I HATE this idea. Absolutely hate it. If anything, the Ice stone was sealed in the mirror.

Hon they are one of the three major couples in the promos! Naksu is a murdering assassin, but she has evolved. Cho-yeon can do it as well with the love of a good man. 😊

We know that, according to Joo Wol, Mu-deok "speaks eloquently" and reportedly sings well. 😊 My wishful thinking is that she's the inquisitive little girl in the boat with Teacher Lee. And Jang Uk is next to her. My wishful thinking 😊😊😊

I think Season 1 will be self-contained w/r/t to Jang Uk and Mu-deok - a happy ending w/perhaps a shadowy hint that life is not perfect when you just became the King or Gwangu of Cheonbugwon or whatever their story leads them. Maybe Season 2 will focus on Seo Yul's love life and those crazy kids Dang-gu and Cho-jeon. 😎😊

LOL, but yes - last two episodes.

The weekend of August 20-21 is now officially totally and completely blocked off on my calendar. 😎

I think the first 20 episodes will answer many questions and end on a positive note - but probably one big cliffhanger (like someone steals something from Jinyowon or Jang Kang returns or something totally out of the blue). Director Park Joon-wha said: "Our narrative has a lot of changes and variations, so I thought I wanted to put more people’s story in it. I’m still writing the script for Part 2, but it’s in progress. A story that can be contained."

When the little girl (Jin Bu-yeon in MY theory) said she wanted to see the Ice Stone, Teacher Lee did not tell her it had been destroyed. But in Ep. 8 preview, Park Jin asks Teacher Lee to confirm that the Ice Stone was destroyed - I assume we will get our answer tomorrow.

I am on Team Bu-yeol as being destined to be with Jang Uk, but the reincarnation part is just getting too complicated. AoS is about Jang Uk and Mu-deok and how their fates became twisted by the "alchemy of souls".

They said it was mages (plural) that summoned the rain - but clearly they featured a blind woman as central. Wonder if it was JSM that played that role?

JU figured out what was happening and I think he stopped HIS soul from shifting, but the question is whether Gil Ju's soul made it into JU's body. If Gil Ju didn't make it, then perhaps at that point JU reveals himself to Mu-deok and tells her to run. In the trailer for Ep 7 & 8, there was a brief scene where one of the brown-suited guards was being abduced - perhaps Jin Mu is going to try and "bring the dead back (Gil Ju) to life by summoning back his soul" and shifting it into another Royal Palace flunky body.

We learned a great deal today - the Soul Ejector is a "powder", not a device. That was a shocker. I need to update my "science of soul shifting" discussion topic. I would welcome input from anyone. i😊

Until told otherwise, I am absolutely locked into the idea that Mu-Deok is Jin Bu-yeol. Which means that it was Bu-yeol's power that opened Jinyowon and also Bu-yeols power that provided the surge that broke the mirror.

I've been thinking that there are several reasons why Mother Jin doesn't recognize her.

1. She's never been up close to her - she's only seen her from a distance.
2. Today, Mom was up close when JU carried her out of the vault/cave, but her head was turned away from Mom - Mom didn't have a clear line of sight. that must be intentional by the writers.
3. If Jin Bu-yeol was blind (and that appears to be the case), then as a young girl her eyes were probably covered, like in today's episode. BUT Mom never saw the blind-folded Mu-deok - only the four young men and Kim Do-joo saw her with the blindfold.

The big reveal to me today was that Mu-deok/Jin Bu-yeol ("the blind girl is back") WAS blind. The artifacts in the vault recognized Jin Bu-yeol's soul.

And Mu-deok's "surge of power" was from Bu-yeol, not Naksu. iMHO, of course.

But I don't understand the Ice Stone/dark magic part at all. Need to go back and rewatch that again.

My impression is that someone (and not Jin Mu) is manufacturing soul ejectors from the Ice Stone.

Well, we learned some new history today, but the overall story didn't move forward much. I want to know when the "intelligent" people of Daeho are going to figure out Naksu is occupying the body of a Jin daughter.

Count me in as well.

There are 4 steps or stages to becoming a powerful mage:

Step 1 - Jipsu - The ability to gather the energy of water.
Step 2 - Ryusu - The ability to gain energy from the flow of water. [also, in ep. 5 "the stage of emitting energy from the body"]
Step 3 - Chisu - The ability to control the energy in the atmosphere.
Step 4 - Hwansu - The godlike power of changing water to fire and vice versa.

Tansu: swordsmanship that involves flicking energy with your sword; must achieve Chisu first (??)

We are simpatico. I also believe we have not seen the real mudeok, although there might be whispers of her presence. I hope Mudeok becomes as strong and capable as the female sword-carrying Jin guards.
