched a drama that moved me more.
Imo the problem is with the writing in general. There are so many plot holes, weird cuts and characters that aren't…
The drama is centered in family and the dynamics of the main family is so precious. But it's also about growth and finding yourself. I like that they don't present perfect characters, even the leads relationship is quite flawed and at times unhealthy. But that's just real life.
I was expecting something similar in FBC, too bad the writing is so subpar.

I think they wanted to add the bakery no matter what because it's a place for the young characters to hang out. In the original, one brother decides to become a baker because his sister loves sweets and the other one becomes a dentist because she was afraid of them as a child.
I think you should definitely watch Go Ahead, even if you don't like the romance parts (which imo is the weakest part of the drama), its worth it. I think Go Ahead is beautifully written. "One day, I suddenly found that separation is normal in life. We, like dandelion seeds, grow wherever we fly. We have new land, new friends and new dreams" "For a moment, I can sense that I'm entering the world that belong to adults like my father. The key to that world is patience, patience and patience"

In the original JianJian is an artist, she isn't good at school but wins art awards and eventually becomes an sculptor. She, along with a uni senior open a studio that does quite well. Her personality is quite different from JuWon. In FBC, JuWon is a character that "needs to be take care of", she has problems at school but can't solve them on her own. She doesn't seem to have a direction. She gets angry at her brothers but the anger disappears in 10 seconds. In other words, she doesn't have a backbone and has no personality, her character is there to move the plot but the writer didn't even bother to develop it. Whereas JianJian is in several ways the glue that stick the family together. Both brothers are emotional dependent on JianJian and in her group of friends she is the one that takes care of them. She is driven and want her studio to do well to provide for her fathers.
The character of Dal as well is shown better in the original. In the original she is the good student, the class president, the perfect daughter. Her mom has decided every step of her life and doesn't want her to have friends since they will only distract her from her studies. The only choice she has done so far on her own is making friends with JianJian which is a breath of fresh air in her life. Without spoiling much she has an arc of self discovery.
They also have another friend that has her own life issues. And the three of them form one of the best sisterhoods I've seen in a drama.
The high rating is because there's a lot of Hwang In youp fans that are excited for his first male lead character.
Honestly this is just like any other idol drama out there. If you are looking for a deeper more meaningful watch, go for the Chinese one.
