It takes so long because of the censorship process. The initial script has to be approved, then the filmed product has to be approved, and if it's not approved, they have to re-film parts and submit it to be approved again. If actors have scandals, then their parts may need to be re-filmed with different actors. If the censorship guidelines change, then the whole thing needs to be approved again - and they may need to make changes and get re-approval again. Business rivals can call on relationships with government officials to slow down the approval process, or take out or water down scenes that viewers would enjoy. Then the film producers have to call on their own relationships with government officials to get those scenes approved again, and get the approval process moving again. It's an extremely convoluted and slow process, not to mention all the normal things that need to be done to finish and broadcast a show.

I'm working on 28 now. I'm very slow, but I'll post here when each episode is done. I'm watching it as I sub, and I also want to know what happens! You can also request the drama on Viki, since there are some more skilled subbers there, and it will probably get subbed faster if they pick it up.
Can anyone tell me what this series is actually about? Spoilers are okay. Also, what is the tone? Is it creepy? Is it suspenseful? Are there sadistic characters? Are there evil masterminds? Is it a crime drama? Is it supernatural? Is it BL? Does it end in a cliff-hanger, and if so, just how suspenseful is that cliff-hanger, ie: what are we left wondering?
