Pre-release (Two minutes clip) for Ep. 9. Apparently Mage initiation parties are similar to fraternity initiations. But what I want to know is this - Is Daeho so backward that women can't become mages? Being an assassin sorcerer (sorceress?) is the only option for Daeho women? Pffftttt.
When I updated the Character Descriptions this week, i noted that Dad and the pick-pocket were the only two that…
I thought Councilor Seo was with Heo yeom when Heo noticed Mu-deok's ear - and he was the one who told Mu-deok that Heo had given JU an extra 10 years of energy? That's why I thought he had appeared.
As for not including Bu-yeon on the list yet - she's not a stand-alone character as far as I'm concerned. When she's finally confirmed, I'll revise Mu-deok's description. I'm looking forward to it. π
We don't know the properties of the ice stone yet, but I don't think healing is one of them. I think the ice stone…
You are right - we don't know all of the properties. But Gil-ju thought the "ice stone" would stop him from petrifying. If Mu-deok was THE ice stone, then it should have made a difference. But then, I never thought she was THE ice stone.
The Dad of Cho Yeon will arrive tomorrow ohmy π
When I updated the Character Descriptions this week, i noted that Dad and the pick-pocket were the only two that had not yet arrived on the scene and I predicted it would be this weekend. If he appears early in Ep. 9, then good guess on what the cliffhanger will be. πππ
New viewers to AoS are constantly asking some of the same questions over and over, so I wrote up a reference guide for: (1) mage levels and (2) the Soul Ejector and "ice stone" . If I have time, I will add artifacts of Jinyowon (but if anyone else wants to do it, please be my guest).
Big thank you to poster lidi_17 who provided translations from Episode 5 that were variations on the mage levels.
While writing it up, I kept capitalizing the term "Ice Stone" as if it was one specific item. But in the show, it is never capitalized - it is always "ice stone".
Question: If Mu-Deok is the "ice stone", why didn't it heal Gil-ju? In fact, why wasn't she able to repel the poison from Gil-ju? Answer: She is not "the ice stone".
I think the logic of the show tends to be reasonably well considered, but some things are overlooked. In particular,…
If you step back, there are many times that characters do ask the questions and the answer appears flimsy to the audience but it makes sense in Daeho world. It was easier to blame Cho-yeon for opening the Jinyowon vault and breaking the mirror than to even consider that Mudeok might have mage energy.
Questions are asked even by our heroine such as "Why is it this tiny body keeps craving foot".
The one unasked question that is difficult to understand is that kinder/gentler Naksu still doesn't think about or care about Original Mudeok's soul. But, without a doubt, it's required in order to gain max impact for the ultimate reveal whenever that may be.
Maybe this was previously posted - it came out before the show started and shows 5 of the 6 "young" Daeho elite actors (Dang-gu missing) at a coffee truck. Eng subs provided and when Arin was asked to provide three hashtags that introduce her character, she says "#Danggu, #jangwook and ##Buyeoni. πππ
I tried to translate these Korean descriptions for Jipsu and Chisu from ep 5Jipsu: Collecting energy through magic…
lidi_17 - thank you so much. π₯°π₯°π₯°It looks like Jipsu and Chisu descrirptions are fairly similar to the originals, but Ryusa was different enough that they translated for us? At any rate, I can finish my "reference" guide now and will try to post before Ep. 9 broadcast.
