From the comments I thought it was great but it was not. I didn't like it. I would give it props for being different, one grows easily tired of cliché plots, that's the strong point. Other than this and Japanda (lol), anything else was kinda dull for me.
The show is awesome because it uncovers and exposes in a thought provoking way, the lies and hypocrisy to self and others that we often bare, especially when it comes to hurtful matters.
Yuudai is the best: "rebirth after destruction"... the crueler the better.
Wow... what a smart wordplay for the title, it's brilliant. When I read bubblegum I think pink, sweet and fluffy but judging from comments it turns out to be a dark, bitter and serious drama...almost depressing. Glad I didn't get the chance to be totally deceived.
Oooooh I didn't like it. I liked the first episodes but then when he became smarter I didn't like the turn of events anymore. The message is still a beautiful one though. I think it's a nice drama but not one I really enjoyed.
So...in comparison to manga how much of a creeper Takane is in here? Him being a creep was the sole reason I dropped…
I'm sorry in the manga she's not spineless, her behavior is no roses and innocent smiles either.
He's less creepy in the drama, he doesn't go as far as in the manga for ex.: he's not the one who made her fail the exam in the drama, also she really handles him coldly when she has to. I find he's less cray cray and she's less whorish in the drama. I couldn't finish the manga as I couldn't stand either of them but I actually like the drama.
On another note, I'm happy they diluted the characters in this drama adaptation to make them more likable. In the manga Junko behaves like a whor*?#$ which is depicted as being a modern liberated woman, Takane is unbearably possessive and its depicted as romantic O.o. She sleeps with him and with other men at the same time...most of the characters are messed up and not likable. I wasn't expecting to enjoy the drama because I don't like the manga.
Wow I think the only teacher-student relationship I can stand (except her calling him sensei weirds me out ) is this one and the one in Gokusen with Shin...which didn't appear in the drama but still ah ah ah
I think the main problem with this drama, as many have said, is the ending. The series seemed to be building up…
I actually like that there was no real closure for him. Sometimes you don't get over trauma you just learn to live with it. I felt it was like that for him, he'll always remain a little messed up because of the past, since that's what makes him him.
Very interesting concept (masks). I didn't like the show as I didn't like the male lead, and didn't totally understand the feelings displayed. I felt sorry for everybody the whole time. I like dramas to make me happy, this one made me very frustrated in the last episode.
I think I had and overdose of shoujo manga maybe that's why I couldn't enjoy this movie. There's nothing really annoying about it but at the same time I found it irritating, like when you're annoyed by bore and predictable plot.....but some years ago I really did enjoy Kimi ni Todoke which is a bit similar...*scratches head...maybe some things are to be enjoyed just for some time....
It was a nice drama with some weird moments lol. Maybe more for mature audience since not so fluffy and cheesy. The characters were frustrating at times, but the pace of the story is nice, not to fast not to slow. :)
I'm not gonna watch this because of Jin Se Yeon. I hate her and her "acting". Sorry Jung Il Woo :-(…
A vacuum cleaner with a long wig would be a better choice for any role than Jin Se Yeon.
LOL well that's a strong and accurate image I guess. She's really bad at acting, not every hallyu star is suited for acting, that's the thing.

This show is full of bananas figuratively and literally LOL

ronay Jr seems obsessive to the point of losing reason
