Must admit I feel like throwing up every time they share a scene. He's deceitful, dirty, nauseating, his whole being is pathetic and loathsome. How many times did he show that to him what really matters is himself and his ambitions; not Na Yeon, not Se Jin, not even his own freaking daughter!!!!!
Slice of life in very turbulent times filmed like a dramatized documentary on the second sino-japanese war. I didn't like it that much because I was expecting something else: a story more focused on characters than events, an amusing yet poignant love story. I didn't get those so something felt missing. Nevertheless I like the originality of the theme, the realism in the depiction of war and the very emotional ending episodes.

Very good but such an unsatisfying ending! After 60h you wanna see characters' closure for more than 30 seconds. :( I was hopping to see a happy MiJu/MinWoo family and cute Kangmo/JungYeon couple in their house and I won't even mention Sungmo oppa so much I'm pissed! lol
But the story is good.
I'm nearing the middle now. Watching on recommendation from ppl who liked Nirvana in Fire. Plot is interesting with thrilling moments starting now but I feel it will take long before real payback begins. S.o. said it's draggy in the middle. Hope it's not.
