Mudeok is using naksu as well, because of naksu she can see,I guess. Mudeok is the most mysterious character.
JBY is the "great soul" that Master Lee recognized in JBY's ("Mu-deok") body and he said once "She will protect him". That's her job. Her destiny is intertwined with Jang Uk - but we don't know what it is. I do think she could kick Naksu's soul out of her body whenever she wished, but she hasn't and because of that, Jang Uk has reached mage levels in record time. My fear is that JBY - an apparently "foolishly kind" woman with "almost divine powers" is not going to survive.
Are Jang Uk and Mu Deok the reincarnation of the original leader of Songrim and the original leader of Jinyowon?
The word I tend use is "heirs" - there is no indication that reincarnation is something that exists in Daeho. Jin Bu-yeon ("Mu-deok") is clearly an heir to the founder of Jinyowan. We don't know Jang Uk's family history but we do know his father was a "genius mage" and he was able to unseal the ice stone.
OK ONE QUESTION POPS UP:what does master Lee want?I mean he knows everything. Does he know Jang uk's identity…
There is a specific term for characters like Master Lee but I cannot recall it. Broadly speaking, they are characters that do not particularly have their own specific story arc and their purpose is to provide pivot points - good or bad. That's his purpose, I believe.
I believe he clearly sees that (a) Jang Uk is somehow connected to Master Seo Gyeong, the founder of Songrim and (b) the "great soul" that resides w/in Mu-deok's body is related to the original Jin lady ["she will protect him"].
I'm not sure he knows or suspects that Mu-deok is a Jin but I do think he knows that there are 2 souls in her body.
It was the classic "misunderstanding" trope that I usually hate but they did it with so much comedic flair that I loved it. Their acting talent really shines through in every scene.
Yup, ππ but tbh I'm not at all excited to see Jang Kang coming back! Why? Well do we really need him? He's…
They explained it in one of the shows - it's a hereditary position. If I recall correctly, even if Jang Kang were to die, Jang Uk would inherit - which I believe is the reason Jin Mu manipulated the duel - he was sure Jang Uk would be killed. My memory is fuzzy on this.
There must be something magical about the town of Sarin.
When Naksu disappeared into the ice water, she re-appeared in Sarin.
When Jin Bu-yeon apparently disappeared into the water (I thought she transported into the atmosphere, but everyone else - including Jin Mu - apparently, believes she went into the water) . . . . she also ended up in Sarin.

I think that as long as Jang Kang is believed to be alive, Jang Uk cannot become the Gwanju of Cheonbugwan??? So, sooner or later he needs to return if Jang Uk is to be Gwanju.
Why do I feel that sht is about to get real when Jang Kang finally arrived back home. Imagine the father and son…
I hope he returns. The actor said that his primary role was to be in the 1st 10 minutes of the early episodes to provide history/background. But Park Jin is clearly hoping that he will return in order to get rid of Jin Mu, so might not be until the grand finale episodes. π₯
I keep seeing clips from Youtube of this drama. I haven't really watched it coz i'm patiently waiting for the…
You have the basic premise correct - but there is much more to the identity and history of these characters (and others) that slowly appears and therefor the assumptions made early on are turned on their heads. If you only watch for the straight romance, then waiting to the end might be your best choice.
We are finally seeing much more of Sang-ho - Park Jin's "honest and faithful" assistant. We don't know his history - but he is in every episode even though he never demonstrates mage power/swordplay. Maybe he and Yoon-ok will become friendly. We also don't know his surname - I hope it isn't "Choi"! !!

and Jang UK killed Gill joo"
They also don't know that Jin Bu-yeon is alive.
