Speak for yourself. ChoDang and Park jin/Maidservant Kim deserve every second of romance that we can wring out of the writers. They were short-changed.

I'm going to have a hard time getting to 8.0 Still reviewing my thoughts and how much weight I put on different factors (acting, plot/writing, Cgi). But whatever I come up with, I will add a one ⭐ for the absolutely brilliant decision of director Park Joon Hwa to beg JSM to take this role.

He will be tempted - but he has a brain. He's one of the 7 stars.

I'm glad Master Lee is returning. 😊 And I will continue to repeat in just about every comment I make about Season 2 - my darling Cho-Dang had to grow up very fast in Ep. 20 and I am crossing fingers that they will finally get to show their kick-ass vengeance in Season 2.

I think you and I agree for the most part. Not only does JSM have more years under her belt, but she walked into a highly charged situation and absolutely slayed the role(s). There are few actresses (or actors) who could do that - Korea, Hollywood, wherever. I'm not a K-drama expert, but my impression is that certain actors/actresses are accomplished but the personalities they portray are very similar from one drama to another. And then there are actresses like JSM who have played a wide variety of roles across very different genres. I'm sure GYJ will do just fine, but I don't really care that much - I have never liked Naksu and I don't care what happens to her or who portrays her.

I'm sad that JSM isn't returning.

The show was in absolute chaos and the director begged her to help. She began filming AoS while she was still filming Wolf Hunting. She never sat down for a script reading with the other actors - she just walked in and performed her ass off, playing three different personalities.

But there's no point in expecting GJY to somehow "replace" JSM - their situations, and what was expected of each actress, are completely different. The character of Naksu/Cho Yeong will be completely different from Mu-deok/Naksu/Jin Bu-yeon. Since Naksu isn't a favorite character of mine, I don't have any expectations. I am looking forward to Kick Ass Cho Yeon.

We already had Jin Bu-yeon's "amnesia" to live with. Besides, maybe Cho Yeong will remember her early days with Seo Yul before Jin Mu turned her into an assassin. 🤣🤣🤣

"Naksu's" birth name is Cho Yeong.

Did Mu-deok ever figure it out?

Does this mean you don't want Season 2? Because without Jin Mu, there is no Season 2. We can spend our time plotting out the any horrible ways he can die in the meantime.

I've commented about this previously but I'm not shy about re-posting. "Naksu" was a creation of Jin Mu. He brainwashed a young Cho Yeong or changed her memories (perhaps with the help of Shaman Choi). Everything we viewed from Ep. 1 to Ep. 19 was "Naksu" in survival mode because that is the only thing she ever learned. I never liked the character although JSM's portrayal of three different characters was amazing. She is not a real person.

The Hong sisters already provided their clue in a recent interview - they chose the name Cho Yeong as some sort of "shadow" counterpoint to Jang Uk (brightness). Their fates are parallel (or words to that affect).

Once the Hong sisters said that, I figured "Naksu" wouldn't survive although I never figured she would go out so spectacularly. She's gone and probably all of her memories of Daeho Fortress. GYJ will play Cho Yeong, a role that won't require multiple accents and personalities.

I hope "badass" Naksu doesn't reappear - she's a pretty ugly character. Master Lee knew this. I hope we get to see plenty of badass Cho Yeon like we did in Ep. 20. 😍

She did far more action than GYJ ever did. I'm sure portions were done by stunt double - just like GYJ.

It was Bu-yeon's power that saved "Naksu" from her suicide attempt - but Naksu thought it was from the lake. The irony is that if she had simply accepted the loss of her power, she would have been fine in Bu-yeon's' body, according to Master Lee. But then. . . . . there wouldn't have been a 20 episode AoS of training Jang Uk, etc. etc. I am glad that I didn't invest my time in the romance, and I think we'll get answers about Bu-yeon in Part 2.

For those that might want to watch the stand-alone preview for Season 2. I hardly recognized Dang-gu and Cho-yeon.
