Naksu thinks it was HER energy that broke the mirror. Neither Jang U k nor Naksu had the power to break the mirror. IMHO, It was "blind girl Mudeok" who did it - because of her connection to Jang Uk, of course. ๐๐๐

Okay - you are correct; in one brief second it shows the mirror w/remaining shards of glass. But it was not even cracked when Yul, CP and JU were there. Writers going over time to divert Mother Jin's attention from what really happened and poor Cho-yeon getting all the blame - for the mirror, for opening up the vault.
What about our dear Joo Wol , Madam of Chwiseonru. I was thinking... Could she be a suspect? Some one from Choi…
Yesterday, I spent some time researching the Korean name "Choi" - its origins, it's connection to other names (including, possibly Chinese) and . . . .there is very little variation. It is apparently very common - just like Kim, Park, etc. But I couldn't see any connection to any of the other characters and I was looking on sites that show character names that are different from what Netflix shows. (Example: Wook v. Uk). If there are Chois sprinkled amongst Daeho, they don't appear to be any of the current characters. I've tried to locate the name of the Seo family home city -where the Queen is presumably from - but no luck thus far.
Alchemists! Lets go back in track?Lets talk about our current season? ๐
I've been collecting tidbits that are of interest to me. Here's one: during a partial re-watch of Ep. 7, I noticed that there is an exact replica of the Mirror of Longing - but it was outside on the "porch" in the scene with Cho-yeon, her mom, Park Jin and Crown Prince. That mirror isn't just sitting there as a decor item!
Someone like Heo Yoon Ok? Idk maybe these two should end up together.
I think our man Yul is going to be hopping over to the medical facility where he will meet up with his Heo Yoon Ok, a distant cousin (my words) I'm not sure what their family relationship is - but I think it's distant enough that they could pair up. ๐
If true, I might as well stop right now because the only reason I started this drama is because of JSM.
Thanks Cau. I have had quite a bit of free time on my hands because I was caring for my daughter (major post-op). That's coming to an end and my ability ("time") to theorize/speculate is also ending It is a beautiful show, w/great actors. I'll wait for a formal press release - this article is ambiguous so crossing my fingers.
Alchemy of souls is Ice Stone's magic and there is a reason they've showed it change its properties: from ice->…
I would like to think that as the writer's provide information to us, it may not be all-inclusive, but it at least stays consistent with the canon provided in past episodes. I don't mind the occasional slight mis-wording (did JBY die or is she simply "lost), but the big stuff - the rules of soul-shifting, the mage levels, etc - if the dots don't connect in the end, viewers like me will down-vote it because STORY matters. As for the theory that it Ice Stone can reverse the petrifying process - it's not one of the 3 "abilities" previously mentioned so I would be disappointed if they added a new one at this point.
On the other hand, the Ice Stone appears to provide many more powers, including the power to make magical/enchanted artifacts that can either serve good or evil. We will probably learn more as Master Lee is used to provide history lessons.
Why do you think Jin Father can identify Mudeokยดs body when no one, even Jin mother doesnt?
I think you and I are thinking the same. My thought is that if Mom and Dad know that their daughter is blind, they would look more closely at a woman that was wearing a blind-fold. The writers were pretty careful as to who saw her w/the blindfold - and who did not.
Thank you to everyone who read my article!!! Now that I have nothing else to do (yeah, right!), I imagine the…
I want a happy conclusion to some major relationships and conflicts, but don't mind a few things left open to a happy ending in Part 2. I like the ending in your imagination. ๐

Took me awhile to locate something I posted the other day - glad I copied/pasted and saved. If Mom sees her with a blind-fold (not likely now) or Dad/Mom sees her up close, I think they will recognize her. ๐
I've been thinking that there are several reasons why Mother Jin doesn't recognize her. 1. She's never been up close to her - she's only seen her from a distance. 2. Today, Mom was up close when JU carried her out of the vault/cave, but her head was turned away from Mom - Mom didn't have a clear line of sight. that must be intentional by the writers. 3. If Jin Bu-yeol was blind (and that appears to be the case), then as a young girl her eyes were probably covered, like in today's episode. BUT Mom never saw the blind-folded Mu-deok - only the four young men and Kim Do-joo saw her with the blindfold.
I think gwanju is leader of all mages and danju is leader for soul shifters
Thanks for correction. I usually have time to re-watch episodes and take lots of notes, but my few weeks of "free time" (I've been caring for a family member post-surgery) are ending soon. ๐
I finally updated the AoS Character Descriptions/Relationship;Venues in the Recent Discussion area. While reviewing the info, I realized that everyone has appeared EXCEPT two of the most important w/r/t the identify of Mu-Deok. I think they show up in Ep9 or 10.
The following finally showed up in Ep. 8 - the three mage students from noble families and Heo Yoon-ok and her "outspoken" servant Soon-yi.
Two are dead: the old King and Gil-ju
And two remaining to show up - Jin Woo-tak,(father of Jin Cho-yeon and Jin Bu-yeon) and So-yi, the wandering pick-pocket. Both can identify Mu-deok/Jin Bu-yeon.
Is this predicting something.....https://twitter.com/pengabdiapaaja/status/1531156667186188288
This video clip appeared before AoS started. A poster here named Somina J pointed it out at the very beginning as the first clue about Mu-Deok true identity (sister of Cho-yeon.
The main question that actually needs to be answered is:Why did Jang Kang, someone believed to be a good mage…
He left for a year. Then he began to practice a spell that Do Hwa was concerned about. But he stopped after she got pregnant. So where was Jang Kang during that one year and who was teaching him about the alchemy of souls.
