Episode 1, Scene 1 – the “sniper” scene. (since it is the very first scene that everyone has presumably watched at some point in the last 7 weeks, I’m not putting a spoiler tag on it)

Many have speculated (including me) that the event was foreshadowing something in the future since the last image was a rifle targeted on Noh Gojin – and there was no follow-up scene or resolution. After re-watch, I noticed something new - many of the fans were carrying Valentine candy boxes - presumably as gifts for NGJ.

So, assuming that the event was in mid-February (and not in the future) will we ever find out who was on the rooftop and what happened to them? Was it a joke? Was it security? Were they arrested just in the nick of time? Or did someone stop "the person" before they could pull the trigger and set in motion a three month countdown that gets us to where we are today mid- to late-May (Crazy Love time).

This is one event – of many - that the writers better address because it was THE scene that introduced – in a very graphic way - the “someone wants to kill NGJ” narrative.

That's what I love about the show as well. In most Rom-Coms, the conflict and tension are manufactured simply to impact the couple's relationship, In Crazy Love, the mystery is story unto itself - impacting many people and events. And we still don't have answers!

My current belief is that Se-gi received the anonymous letter/voice recording that day and he was in Gangneung (vacation home) to confront NGJ before flying to the States the next morning. When he arrived, he saw that NGJ was badly injured and he did nothing to help him. After returning from the States and discovering NGJ was alive and had amnesia, his plot to destroy NGJ began. Well. . . . that's my CURRENT belief.

Today, I was re-watching parts of the early shows. Watching Kim Jae Wook play a man who has amnesia - but doesn't really have amnesia as we found at several episodes later - was masterful.

After watching Ep 14, i think it is perhaps connected with the break-up of the "celebrity illegal gambling ring" but as to why it involves NGJ is a question, unless as you speculate, Papa Baek is pulling all of the strings to destroy NGJ. That's certainly the direction my brain has been heading today.

I love the fact that there is little sympathy for what Ms. Ma did to destroy NGJ and GoTop. I have sympathy (a little) - but if she had succeeded, GoTop would have failed, 100's (?) of employees may have lost their jobs and livelihood. Actions have consequences. Tearful females don't move me. In the end, GoJin might forgive (a virtue), but Ms. Ma caused a great deal of pain for a great many people and she is no saint.

This is a show of South Korea. South Korean actors, producers, writers. I wonder how many folks who post here understand not just the concept of capitalism - but the wealth AND prosperity that capitalism has produced in South Korea. Contrast with North Korea. Nothing more to add.

Well, to answer your question, the term "hack-neyed" plot device comes to mind. From Ep. 2 forward, BSY has been a one-note plot device and I acknowledge that she was an important plot device in the Noh Go-jin/Shin-ah story arc but indeed - she is a very tiresome character. Her value is a 4 on a scale of 10 - required, but not sympathetic. However, it was pleasure watching Ep 14 and confirming that she is indeed Daddy Baek's Little Girl.

Guidance would be appreciated.

Just re-watched a portion of Ep. 14 (I don't believe anyone has posted this yet) re: stalker room - woman w/white sleeves (obviously Na Soo-Yeon) ---- and the wrist scars were there. I was "re-winding" and "re-watching" (for reason unrelated to the scars) before I saw it. It's final confirmation of what many of us have speculated/theorized. We should be proud, Fellow kisskher's. I've lurked in other venues today and folks are still theorizing that stalker is Se-hee (pffftt - many figured that was a non-starter in Ep 13) or one of the former secretaries (double pffftttt).

So, most mysteries solved except.. . . . . why is my mini-crush Secretary Jo the FOURTH villain? Writers better explain this with NO unresolved questions or I swear I will revise my Ten Star rating DOWN.

It's so nice to have a few people here on MDL that recognize Secretary Jo's many - but, alas, diminishing - virtues. We are now down to the way he looks in a leather jacket. I will treasure what I can while I grieve for what might have been.

His name - apparently - is Cho Jung-ho. That's what NGJ calls him in Ep. 15 preview. And as Elif Kim said - he's one and the same as Secretary Jo (sob, my beloved Secretary Jo).

I joined MDL for the same reason several weeks ago when I was watching Crazy Love out-of-sequence episodes wherever I could find them on the internet - before they were removed. Finally found a good location (around Ep. 5 or 6) thanks to this board. And also loved reading comments/theories.

Perhaps the real question at this point (your theory is solid) is who - if anyone - has been manipulating her? Who has been providing info (appts/schedule/etc) so that she could stalk him? How did she know where to deliver the red rose/knife basket? I thought it was Se-gi but looking more like Secretary Jo is the big villain.
