Finished and enjoyed it. :) It's very good if you're looking for pure entertainment. It's one of those dramas not designed to be deep or dramatic. It's light and superficial and should be enjoyed as such, sometimes you just want to be entertained and not think. You'll get a good laugh and finger curling mushy moments. lol
My favorite character remains the section chief.
I hated Reply 1997 so much. I just didn't understand why everyone was SO excited about it. I watched it twice…
I thought exactly the same for Secret. I felt they showed hatred, passion, revenge, obsession and toxic relationships...but never love. So I didn't like it.
Yep pretty much sums up the main ingredients of a standard K-drama.
I have an overdose of love triangles..-_- I really can't take them anymore. Also you forgot the "Noble idiocy"
Ok I watched tons of dramas but can someone explain why healer was so great? It is full of dramaland cliches.…
To the standards of Hallyu dramas it's way over-average. It's not only focused on romance, their parents' story is not cliché. 1980s and repression is a very VERY sensitive theme hardly tackled, kudos to them. The cinematography, the production quality, the great OST and very beautifully written romantic scenes like the ones in winter, or the one in the theater. All this is not common, the feel might be the usual dramaland kinda romance but I think it would be wrong to state the content and overall production of this drama is nothing special IMO. As for the attractive people...well you know... SK and this sad obsession with looks...
Agree Healer and KMHM were the best K-dramas of 2015... IMO. But best actor Ji Chang Wook I disagree. Not that he's bad, but it was about the acting not just looks. Ji Sung played 7 different people including a girl. I can't imagine how exhausted he might have been. Shin Se Gi was so different than Cha Do Hyun... in just one second he would just totally transform from facial muscles movements to walking posture! Wow. I think not many actors can take on such a challenging role and do so brilliantly. So I think Ji Sung was the best.
Agreed with the list, especially Flower Boy RS and Goong. -_- OMG it was a long time ago but I remember how frustrated I was at the end of Goong, wishing I didn't waste so much time! lol
I didn't watch all the titles in the article though.
I'm confused about a small thing, I hope someone can reply, but if Princess Nihuang related to the Emperor and…
Liang is an empire. It includes several feudal kingdoms, each of those have their ruling royal family. Nihuang is the daughter of the King of Yunnan, a feudal kingdom at extreme South of Liang. They border Chu, a rival empire. Holding Yunnan loyal to Liang is extremely important, especially since their military power is so strong, so Nihuang's marriage is a matter of State stability and it's important not to get her people too upset. That's why the emperor pampers her, and why she was betrothed to join Lin Xie's (the then most prestigious and powerful military general of Liang) family and strengthen the hold on military power of Liang.
I was not as impressed by this drama as many viewers on here. The aspects that I enjoyed of it were the settings,…
The strength of this plot is the complexity and brilliance of the revenge, the depth of friendship and loyalty. Absolutely nothing is simple, and it takes a second watch to notice and understand details you might have overlooked first time, only adding to how awesome Su Zhe's mind is. It's definitely different than usual historical drama about politics since it's not just about petty fights for the throne and clichés traps and tricks, but about how scary a genius brain can be. Those who rather romance or lots of dramatization might not enjoy it that much, but for viewers who enjoy strong emotions and intelligent mind, I believe this drama is unprecedented satisfaction and mind blowing.
OMG I loooooooooove this series! lol
Come to think of it, some matters are pretty serious, but everybody is so crazy and caricatured that you can't take any serious thing seriously ah ah ah how awesomely masterminded. :O
**spoiler alert** ..... after watching "in time with u" and "9 ends"..decided to see this…
It's not a sugarcoated happy ending, it's a forced dramatized bitter ending. :)
A perfectly fit ending to me, is one that feels natural. This one felt overly dramatized... you know like the whole " I sacrifice my love" thing lol
Well...IMO.
My favorite character remains the section chief.
The secretary has me rolling!
