Looking back on one of the eps, Theo had a senior he talked to on the phone that we haven't seen yet. So there's a possibility, that Akk might feel insecure and not feel like he is good enough for him. If the Senior isn't involved, then Akk's lack of confidence will still be there, as there is a yet to be aired scene from the trailer.
Plus we have some loose ends of the side characters (Apologies, I'm too lazy to remember names): The Art Rep and the junior that's crushing on him, The sporty dude and that female teacher (honestly she should've been edited as a student manager lol), The Music rep and his music career ...and the Lit Rep and his financial struggle.

Personally for me I didn't have high expectations for the drama, and waited until the 8th ep aired. It turned out to be a more enjoyable experience, and I'd say it's worth the watch.
I was holding off because, I couldn't get the the chemistry from the leads from the trailer -mainly because they looked similar. But as eps go by, you're rooting for them hardcore ~ plus they do say couples end up looking alike.
I thought I was a fan of slow burn dramas, but this is crazy haha. It's actually the first time I've had to use the speed button for a bearable watch. Usually characters speak slower during pivotal moments but here it's used excessively, even between friends talking to each other for nonsensical things. In some scenes I was pretty much thinking "hell nah, the actors are probably thinking wtf is happening". I wonder if their patience was running thin having to talk like that. The director has a good grasp of capturing beautiful shots, but seriously lacks sense of time.
It has the potential, I see the chemistry (minus the second leads...hmmm lol) but I hope they tone down on the slowmo I...................hoooopppppppee..........Anyways as a tip if you put it on 1.25x speed, you can watch it at a more natural slow burn pace, or at 1.5+ if it's killing you softly LOL.
Lol it was hard not to see Shinwoo as Seokjin, as his ears go red too when flustered. I really wished we had more Taekyung and Shinwoo scenes though, they really dragged the reply on us lol.
Hope there's a Season 2, as it looks like there's a chance that it's the teachers story. So fingers crossed we get the council crew again for S2, or at least a cameo so we can see their after story lol.
I'm also so glad they didn't push Sohee and Namgoong together (at least for now) It's nice to see character development but let's not reward 180 change characters.
imo not really lol but I do think Taekyung resembles Minhyuk from Monsta X
Yeah it's really only so slightly, not enough to say they are similar. I think with Shin Woo it's the lips and how it resembles other actors like Yang Se Jong and Kim Dong Hee (who are known to look like Jin). As for the TK it's the bass like voice and unique looking features. I can see where you're getting at, he also looks like someone from Stray Kids haha.
Random but the actors playing Shinwoo and Taekyung slightly resemble Jin and Taehyung. They're like the softer looking versions. I can't unsee it hahaha.
For once I need to see a selfish character like her end up facing consequences. This director's prior two series…
Oh nooooo, I'm going to put my hopes down for that then. Same here, if TK and SW are end game then I'm content with slight disappointment on yet another ridiculously annoying trope haha.
I really hope Sohee and Nam Goong are not end game. There was already a hint that NG was getting love advice from the teacher., and that bickering screen time. The last thing I want to see is a nasty character ending up with the nicest guy, because "they can't be truly nice on their own". For reals.

Might check out Star bride itself, I haven't watched a Singaporean drama in a long time. I also agree that a C-drama or even K-drama remake/ 202X revamp would do really well.

It's been a while since I watched this but it reminds me of Korean drama Golden Bride. But the female lead is half Korean half Vietnamese, and is looking for her Korean father. She also starts off in a fake marriage with the ml. It was a pretty popular drama at the time (20% av rating), so it's interesting to see a contemporary drama with similar setting.

I actually much prefer 2gether at this stage in terms of writing, it flowed much better. I'm still scarred by the sasaengs here and numerous ruined buildups/reveals haha.

It honestly would've been a hit, but it fell in the superficial category barely touching the surface when it came to the plot and depth of characters. Every time something was revealed it always fell flat. So all in all, it feels like such a waste of potential. It's not a horrible drama, I like most of the characters and the ost is refreshing but the wasted potential is a pity.

I remember back then it was both, it was so bad. What surprised me the most was the occasional Inetz bagging on the way she looked especially here on MDL it was ruthless. Her acting was good, but she was pretty much given the most hated role. Not just as a replacement but Eunjae's storyline in s2 went 180. I honestly wish we have more mods here in MDL, it gets really brutal sometimes.
