Ok thanks! Did they mention it when emperor was young in the flashbacks? I kind of remember emperor was like a concubine’s son so he was picked on? I think I have to rewatch that part.

Okay so I finally finished this, and I know the Emperor dies although they don’t show his death. I thought his brother, who we all thought could have been the 3rd enemy, would be emperor (but was secretly a good guy?), but who was the young emperor at the end? I must have missed that part. I know the real emperor didn’t have children, so just confused where they got him from. I know the actor is also from Youthful Glory, which I can finally get caught up on now that I’m done with this drama.

Finally a happy ending. Not a perfect drama by any means, but we finally get to see the main couple get married, an ode to their fake wedding in the first episode. I was a little sad that Director Lu died and Lu Chang and his father only made up at the end. Another thing that kind of irked me was SML. I thought he was over Mingshu but why is he writing her letters he’s not sending and making cryptic messages to himself. Is he thinking of going after her again in the future? idk that scene was kind of weird. The final battle was a let down and the editing was terrible. Like it cut scenes and then towards the ending, the audio didn’t match the scene, like there was a delay. Well at least it’s over. it wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t particularly good either. I stayed because I wanted to see the ending. Will I rewatch it? Probably not. Will I recommend it? Maybe. But I won’t rave about it. If you have time and patience then I say go for it. Just don’t expect too much. It’s not a big budget drama and although some of the actors are famous, there are no outstanding actors that truly makes this drama stand out. I would give it a 7.5 out of 10.

He doesn’t get amnesia. he wakes up in episode 35 and Mingshu gets all her memories back

Qingzhao’s mom never learns. Butting into her son’s life. I knew when she went to visit the queen that she was asking for a marriage decree. Only 5 episodes left, I hope Mingshu and Lu Chang reunite soon.

Liu Yu Kan is the brother of ML. I don’t see the villain in the acting credits.
