Yes, she's frustrating - the entire show is built around her "hot mess" character. We have seen bits and pieces of her early life, but sooner or later we will see a scene where she and Mi-ho return from Europe and that's when she learns that "Mom" never loved her for herself - she was simply a tool/product. It must have been devastating - it WILL be devastating when the viewer finally sees it. Not that I'm looking forward to it - I almost cried today during the scenes and descriptions of Ji-ho's earlier life with That Bitch. But I love the Ji-ho character even more. 💕

No worries - I just wanted to clarify that, like you, I don't like the guy. Maybe pity him, but don't really care what happens to him.

I'm glad we learned that Ji-ho's first wife was and is a first class bitch. Ji-ho also grew up poor but we learned today that he worked hard for everything he achieved while she used him and abused him - including getting him to do her homework. I wonder if he helped her in law school as well? Or she slept with her professors. She's not that smart.

Because she is a lying cheat, I'm hope we get to see her mega-downfall. More likely, however - she will seduce older brother Kang and lives happily ever after.😢😢

If you are pointing to my comment, I said the viewer understands why he wants to separate from his family. but I really don't like him and I can't justify his actions with Sang Eun.😊😊

In today's episode, we got more back story on ji-ho and his first wife. I think we are still missing big chunks of whatever happened to Sang Eun when she went berserk at the chaebol dinner.

Prior episodes show Sang Eun viewing Mi-ho AS HER MOTHER. She thought Mi-ho adopted her.

How old was she when she was taken to the chaebol dinner? 18 years? 22 years? We don't know yet what happened to Sang Eun - what was she told, what did they say to her that she feels so worthless. So, for those saying she's a hot mess - hello? ya think?

My point is - the viewer now knows/understands why Ji-ho became so unemotional and unable to express himself. We have heard the words spoken to him by his aunt and former wife - an apparent gold-digger./status seeker. We even understand Hae Jin and why he has tried to separate from his family.

I think there's more to Sang Eun's story. It wouldn't be a k-drama "rom-com" without the big childhood trauma reveal and then grand finale happy ending. 😂

I agree - we are probably going to get at least 2 nonesense/filler episodes that don't move the story forward at all.

I was sick this weekend and spent my time re-watching all 8 episodes back-to-back and I'm now looking at dates (on the show - they made a point of clearly identifying them with calendars, etc.).

I will watch. But not for "Naksu" or Jang Uk. After all, there are THREE story arcs with AoS, not just one.

Agree - he finally bent the rules (or accepted that they could be bent) very late in Part 1. It would be a MAJOR re-write if he broke the rules back in Ep. 1 pr 2. Not that I put that past the Hong sisters.

I believe the writers left several options open - either part of the original script or inserted at a very late date because. . . .who knows?. Ep. 1: Gil Ju was clearly ordered to retrieve the body (frozen) of Naksu. Episode 2 (Mark 39 or so): Jin Mu tells the assassins "you will also be given new bodies through the alchemy of souls" and we see "Naksu's" body on the floor of the building. And then, Jin Mu orders that they all be killed. Jin Mu appears to believe it is her real body because he was searching for the person/woman that Naksu soul-shifted with. He also wanted a very, very public burning.

For me, it is much easier to believe that Jin Mu stashed Naksu's frozen body somewhere. Or, Seo Yul stashing the body somewhere. I can accept that more than being forced to believe the rising-from-the-ashes-mumble-abracadabra-ice-stone-mumble-mumble.

Just finished Ep. 2 - really like the main leads and peripheral characters. But it's a pain to watch on-line (VPn plus Disney+) and I would like at least like some hint of romance. Anything positive romantic vibes by Ep 6? If not, maybe I'll binge watch at some point.

Haha, the last one for me (and still #1, but this show may make it a tie) was Go-jin and Shin-a on Crazy Love. I'm enjoying this romance and steeling myself against the probable makjang moment that seems to be a hallmark of many PMY dramas.

Sometimes I watch a k-drama and just think - oh get on with it and admit your feelings.

And then there are others - like "Love in Contract" - where I think, I can wait because whenever it happens, it will be heart-stopping. I love the way the writers are portraying ji-ho. The childhood history was helpful (I guess) to understand why he is so introverted, but frankly it didn't matter to me. He is what he is. He wants to be a good man that does good things. It's been months since I looked forward to the next episode of a show.

He doesn't know if the kiss was because its her job to make everyone believe she loves him or because she actually has feelings. On the other hand she also has no clue what he's thinking and feeling. Well, when they finally figure it out or act upon their feelings, that will be one hell of a grand show and I am looking forward to it.
