I don't believe in love at first sight but what a lovely article. lol

The moon ... the sun: Ooooh yes...the strength of their affection beats death and time! What is stronger than that? They are so cute in their childhood years.
Protect the boss: yes, but what I like is how funny the whole story is. lol
Secret garden: Hell yeah...who's as persistent as Kim Joo Won? lol Ultra romantic dialogue/production.
Love O2O: Seven times YES. How refreshing to have leads that remain unwavering, trusting, and both guy&girl confident, talented and strong minded!!!!
If LAFS gets you this, I can't blame anyone to like the idea ah ah ah!

I sometimes wonder if I watched the same drama as everyone else. Am I the only one sitting here like what a grand…
Maybe because they pre-produce K-dramas. I suspect stories are never fully written, completed, reviewed, yet they're already airing. Beginnings always seem great & promising, but you still end up with the same tropes and endings are usually rushed.
But I remember an analyst explaining K-drama recipe for succes is the ability to recycle for ever the same type of stories...like the damsel in distress/rich-arrogant savior thing.
I Remember Goodbye Mr Black that was supposed to be an epic revenge story but turned out to be another cliché romance. Target audience now is teen/young adult females so cheesy romance sells best.
No you're not the only one who noticed this. lol Just that since you're picky it maybe feels stronger.

Title Love in the Moonlight Spoiler
Aside from having a handsome male lead, there's nothing more
lol..I think I dropped it because I felt the story was not really a story but just a collection of cheesy scenes for fan service, same as DOTS.
Then I picked it up again to complete it, it got a little better but I was expecting more when I started. So I do feel you.

People in korea paying for tvN network just to watch this drama and most of us pay websites so less or watch it…
LOL Well...you're surely funny in a way. To answer your question it's because I can still watch a drama even if some aspects make me feel uncomfortable. There have been several dramas with this type of pairing (very young or underage-very mature) either for characters or actors. Some I just couldn't like so I dropped, others because of how the story evolved or because of the quality of the acting or some other aspect/character I still liked. Cubic is one example. Even now I still feel their couple is a bit weird just like in Goblin but I really liked the story and characters. That's just me. I do make a fuss on smth though...but rarely...it's when people try to make others feel bad for commenting on a drama. The same drama happened with another series...I think it was Mirror or the witch (...but not sure) where people claiming freedom of speech were insulting and belittling those who were uncomfortable with the pairing because of the age gap between the actors. I think doing this is childish and wrong and when it gets too far, yes I express my very very strong annoyance. Especially if the criticism is not rational but rather emotional. Not pointing fingers specifically at you though...

@Alessa Sorry my bad I didn't understand properly what you meant.
@Gongyoooppa It's me KMR who wrote a comment about the sadist not Kemteri. Do you have a problem with fiction and reality? lol Don't worry, I didn't say if one day I call a character a sadist you'll surely come and answer " This actor is not like this in real life so you make no sense, you're too sensitive." I was merely giving an illustration ( a fictional image) to show why you didn't make any sense. Like when you wrote: "Ok if wearing a school uniform makes her a student then i am spongebob everytime i go to sleep because i have a spongebob pajamas." LOL...I'm still laughing at that sentence....smdh.
I'm sure you understood what I or Alessa meant, that's probably why you don't insist on that weird point and complain instead.
I think you and people sharing your view also know very well those who mention pedophilia or simply find the thing weird, mostly think of the underage school girl...or since you like medical reference "pubescent child"...romancing a grown adult; and not of the real meaning of the word with its sexual implication. I suspect since you like the romance and hate that some are uncomfortable with it you pretend to be a rigorous linguist, you wouldn't be the only one using that trick.
Anyways...the whole ranting about taste, ratings, comments, opinion, real life and all, just to imply people should shut up or disappear from a drama experience if they don't feel about it like you do...I just find it ridiculous. Grow up.
I like the drama, I like the characters, I don't like the romance that much especially not the beginning. It has an almost PEDO feel for me. It's obvious that's the reason writers introduced skinship in their romance only after she turned 20 and left school & insisted on her birthday. It still doesn't change the age gap though. But at least she's matured a bit and is of legal age now. Still this drama trend is not ok in my opinion. And I will surely not refrain from saying what I dislike because I'm as free to write it as you feel free to criticize. :)
I'm almost tempted to rate it down just to annoy people like you ah ah ah! No I'm kidding...I won't step that low....

Not just the ratings...they think the comments too...smh

Actually there is no real problem with MDL. The ratings reflects voters' view not watcher's view as all don't vote. So you can't just rely on the figure, you also need to look at the whole stats, and not take it too rigorously. There have been cases of people who opened multiple accounts to vote up smth. There's a lot of childishness or people acting stupid, also because some are very young and immature.
Like thinking if you like a drama and some don't like it then they have a problem, should shut up and not write anything...or even worse: should not watch it. That's stupid and doesn't make sense. One should have enough control on their emotions to not get enraged if someone writes your favorite drama is shit or smth.
@Alessa Be careful. When someone discusses a character and a story it's the character and the story. You can't bring up the actors and real life as if it invalidates opinions about a story and the dynamics of the characters. It simply doesn't make sense. That's like saying I really hate that character, he's sadistic and you replying " This actor is not like this in real life...so you make not sense...you are too sensitive." o.O

Of course you won't bother reading. When were you ever really interested in another view than you own? If it's not like you think it's invalid. If you don't like the explanation then it's not one, it's a tangent. Typical of people like you. Enjoy criticizing people's views from you own fantasies and feeling smart about it. Then get sensitive when they point out the fail in your reasoning. And try to end all when you feel cornered.

@KMR minhsuga
You clearly wrote YOU never used the word pedo noona , and I stated YOU DENY the use of this word on MDL…do you get it now? That’s what you did of my comment: “But accusing ShinTak and the writers of "borderline pedophilia" is problematic.” And I said NO not taking it.
Weren’t you keen on semantics? What happens now? You impugn motives on me means you attribute motives/thoughts to me (supposedly mine not yours!!!!) from your own preconceptions that have nothing to do with what I really wrote or what I meant. I happens to all of us, but then you try to validate and justify it…the audacity!
I wrote my opinion: story borderline pedo. I explained it’s my opinion. I explained I used the word not in its true rigorous and medical sense but in a random informal expression meaning it has a feel close to pedophilia to me... as if you truly couldn't get it...-_-. I even gave you an example of a similar expression using the word pedo. Up to now I don’t see your link with the writers and their sexual attraction, in my comment. Plus I said I wasn’t discussing psychiatric conditions. I did not clarify anything? Oh please…give me a break! There’s a limit to bad faith.
And FYI I insist here because to me it’s not a waste of time and very important. I’m just human and this is one of the few things I will never accept, that's a NO GO. I can’t stand people like you. You don’t like what a person writes or what they think… instead of commenting on what you think and why you disagree you come on your high horse pointing fingers and acting smart with failing reasoning. Had you not claimed I’m accusing writers or characters you would have just been s.o. who thinks my thoughts are too extreme but you’re a sophist. Always diverting with a new excuse. You rant about freedom to comment on public space but when you get answers then it’s all about defensiveness and wasting time and bla bla bla. Yes, don’t waste your time if you don’t want to and feel you do. We can ignore each other politely or impolitely from now on…at this point I don’t care what you think.

Beginning can be a bit overwhelming so maybe they didn't do the best job at introducing everyone but if you are…
I was told Jin Xiu Wei Yang is good. Don't have the patience to read all of it yet. But judging from comments and the bits I read, she's extremely smart and deals with opposition in a scary but effective way. Just that her revenge is very cruel and bloody as opposed to Su Ge's wise righting of wrongs.

And since you're at it. Request of MDL to ban informal and common language with their approximations, images and misuses. Everyone should check in the specialized associated dictionary for each word they write. The subject of a comment and discussion doesn't matter only your understanding does.
Sorry for the audacity not to reduce implications to your one and only dimension. -_-

@minhsuga
Just applying your reasoning. Didn't you call me defensive for clarifying things on my views? Then the same applies to you.
Whether you deny the use of pedo noona here on MDL that's your problem, it is a term we use here. Was just giving another example of common semantic not to be rigorously applied as literal. I clearly stated what I blame you for and what I won't take of you. Don't know why you always talk about your motives..for someone insisting on rigorous use of language please check what impugning motives on s.o means. I insist because it's not ok. You can't discredit and blame a person's views based on assumptions you make yourself about their motives.
That's why I said I won't take that you twist my words to blame me for accusing people of pedophilia when I just wrote about how a fiction makes me feel. That's the fallacious reasoning I'm talking about and your views you push on me.
Whether you think a pedo feel for this story between an underage and a grown man should not be mention because you associate it to pedophilia in its medical definition is your own business. I clearly clarified what I wrote. But don't come here accusing people from you own perspective hen getting worked up for being called out on it while stating they're the ones defensive. You even have the nerve to mention editing my comment as if I wrote smth then the opposite. WTH!
You're so welcome to disagree with me, no prob with it, but you blame me with failing reasoning, then I'm not taking it. Period.

Yes I edited to add your name...NOW WHAT?

Janey their romance started before the first date and before skinship. lol Or maybe you think they started liking each other only after she finished school? I don't think so but hey if you saw it so, good for you.
@minhsuga. I don't mind opposing views but I do not accept fallacies . Like the legitimate psychiatric term issue you raise. Hiding behind requirement for rigorous scientific semantics when I was not discussing psychiatric conditions. Here we use expressions that can't always be taking strictly/literally like "pedo noona" which doesn't mean a pedophile noona. Didn't you notice yourself that "borderline pedo" is not a scientific notion? To me the story has a feel of something close to pedophilia. No I do not accuse ShinTak and the writers of being pedophiles, this is your own projection. So as you feel free to share it I feel free to call you out on it. Do not get defensive.

No the romantic aspect started before she was 20. Bye Janey.
@Minhsuga Please do not project your thoughts on me. I'm responsible for what I write, not what you understand. Now you explain to me how stating the show has a borderling pedo feel to me equals to "accusing ShinTak and the writers of "borderline pedophilia" ...o.O.
I'm totally fine if you do not agree with me, but I will NOT have you impugning motives on me. Thx.
