Oh no, I can't decide who to root the FL with because both the ML and SML personalities are so funny (even though we know who she ends with). Then there's Seo Yeon's brothers potential love/friendship stories - so many potential ships here <3
It's just TV censorship, I guess Thailand is more strict/conservative when it comes to showing people drinking alcohol. The same applies to Korean TV when they blur out tattoos etc.
Just watched the second episode and it was enjoyable :) The casting of this ensemble is really good, and I'm more intrigued by the supporting characters ' back stories - particularly the brothers and the introduction of the two new girls. I wasn't sure to continue watching after the first episode, but the 2nd episode was a lot more interesting.
It's very unfortunate on what happened to Cha In Ha, but I'm glad we are allowed to see his final piece - even though it's going to be bitter sweet.
I don't care, people can hate me and yell at me for saying this but Type is legit my most hated character ever…
hahaha no one's gonna hate you, it's completely understandable to think that way.
I can't seem to hate the guys. Their troubled past, scars and intense chemistry brought them together so we're bound to have a maddening relationship. I think because their relationship is so different from other drama couples is what I find that's intriguing - it's not afraid to go into dark gritty bitter side of relationships. Honestly for every Type that's around, there's always a Tharn lol.
I think they were going for a dark erotic take on this scene - like how both are passionate but dangerously obsessive…
Definitely I think that's why they did this drama in 2 parts. There's always this excitement before getting together, now they are in the hard yard so it's noticeable seeing Mew's aura change. Oh yes he did mention that both Mew and Gulf had to post pone a scene for episode 10 because it was so difficult to do.
I think also think episode 9's pacing was too jumpy, because we went to one setting on to the next without really going to the nitty gritty stuff. It can't be helped though, I'm sure the writer and director want to put so much more but can't. No problems with being analytical, this drama makes you question a lot haha.
Am I the only one who really disliked the bathroom scene? Than pushing himself on Type even though he knows what…
I think they were going for a dark erotic take on this scene - like how both are passionate but dangerously obsessive with each other. They are both very drawn to to each other sexually but as well through their past traumas. But I don't think it may be translated well on screen, since it was borderline SM territory by viewers since it's not your typical drama. From what I remember he really wanted to make Tharn incredibly jealous. However Type has mentioned a few times that he doesn't like treated like a girl, so he likes it complicated and rough? hmmmmm lol.
What helps me to understand this drama is not seeing whether Type is likeable or not, but see that he is a troubled complex person who's held his scars for longer than he should. So for me rather than thinking whether I should like Tharn/Type I'm just given the opportunity to see their story, and how they developed. It's very understandable for some viewers to dislike Type, but as for me I find him so interesting and complex alongside Tharn.
The way Type expressed his affections are mostly so round about/defensive, so when he said he would hurt Tharn x10 if he was cheated on would mean he really loves Tharn - kinda like saying ''I love you more than you think I do, so if you hurt me you'll regret it''. Both characters have both suffered so much, but their road to a beautiful relationship isn't going to be easy. It's going to be a roller coaster, literally.
I really wished this drama was 16 episodes because it would have been lovely to have more scenes dedicated to how the leads think. Aside from the bathroom scene, I appreciated that Type was able to openly express his jealously (Cheers San), was polite towards Tharn's family and friends (e.g. Jeed) and took initiative to know Tharn better which surprised Techno. I think TharnType should be renamed: TharnType - Dangerously in love :P
(Sorry for the long post got a bit too enthusiastic lol)
Okay, I have a question for anyone that might know. I've read that Tharn is supposed to be of mixed race, part…
I remember reading a tweet somewhere that Tharn's mother is full Thai, his father is Thai-American - which makes Tharn 1/4 American 3/4 Thai. Not sure if it's correct haha. Tharn's father and sister definitely look mixed, and whilst Tharn (Mew) isn't as obvious as the former two I can see him pulling it off :)
Edit: Mainly because I still don't know what is the general Thai look lol, there seems to be so many Thai celebrities with different ethnicities. Is there someone Thai who can help? ><
Yeap, Type did pay attention to Tharn when saying what he wanted for his birthday XD!!!! And I understood what…
Lol! Yeah it's so Type, always coming up with creative ways to express his affection. Will we get Fanta next or are we back with Sprite? That is concerning indeed ..... haha.
Wow this comment board is so active, 4000 comments seems too easy to reach lol.
I actually don't mind seeing criticism/feedback from those who are still watching the drama - because then we can openly discuss on what we didn't like and are open to seeing what future episodes can provide. If you've dropped it this week, it's sad to see you go - but feel free to write criticism/feedback. It only feels awkward if you've dropped it weeks ago, and are still lurking around lol.
Another matter to discuss is the wrong perception that TharnType viewers are here purely for the NC scenes, that's just not right. I'm loving this drama because it's not afraid to go outside the boundaries and showcase the ugly side of relationships and personalities, and that no one is perfect. It's quite a unique standalone drama. Sure it has it moments where it's bewildering, but I'm still curious on how these two will grow together.
Anyways aside from TharnType, what other dramas are you all watching? I'm watching Catch the Ghost :)
