The very first week, I was so confused that I wrote the AoS Character Descriptions/Locations - It's posted in the Discussion Topic section and I try to update it weekly. 😊😊
Okay - we each watched the same two scenes. And it was Eunuch Kim - the Queen's eunuch. In a prior episode, when Songrim was investigating Cheonbugwan, it was mentioned that a lot of Cheonbugwan mages or officials had suddenly disappeared - so I thought they were the potential army.
Jang Kang started researching alchemy of souls and found and unsealed the Ice Stone a year prior king's request.…
Which came first? Did Jang Kang have possession of the ice stone initially (as Jin Mu stated) and Mama Jin knew it and approached him for help? OR, did Mama Jin have possession and gave access to Jang Kang in order to save her baby? And once he had possession - AND saved Jin Bu-yeon - he began to experimenting with "transferring souls into dead bodies". Regardless, Jin Bu-yeon's birth was "blessed by the skies" - a good sign.
Also, did Naksu give up on getting here energy back? She doesnt have any ground breaking scene anymore.. apart…
I'm just surprised the writers didn't reinforce why SHE is so determined to keep him going. [But my theory is that Jin Bu-yeon is exerting influence on "Naksu" 😊]
In the past, I believe we only saw Jin Mu keeping the Queen's Eunoch Kim alive by feeding him souls. It wasn't clear that the Soul Ejector was required. Today we actually saw him use the soul-shifting process. Maybe I missed some scenes - I tend to FF through the Jim Mu scenes in the secret room because I'm extra squeamish. I posted a theory weeks ago that he and the Queen were creating an army - but didn't think about it being and army of old mages.

When was the last time she talked about regaining her powers? I think she just wants to live - and not petrify. And even that doesn't seem to be driving her at this point.
we're in ep 11 and Uk is still being pushed to train i can see why we're getting a part 2, we're going nowhere…
In past episodes, they gave us a reason for Jang Uk pushing himself to become a mage (saving Mu-deok). I didn't hear Mudeok use that "carrot" today but maybe I missed something?

I don't think it's their childhood that connects them. I think it is their constellation plates - what did the skies show on the days they were born? That's their connection. I have believed this from the moment they talked about constellation plates. Now we know that Jin Bu-yeon was born on a "blessed day from the skies". They are destined to defeat those that use the ice stone corruptly - but Jang Uk needs to meet his full potential of the ".King's Star energy"

Agree with everything you said and you should probably tag it spoiler. I would add: Jin Bu-yeon was born on a "blessed day from the skies" - which means the ice stone can be used for "good" not just evil. I want to know what her constellation plate shows but perhaps we got the answer today - it was a BLESSED day.

My take on Jin Bu-yeon from today's show - It's becoming clearer that she truly has the soul of Jin Seol-ran.
