I agree with you completely. They butchered all the perfect settings in the novel, how could they have the heart to mess up such a beautiful novel is beyond my thinking; How dumb the production team must be that with a perfect novel in front of them, where all they needed to was to turn the novel description into dialogues and only change the things related to censorship; but they used money, resources, energy and time to turn something perfect into garbage. If it wasn't for Sima Jiao and LYT portrayed well by AC and WY, there would hardly be people watching, now they are even changing ML-FL personality by adding all sorts of rubbish settings that doesn't make any sense; LYT already had contrast in her personality whenever YR character was involved and now they have added a big softie buff to an overpowered ML who was supposed to be the ruler of demon relam. I am so heartbroken, my overpowered confident Sima Jiao who only had softness for LYT and salted fish LYT who was lazy but knew what to do and what not do seems to be gone.

The damn screenwriter with water in her brain, who only knows to copy paste idol drama settings, why didn't the production team fire her!!!! I am so angry..

According to novel, Sima Jiao is the final boss, Shi Qianlu is just a running dog and will be killed in no time in 2nd arc. The demon world had some small demon kings with separate territory; it was only after Sima Jiao came to the demon world, he unified the demon world and became the absolute ruler there. The drama made a mess of everything that was perfect in the novel, I don't know how the demon arc would turn out here

The novel has only 81 chapters and after that 4 short independent short story unrelated to the main novel

From chapter 53 I mean the original chapters, not the translated version where each chapter is divided into 2/3 chapters.

Yeah, after all they grew up in a completely different world and how can someone from peaceful society get used to killing so easily; also the fact that she wasn't a judgemental whiny FL like other modern transmigrators was a huge plus point for me for liking this novel.

Its not exactly like Amnesia, After all he has reincarnated so slowly as he grows older and if practice cultivation he will remember his past life; also he has always dreamed of LYT even before cultivating again.

Its zero angst, zero dragged out and very short amnesia arc. Their life after reunion is sweet too.. It just added more layers to their relationship, and Sima Jiao found the reaction of amnesiac LYT quite amusing and funny. Although, her memory loss was a regret and lesson for him for being too conceited and confident but he never forces her to restore her memory and even enjoys the process of LYT getting used to him again and depending on him and loving him again.

I agree with you completely. The times, the ML-FL interaction made me feel uncomfortable were those that involved Ruling, like when she lied to Sima Jiao for Ruling, defended Ruling multiple times when Sima Jiao asked about her friendship and now throwing a temper at Sima Jiao for Ruling's betrayal; quite irritating bcz Sima Jiao never wronged her, even saved her many times and he is the reason she can be so comfortable and leisurely in a strange world. She should be a team with him and stop always siding outsiders she barely knows. At those times, she gave the feeling of those typical drama FLs. And that sentence to ML, "you don't even have friend, how would you know how I feel" was totally poking the ML's heart that he doesn't have anyone who sides with him, and he was alone imprisoned for 500 years.

So true, these supporting characters are just ruining a promising drama.

Exactly. I am so mad at this. YR and snake are totally unnecessary characters and damaging the whole drama vibe.
