yes from the posters, the 1st prince and xiao tan's sister are together so the new rival should be a diff guy.https://kisskh.at/photos/DXNbn…
This, I am not sure. Everybody are saying that they did get back to Dong Yue Kingdom but before Mo Liang Cheng and Qu Xiao Tan met. That's is maybe why she has no recollection of him. But then if they did go back in time then shouldn't Qu Tan Er be alive, because the 1st prince who is supposedly dead is alive again.
This is really confusing, I'm not sure if there's even a parallel universe.

Title A Poem a Day Spoiler
boring person? jeez, so i guess people have to act childishly and immature like minho so they won't be boring?…
But you also need to remember what kind of jerk the other guy is. He treats the female lead like trash just because she isn't interested in him anymore. I guess the doctor ye seems boring because he isn't exaggerating in any aspect that provides tension and stuff but it is nice to see a couple that has mutual respect for each other even though it seems awkward between them in their first stage of dating.

Based on what people said from the novel, the time travelling portal threw them into the sea of the modern world. They were saved by people on the yacht who mistaken them as actors. After experiencing some stuff from the modern world The soul orb thingy brought them into another time travelling set up.

I do ship the 1st prince with Tan Er but we for sure know that Tan Er's soul dissipated or died off. I think Xiao Tan did exist in the period before the male lead got placed on earth. But she was reborn into a different dimension of the modern world.

Title The Dark Lord Spoiler
Wait. No. What kind of ending is that? I felt like this last arc was the worst one so far throughout the series following Ying Ying's death from a goddamn gun...
Not sure if I'm supposed to expect a second season in a few years. I mean it's such a good drama but it's executed to finish in such an open ended way. I felt like I have gained nothing. Sure we got to witness the protagonist fighting against evil, finding new friends along journeys, battling amongst the wits and power and so on but it left me pretty much empty man. It makes me feel like even though the protagonist worked so hard but he has gained nothing at all just like me.

Does it focus more on politics or romance?
I would say romance is a subplot to brighten up the mood and tension. It's very mini arc based but the romance does have its moments. I think you will be more fascinated with the protagonist's adventure.

As much as I love Zhang Tian Ai, I hope her management team helps her grasp better roles and series. Not sure how this modern drama will turn out but based on recent years these kind of dramas are not creative.

I’m just going to say that I’m disappointed with this show from beginning to end, the only thing that kept…
I kinda cringe when I see the leads together. I don't feel the mutual chemistry like it's not sincere somehow. Idk how I became interested with Prince De's love story instead lol.

Different business model used. The Koreans are into aggressive marketing and fast turnover rate because they cannot…
Actually not only that, but different cultures tend to have different acting techniques. I'm not saying all but like you said with CN-SK collab dramas, I can't help but go wtf as I go because their way of expression is so damn weird. If you know what I mean especially with expressions of being shocked, happy, sad or way of movement, It doesn't mix well together.
E.g. SK uses the gigantic fish eyes and a round mouth all the time when being shocked. While the chinese is more toned down but a bit more expressive with the eyebrows.

I'm genuinely curious, why do Chinese dramas tend to get subbed a bit slower than others? (e.g. drama being finished…
1. Too long especially with the episodes - if they pick up the wrong project they're doomed. Imagine subbing something you thought would be nice but it is not what it is.

2. Chinese dramas are not really marketed overseas and such since their mainland audience are more profitable for them.

3. Many international viewers always hesitate with the number of episodes especially with chinese dramas so there is no guarantee that it will be worth subbing if there are little viewers.

4. And we can see that usually chinese dramas are subbed by small teams or individually. Maybe their plot and storytelling are not based on the current trends or generation that people prefer.

That's why you only see the lame, short or popular celeb's dramas being subbed at a fast rate. Most of these are fansubs so it would take a while.

5. The episodes are released at a fast rate, imagine having to sub 2 episodes per day (which can go for 4-5 days then maybe an episode on the weekend) unlike Korea (2 a week), JP (1 a week), TW (1 a week).

anyone know if dramafever can license a drama even after a time it debuted?Because I only see DF and Viki licensing…
I think they have a small subbing team for chinese dramas, the max i would see them work on are around 2 dramas? From what I've seen, it seems like Martial Universe is a flop so far compared to HSALF (this drama). Seems like they licensed the wrong project this time (especially going for popular actors that have mediocre projects).

Yesh! I started to skip a lot starting from ep 40 onward. This political thing seems too cliche or rather boring for me to keep myself invested.

I started but stop to watch Legend of Fuyao. Which better?
Well at this rate, this drama surpasses in many possible aspects. I don't think we can compare them. It would be an insult to something like this especially in plot and storytelling.
I got disappointed really badly with Fuyao.

Title Legend of Fu Yao Spoiler
The drama's peak for me was at ep 38, I can't get through the political stuff lol.
nah lol, the most I can do is read the raws with machine translation while the translator is still translating the novel. I've only done that for one novel so far. I think this novel is a bit more complicated when machine translating especially with the wording.

The only political thing I could get through was NiF 1 & 2. I think it's quite boring here. I'd rather read it through the novel than watching it.
