the guy who stabbed Lee Han-young pre-regression was Kwak sun-won not kim sang-jin.
Kwak Sun-won is the man that was torturing someone in earlier episode - I thought he was different than the man following Han-yeong??? There is a mystery person on the MBC Character chart named Park Dang-go but so far there's no indication of who he is.
After seeing the preview for episode 6 XD, it's confirmed that the ex-spouses will get back together, but now…
They will have a love/hate relationship (according to the MBC character chart). Also, she's on Team Kang Sin Jin in the beginning. I do think that the writer is establishing her as someone who will deserve a redemption arc - her father and Sin-jin are using/manipulating her and Lee Han Yeong is just as ruthless.
I'll be surprised if they actually get married in the drama.
I hope in this new life Han Young and Sehee really fall in love π, and maybe team up too against the villains.…
I would like to see it as well (there were glimmers in 2035 that she was unhappy that he ignored her, but she has too much pride to say so). But, I'm not getting my hopes up - according to MBC web site, she's on team Sin Jim - at least in the beginning.
the junk collector lady who always visits his parents junkyard is the one who picked up the book, while sorting…
The junk collector part was easy to understand. I guess you're right - Mom simply thought the ledger was suspicious enough to call her son. I'm also unclear how Han Young knows that the ledger exists and why it is important - I don't think we got a flashback to 2035 yet. Or, perhaps I missed something with reporter lady and her father - that entire sequence didn't seem to add anything.
I'm wondering if I missed a scene. W/out being too spoilerish, at the end of Ep. 4, many people are searching for a spiral bound "ledger. Han Young's mother calls him, excited that she has found a book as described. Was there a scene where he told her what he was looking for? How did she know he was searching for it?
Or, is this possibly another "missing scene" that will be filled in at the beginning of Ep. 5? Honestly, if true, I hate that kind of trickery writing - so lazy.
Watching this, I'd like him to end up with his future ex-wife XD She's not all bad, she's just spoiled.
Lots of folks on the internet hoping she has a redemption arc. I would also like it - they have good chemistry. But. . . it's not clear that they will even get married this time around. Lots more to unfold.
I began to watch this on Disney+ a few months ago, paused and then started up again tonight. But I swear - every 5 minutes there was 1.5 minutes of ads/commercials. Spoils the entire vibe, train-of-thought, "tense moment, whatever. Sadly, I'm going to drop and I say sadly because the drama was clearly a fun, irreverent kdrama. πππ
I have tried to write my thoughts about Ep. 16 several times, but I keep tearing up. Not because of the leads, the plot, the villain. But because of what this may have meant to South Korea - a country I have visited and hope to return.
South Koreans live with the constant reminders of their closeness to North Korea - in museums, media, and daily awareness. it's a core part of the national psyche. Before the weekend, I speculated that the villain might try to ignite a war with the North. Or, less likely, try to push for martial law. Silly me for thinking it was one or the other.
The scene that broke me was the one with the young soldiers - committed to training for their home country, but suddenly confused and fearful. Every SK male must serve 2 (+/-) years in the SK military. Every family with a son prays and hopes their son will serve with honor and "peace" will prevail.
Anyway, ending the series with a plot that honored the sacrifice and loyalty of the SK military (most of the corrupted were not military) was perfect IMHO. Just perfect. 10β
i think there is gonna be an s4 because of the cliffhanger
It's not really a cliffhanger. It's an epilogue. - a glimpse into the future as the Rainbow team continues to fight against villains. Also a small gift to viewers because Madam Lim (?) has been a favorite villain.
Now that my "must-watch" kdrama Taxi Driver 3 has ended, I need to go back and re-watch Episodes 1-4 (sorry, didn't pay 100% attention). What happened in 2035 that might change; what might Lee Han Yeong do (in 2025) so that will be a PLUS. And - sorry to say this, but it is inevitable - what awful consequence will he royally screw-up the timeline. I'm worried about his mother - actress Hwang Young Hee (Han-yeong's mother) is "guest", not supporting.
Love the intricate plot thus far and various stories, but I hope that among the various forthcoming plot twists, there are some very A+ ones to cheer for.
This is my understanding of the ending: The Rainbow Crew will continue to operate in the future, taking out the bad guys as needed. We may get to see them again, or not but the viewer can be happy knowing they are still together, working for justice.
Production team has said repeatedly that Season 3 was written as if it was the final season. But Kim Ji-hoon also said he hopes Taxi Driver can continue if it maintains the same direction and message - something that long-term American dramas frequently fail to do. He has also said he hopes that there will be a Season 2, possibly 3 of "The Art of Negotiation" (which is my biggest hope π)
The final episode feels so rushed. Like they even added Elements to it so they had a shortcut to end it quickly.
The episode was 10+ more minutes than usual. I loved the Elements scenes - they were a terrific wrap-up for Season 3 because it included many characters from Season 3 - the schoolgirls, Maria, the reporter, the elderly father, maybe the former taxi driver (?). This drama has always mixed fantasy and humor with thriller and I thought it was a great way to wrap it up.
Ending with a family dinner chef's kiss and a brief glimpse into their future was also heart-warming (the Rainbow Crew is together).

Well, since we are at end game with the drama, looks like they are going out with ultimate military conspiracy - something like a rogue general trying to start a war with the North? Or, less likely, a rogue general trying to create a situation where martial law is imposed?
I'm still not happy that the big reveal and the conflict/fight and the happy ending will be squeezed all into one episode. π
I'm glad that the entire team is assembled together to battle against the final villain. In so many of the other stories, most of the team was absent in the final fights and many of them never actually shared a scene with the villain.
the tv version didn't have one either, pre-release will be released tomorrow morning ig they're trying to keep…
There were no credits at the end (on Viki), except to thank Yoo Seon-ah for her special appearance. My guess is that Kim Jong Soo's character was the man in the car that handed instructions to Kim Do-gi. If that was his voice, they would be required to include him in the credits. I smell a set-up but I hope that Park Jae-wong isn't part of it.
Holy Guacamole, this Ep. 15 sneak peek is. . . actually, can't find the words.
SBS says: "Mysterious Masked Agent π₯· Lightning-fast infiltration mission that ends in the blink of an eye!"
Is it Do-gi? the female mentioned in the PR (Sergeant Yoo Seon Ah who is supposedly dead)?? Someone else? I should ask AI to figure out the eyes, I guess. [Secret wish: It's Go--eun β€οΈ but I know that's silly. } Enjoy!!

So, Season 4 is possible - the door is open.
Ending with a family dinner chef's kiss and a brief glimpse into their future was also heart-warming (the Rainbow Crew is together).
