they were like strangers for like 2 minutes, the moment he saw her he choked her, IMMEDIATE ENEMIES
damn i didn't think my joke would garner such a reaction. obv they were strangers but so are most enemies to lovers books//shows/content... but nobody calls it strangers to enemies to lovers. What do you consider enemies to lovers then huh? Or do you just call everything strangers to enemies to lovers! And regardless, I meant in regards to the show, not prior to the show. Even if I did misunderstand i promise its not that deep i gotta go to english class for.

That's true, although I say wish he could make it up to her, I have no clue what he could do... MAYBE him saving her life (which he does) but it needs to come from a place of guilt and forgiveness not a lil crush.

I totally get you, like my jaw DROPPED during that scene. I am really enjoying it though and I can't wait for the romance and him making it up to her (sadly not out of his guilt but his love). If you really like romance and aren't completely set on giving up, try watching the teasers on wetv, they are sweet!
Pei yan actually scares me now. Like after that one scene, outlook completely changed. I enjoyed their scenes where she helped them out and him crying when hearing her talk about his responsibility. Now whenever he talks to her or has any reaction toward her, it feels unnerving. Like don't put that coat on her, get ur paws off old man!!
yes continue! I think the last cruel moment is at episode 9 and honestly my jaw dropped that episode of what he…
Honestly yes, she trusts him and I think she also says that. The cutesey wasn't what made it disappear. It was one moment where she saw who he was and who the injustices he and his people were fighting for. If you want spoiler it was... when she saw people who worked for him die.
But I completely agree, understanding him or love shouldn't make any acts of cruelty null. You know in all boys over flowers remake, the ML NEVER properly apologizes to her... and yet she falls in love (except thai version, love him). I might be confused but wasn't the ML in LLTG green as hell?
I love a good enemies to lovers or a ML that is not a green flag as long as they get their comeuppance or we get a scene of them GROVELING! BEGGING for forgiveness. Unfortunately that rarely happens. Again I doubt it will happen here, it will simply be understanding him.

The first one was where he was literally WATER BOARDING HER! Thats far worse then a stab or poison cause it was pure torture.
The other moment that FIRMLY ended the potential triangle was when pei yan MADE HER STAB HIM!!! I did NOT see that coming, surprised and scared the hell out of me.
Why the rating of this drama is so low? It should've crossed 8.5 by now :)
Cause people hate the cruelty, and honestly rightfully so. They really need to sell his making up for all that he did to her in order for people to accept it. In reality, no sane person would forgive, let alone fall in love with someone that did those things to them. If he really can make it up to her or apologize sincerly, it makes it all worth it and I hope after that the rating can rocket.
I've watched till ep 5 and I'm debating on whether I should continue this since the ml was pretty cruel with the…
yes continue! I think the last cruel moment is at episode 9 and honestly my jaw dropped that episode of what he did to her. However she is so smart, and she gets out of her situation. They sort of have a mutual civil relationship after that, no harm but starting to understand that. Start of episode 13 things are becoming more cutesy, romantic. And he is starting to payback for what he did in a sense.
Also there is no love triangle honestly. There is one moment where any sense of the triangle dies. That moment shook me to my core. There are technically two but you'll see which one I'm referring to.
Omg episode 9 was amazing, I have never seen the actress for the FL before but she is doing a phenomenal job. The interrogation scene was perfect. She said everything needed to be said, did everything needed to be done (the symbol GENIUS). Its a very satisfying episode. Also the expression of the ML's face when those two died... amazing, you could tell exactly how he felt.
1) Wei Zhao would be a potential suspect of the killing of Teng Rui. However, Wei Zhao planned ahead by throwing…
Okayyy so he planned this set up before the incident. Fan Yi (the other general) knew that Wei Zhao wanted to do something but he wasn't fully in on it, he had the impression that they would have someone use the sewer plan not the lamb plan. Thank you for clearing it up! The wording on iQiyi confused me, she said she jumped in the water.
And did she know Wei Zhao was Xiao WuXia because she initally realized he was from Yuelou. Then when he tried to clear himself saying he had a master, make her assume its XWX, it sets the idea that he is in on it but didn't do it. But when she realized he was setting everything up to make the sewer plan, it could only be him and not his master (cause he was there every step of the way leading the investigation in this path?) Maybe you can explain it better than I can haha
I need help understanding how Jiang Ci got to that conclusion in the start of episode 8. Spoilers below!! What made her think that he forged the evidence of someone using the sewer system to sneak in. She mentioned things that happened before but I don't know how they connect cause details are blurry. Did she throw him into the water or did he throw them both? Did he tell her to do it? Did she know he can't swim (or will fake that he can't)? Is Tong yi lying about not checking the back of the house? She mentioned he was tricked, who tricked him, how did she know? How does she know who he really is? She said he got the idea when pei yan brought it up... how?!?
Also what did she drop her seeds for? Did he tell her to fall, did she think of it herself to get him to let go of her hand? I think it was to show they don't have good relationship, but its all weird.
