Wait where was the hug that had everyone rampaging earlier?
TvN frequently includes scenes from both weekend episodes in their preview for the Saturday episode. Based on still cut article, it's likely tomorrow.

For anyone who might want a refresher on the tree story, saw it laid out nicely on Instagram. It was from Season…
I mentioned this earlier because I thought the words were so similar and I checked the episode. Minor corretion - it's Episode 4, Mark 16. What many refer to as the "forehead" scene. Absolutely one of my favorites.

I heard my Danggu and Cho Yeon had a sweet moment too πŸ₯ΊπŸ₯Ί
Finally ChoDang sweet moment. πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•I'm still a bit upset that they didn't give us a bit more angst/tension in earlier episodes (they didn't even share a scene in Ep. 4) but I'll take the crumbs. Hopefully crybaby Dang-gu is gone!

Why so many people complaining about ep 5..? Consider this is the adlib of a song while preparing for the climax..…
It's the first episode that I really enjoyed watching. Dang-gu and Cho-yeon sweet and adorable for almost FIVE MINTUES of screen time. We learned Maidservant Kim's real name and Park Jin PROPOSED! So-i (who needs to die an excruciating painful death for all of the innocent lives she led to death) is stepping up and so "painful" death might not be required but DEATH still required. We learned more about the drought and volcano bird relic. Jang Uk finally - FINALLY - got his brain in gear and outsmarted the Queen.

A very good episode. Primarily because of ChoDang, but lots of other lovely tidbits.

As God is my witness, it better be Jin Bu-yeon/Naksu/Cho Yeong who deals the final death blow to Jin Mu. Anything else will be be. . . . .meh.

i miss jung so min, need a s3 for mu deok's story :/
I also miss her, but the show must go on, lol.

Earlier today, I re-watched one of her scenes with Jang Uk - the one where she is trying to keep him awake and she tells the story of the bird egg at the top of the tree, alone and powerless - and he is the only one who can take care of her. Those are the words that resonated with Jang Uk at the end of today's episode. I was once again awe struck at her talent and skill.

GYJ is a good actress and writers were smart to not try and make her "assassin Naksu" for all 10 episodes of Part 2. It seems they are going for a mix of young, innocent Cho Yeong and divine priestess JBY.

i don't think he is trying to get her back, since he burned the wooden bird, i think he wanted to apologize for…
Yul is dying -- give him a break for this one last wish.

in season 1 Heo Yoon Ok she got a lot of hate doing absolutely nothing wrong, i actually found her to be quite…
Blame the writers - at least the actress is good enough to portray the change in personality but presonally I find her appearance to be the most worthless of all in terms of story progression. I would gladly trade her screen time for just a few more minutes of Cho-yeon and Dang-gu. πŸ’•

Can someone please remind me about the tree story from S1?
I thought that Bu-yeon's words in today's scene was closer to when Mu-deok told Jang Uk a story in order to keep him awake, She talked about being a bird in a tree, alone and powerless and that he was the only one who could take care of her. And that her life was in his hands.

I’m also unsure about the Drought as well it’s not. Clear why , it seems to be sorcery as it somehow comes…
tvN said Cho-yeon and Dang-gu will form "a delicate and complex relationship". They are my favorites and I know they have a happy ending (marriage - although who know if we will actually see it). At some point, Dang-gu is involved in fight and carrying his bow and arrow. And Arin said something about looking forward to this weekend with a blushing face emoji. So, keeping my fingers crossed.

As for the reason for Yeong having Bu-yeon's body, the implication is that bu-yeon chose Naksu for a reason. I don't have a theory except that all roads lead back to Jin Seol-ran. AoS is the story of mages trying to defy their fate/destiny. So,. . . something, something. . . ice stone. . . destiny. πŸ˜‡

I've been waiting for you to show up when I'm here as well. I finally located the BTS photo we discussed earlier…
I remember a long twitter post (can't find it now) where at first everyone guessed it was Jae wook. And then others chimed in and argued that it was In-soo/Dang-gu. But that was before Part 2 began. I now think it is Uncle Seo.

As for Cho-yeon (and Mama Jin's) clothes - they are repeated over and over again in Part 2. πŸ˜₯πŸ˜₯πŸ˜₯

I was so busy today so I didn't have any time to check there but damn... Today the fandom was fed so well that…
I've been waiting for you to show up when I'm here as well. I finally located the BTS photo we discussed earlier with a man outside Jinyowon w/Mama Jin and Cho-yeon. I think it's Uncle Seo since Dang-gu is now wearing long robes.

you have to dig down through the tweet and translation. If you can't see it, let me know.

Thanks for responding. So. . . the grand/ultimate Jin Mu/Queen scheme is still unclear I guess??? I don't mind them slowly explaining it since it will probably be the grand finale.

wrt Uncle Seo, I sensed a possible rivalry with Dang-gu when they first saw each other in Chwiseonru. And now Uncle wants to clean up Songrim? That's Dang-gu's job. Plus, there's the BTS of a man at Jinyowon speaking to Mama Jin and Cho-yeon - and I think it might be Uncle Seo.

I'm unhappy that we aren't getting more interaction with these ChoDang, even if it was angry and bitter to start off. 30 second scenes are meaningless. For the record, the miniscule Cho-Dang moments are the ONLY scenes I have re-watched. 😍

Mama Jin at the constellation basin - I thought she was probably looking at Cho Yeong's constellation chart because it's her last filmed scene (which doesn't mean everything) and she appears to be smiling. My theory is that she will finally understand why it was critical for JBY and Cho-yeong to share her daughter's body.

This is how I understood it: Ultimately they want an ice stone. 2 things to achieve this: They need Jinyowon,…
Whew!! That was a terrific explanation of how one scheme led to another and got us to our current situation. It is so convoluted - no wonder I couldn't keep up.
THANK YOU.

Re: the original rain dance - I think it was Ep. 7 where they showed Jin Seol-ran performing the original rain dance that resulted in the original "unmelting" ice stone.

As for Uncle Seo, Joe Jae-yoon (Jin Mu) posted a video when Team B (?)) filming was complete and it showed Jin Mu, Uncle Seo and the Queen on location in a forest - so sooner or later, those three will be scheming/conspiring together.

I mentioned earlier that I haven't been able to keep up with Part 2 - I FF quite a bit last weekend and have had no time to re-watch and concentrate on the subs. I am very confused about the Jin Mu/Queen/Uncle Seo story and am wondering if it's going to impact my favorite couple (ChoDang).

This is my general understanding but there are major gaps:
**Uncle Seo - an ambitious scoundrel - came to Daeho to marry Jin Bu-yeon - wedding cancelled.
** Daeho began to experience a drought (Lake Gyeongcheondaeho exactly 3 years ago - do we know why? Is it possibly connected to JBY's death? Or, is it sorcery?
** The wells in Daeho are also drying up - but that seems to be sorcery?
**Jin Mu and the Queen want to get control of Jinyowon - because of some relic associated with the drought but is that the only reason? (I'm really confused on this one).
** I REALLY don't understand their scheme for getting control of Jinyowon - I would have thought the marriage between Uncle Seo and JBY would be a good one but the Queen was angry about that.
** Killing Jin Bu-yeon - I still don't understand why her death would have helped them get control of Jinyowon

I'm worried that since the plan to kill JBY didn't work, then they will try to arrange a marriage between Uncle Seo and my precious Cho-yeon! But I still don't understand the ultimate goal - what am I missing?

Thanks in advance.

Oh, that must be so hard with Christmas and surgery recovery! I hope AOS is a nice mental break! My understanding…
Thanks for your answer - it confirms my impressions as well.

My daughter had major surgery in June (this one was minor) and I was house-bound for several weeks and could re-watch AoS scenes, take notes, work on the Character Descriptions. Thankfully I am not obsessed with Part 2 - but still interested enough to try and understand the new dynamics.

Yesterday, I was finally able to watch complete AoS episodes with subs while wrapping gifts and baking cookies. No time to re-wind and re-watch but some gaps were filled in for me. But things are still crazy in my house (daughter had more surgery two days ago) and I have several questions.

Is the character "Jin Bu-yeon" becoming a "melding" of Cho Yeong's soul/energy and original JBY's divine/celestial powers that are infused with her body/blood? Who turned off the lamp - was it Naksu's energy that turned the lamp off? Or was it JBY's body (as a Jin).

It appears the sword and jade reacted to Cho-yeong ("Mu-deok"/"Naksu") "energy. Is this correct?

But when she sees the ice stone ("pretty" rock) or senses other people's energy and personalities (Dang-gu and Cho-yeon are pure and bright), that's JBY's divine power. Is this correct?

I have separate question re:; Queen/Jin Mu/etc. and will post later.
