if you want a woman in the skin of a man holding man's position on her own with dignity and authentic heroism - Dominion and Devotion is for you. LotFG is only a romance while D&D has the edge that LotFG lacks. LotFG drama is in some regards well adapted from the novel, but the ending really did not add much to the story and overall sense of satisfaction

two sisters competing, dying, reincarnating and starting the competition all over again? It's August 2025 and this is a second time I see the same trope

while JOL is not yet revealed as game, there are many similarities between the two productions: there is a lady who comes from somewhere (like Fan Xian's mom) and acts like Uncle Wu. The ML does not have the memories of his life but like FX he too is charged with running a country and is aided by characters that know more about the current situation than the king himself. Although ML in Joy of Life does not have multiple lives like the ML here, but they are equally given a chance to correct their mistakes.
And on top of it there is comedy!

stuck in the game for one reason or another - but what is this game and who runs it? Will NPCs join the forces? Will the real people achieve the goal of getting out of there?

Investigating mystery from the past - dealing with manipulations and machinations of rich and powerful - mature love - a closer look at lower- and middle-class life

a couple teams up to solve a mystery. Mistaken identity of both leads. Good romance, but a bit forced at times. Good production.

time looping for the main characters that need to resolve the issue/unravel the mystery. One minor issue with Reunion is - it does not resolve much but it gives us an ending where both parties will finally work together using the remaining lives left to fix whatever needs to be fixed. Perhaps in season 2?

how to come to terms with being different and hated by most? How to love someone who is different and hated by most?

This is a story of struggle and fight for equal rights and freedom of those who have been enslaved/captured. And it requires a lot of work and moral spine to do what is right.

we have a smart girl with charms' skills and a martial arts master married to a hostage prince who actually met the first one and liked her, but then was decreed to marry the other one who resents him. Trying to figure out how the leads will reconcile the "triangle" will be fun

revenge story in both cases but RftA has a FL that managed to be a likable one whereas in The Lady Commander I understood the anger of the FL, but could not find her methods kosher

More than one person gets reincarnated into the story filled with unrequited love, hatred and sweet romance
