hanyoung decided to tell/lie to shinjin about how he wanted revenge for his father, to save park cheol woo from…
This was very helpful. My time was limited and I FF thru the violent scenes (and I will try to rewatch before the weekend), but this helps explain quite a bit for the remainder of the episode. Thanks.
Woah, that must be intentional. Then they will be forced to deal with the IMF crisis - no business escaped the impact although some were able to recover faster (Samsung, for instance), many - big and small - were destroyed.
What a roller-coaster this weekend was! From one scheme to crisis to scheme to crisis. Hard to keep track. Question for other viewers? Is Kang Sin-jin playing a game with Han-young to see what might happen? OR, has he already decided that Han-young needs to be crushed and he is laying a trap for him? I really don't understand how the newest judge candidate fits into Han-young or Kang Sin-jin's plans.
As much as I love the corruption story and how Han Young's going after Sin Jin and the rest of the politicians,…
Interesting, because I have the exact opposite reaction. Those scenes were fine in the overall into episodes, but they bore me to tears now. Neither his parents nor the neighbors appeared in the webtoon for more than a handful of scenes.
HOWEVER, having said that, it shows the writer knows what he is doing by including those heart-warming scenes that help humanize Han-young, and Jeong-ho because it appeals to a wider set of viewers - like you. π
I just wish they would humanize Se-Hui just a leetle bit more in these early episodes.
As of the end of Ep. 5 - when Lee Han-yeong said "Now it really begins" we are now in full throttle 2nd Act "messy middle" of kdrama land and I'm enjoying every minute. In Episode 7, Han-yeong was juggling: (i) taking ensuring that victims of the sinkhole were justly compensated; (ii) ensuring that Mayor's punishment was only the beginning; (iii) playing suck-up to the Haneul law firm; (iv) psychological fencing with evil Kang sin-jin; (v) strategic plan for Woo Kyung-hoon's downfall; (vi) manipulating prosecutors Park Cheol U and Kim Jin A to eventually join his battle.
2nd Act is like a freaking spider-web - How does Han-young keep track of every single spider and - like any good 2nd Act - which one will eventually bite him.
And finally. . . . .getting Yoo Se-hui in the palm of his hand. He's still using that poor darling. I hope he wakes up soon and realizes how special she is. From MBC:
It's mighty hard to hold out until tomorrow so I could watch both new episodes together! It's only 10:50am on a…
There was ALOT going on in Episode 7 with Han-young juggling so many side plots, I couldn't keep up. I'm going to re-watch again just to try and understand. You are probably smart to watch it all at once so that it flows together.
In chapter 227 he married her again!chp 227 is yet to be released in english tho!
I predicted from the very beginning (because it was just so obvious) that there would be some sort of happy ending for the couple. But there is a lot - one helluva lot - of story/plot to play out for the final battle(s) to play out. I haven't paid to read/translate the final chapters because the drama is already departing in some ways from the webtoon.
The overall drama story is consistent with the manwha, but there are many changes (some subtle, some significant) in the characters and their individual stories. I don't see an actual wedding at the end (heck, I doubt if we even get a real kiss), but they will definitely be a couple and I look forward to each one individually realizing that they were meant to be.
In the webtoon, I think this scene is perhaps the 1st time when Han-young tries to remind himself that he hates Se-hui, but has trouble doing so. He takes her to a restaurant that was a favorite of hers (in past time-line). But webtoon Se-hui (webtoon) acts as if it is her first time there - and she looks so cute that Han-young begins to soften towards her.
In the drama, even w/out subs, it's clear that she has been there before. A really cute scene and there is no way that Se-hui (drama) is going to turn out to be the same as 2035 Se-hui. I'm really looking forward to how this dynamic plays out (not counting on smooth sailing but should be fun).
I was enjoying myself, but his ex-wife is ruining it for me... she's really the average annoying fl in kdrama,…
He gets redemption to "fix his mistakes" (presumably). She will get redemption (presumably) because the original dynamics (loveless marriage vs no marriage) are different. And then he - together with his rag-tag team - will get revenge against the villains. Viewers like me LOVE Redemption Arcs.
One reason that Season 4 might be iffy is that the set for CEO Jang's house/tunnel/secret hideout is one huge all-connected set in a sound stage. With no immediate plans for a fourth season, it would be expensive to keep the set together for several years.
Frankly, I would love to see limited (perhaps 6 episodes) mini-seasons where the Rainbow team travels internationally partially and then uses the taxi on-location in SKorea. Perhaps they could at least preserve the secret hide-out set.
But mostly, I'm just sitting around hoping for news about Season 2 of The Art of Negotiation. ππ
FL nowhere to be found, she got less screen time than his ex wife.
Her overall role is still to come as Han-Young uses her to bring down Jang Tae Sik . And HE is important to Han-Young only because it will bring down Kang Sin-jin. She is not a romantic element in this drama.
Triangle is clearly Jeong-hoo and Albert O but there's no way Geom-bo will have feelings for Albert. I hope they don't extend his crush (or whatever) for a full 16 episodes. Not sure if they will pair him with any other woman since they are all older than him.

Thanks for the tidbit from the webtoon. π
