This was a weird movie with a bizarre sci-fi plot and poor editing. The weirdest part was that individual scenes were well done, but the scenes all put together didn't make sense. My guess is that they had to remove several scenes due to the censorship bureau, and made other scenes longer or added them in to preserve the length of the film. I wish I could see the original cut. That said, even though it's a bit jarring to watch, you can understand the plot as it is.
When will it finish subbing? I really want to watch the drama !
It's available subbed through episode 14 on Youtube. According to the current update schedule, it should be finished in about a month. Maybe November 22.
Okay, the synopsis makes it sound like they get together and break up at the beginning of the series and most of the series is about whether they get back together. That is not at all the case. The majority of the series is before they get together. I think the synopsis is a spoiler, and worse yet, a misleading one. A synopsis should describe the premise of a show, not the first 90% of the plot.
Okay I just finished episode 17.................... O.oWhat the heck XD first I remember clearly that Zhao Cou…
Ugh, that's terrible. I hate it when likeable characters die. Now I don't know if I want to keep watching. They're happy together and He Zhen, the real childhood sweetheart, hasn't arrived yet, so maybe I should just leave it here.
Amazon Prime seems to have forgotten they're airing this drama. aigoo. Which days of the week are the English…
It looks like it's about five weeks behind the original air date. Episode 10 is up, and hopefully episodes 11 and 12 will be up this weekend. Subbing quality will improve if you wait a bit before watching, though, instead of watching the second it's available, since they've rushed an unedited version of the subs.
I'm tired of the classical contract marriage plots, where whenever the couple falls in love the written contract…
Me too. If it does, they should just say they were acting out her novel to help her write more realistically - the relationship is real, and the contract is fake. But I have a feeling neither of them will think of that. It's such a good excuse!
So far, I don't see the ML as arrogant and rude, he's childish at times because the FL is oblivious to his feelings.…
I recommend it. Although the plot kind of fits that cliche, the characters are much warmer and more relatable. Also, since the female lead has a wealthy family, there isn't a big status difference between them. They're on pretty equal footing throughout the show. Also, since they are childhood friends, they aren't starting from zero. And the male lead seems like a genuinely nice guy. He makes some mistakes, sure, but he's not the kind of male lead that treats the female lead like crap until he falls in love with her and then magically treats her better. And most of those mistakes were when he was 13 and seem developmentally appropriate for a 13 year old. It's actually really refreshing to see genuinely likable characters in this trope.
I'm quite annoyed with the youtube streaming. What's with the mute?
They don't have the rights for the background music in some countries, so they have to remove it for Youtube which is pretty zealous about removing videos that have music in them. You can see it with the background music on some other sources. I've been switching back and forth between the subbed Youtube videos and unsubbed videos so I can get the mood with the music.
Fortunately, the spoken audio is on a different track, so they were able to keep the speaking in while just removing the background music.
