I really love this drama. No matter how many times I watch it. I like Dong Yi's character, very smart and brave, they also show very well she was Buddhist based on her behaviour. All characters are interesting, I only regret a bit the king was made so weak and easily manipulated, felt like the women of palace were the ones really ruling, also I didn't like how the plot dignified Jang Hui Bin's downfall . Other than that nice story. :))))

One thing though...I always wonder how many times they try to kill DY in this drama lol but always forget to count. I bet starting from her childhood it might be something around 20 times! Ah ah ah!

First drama I see where the guy's story with the second female lead is stronger and longer. LOL he literally loves Gi Ha for like 20ep out of 24, they even have a child together! Was Sujini really the female lead? @_@
Seo Gi Ha was pitiful. I couldn't help but feel sorry for her and disgusted by Dam Duk all along.

I will always hate this drama. I hate when abuse and cruelty are romanticized, it's twisted. And it's scary how many people like it and overlook the cruelty because of the idealized obsession. Reminds me of slap-kiss lakorns or Sealed with a kiss and Le Jun Kai. Only good point is the very high quality of the acting but other than that I find main and second male lead awful and unredeemable for what they did to the female. And the female lead pitiful and at the same time pathetic for being so sacrificial and too much in denial.
Really as popular as it is, I really dislike the story, and found the "love" between main couple very unhealthy...Stockholm syndrome type of love imo.

OMONA I LOVE her in Healer and Faith. So awesome and funny!

lol Honestly even if he's the sweet guy here, he still has that sociopath face to me. Dunno why but his face just suits evil better, maybe because after seeing him in Dr Frost, I'm just creeped out by his eyes and his smile! @_@ Type casting is surely such a dangerous thing.

Aigooooooooooo this was like reading a Yaoi manga! OMO OMO OMO I was screaming inside and out...this drama got me so confused...lol...Was I a fujoshi all along? I mean it was so cheesy and all ayoooooooo I couldn't take so much sweetness. lol

This show was great! Full of clichés and very stupid unrealistic situations yet at the same time unpredictable and cute . Characters really didn't behave like usual: they used their BRAINS, even more they could COMMUNICATE! No draggy misunderstanding or crazy annoying character. Male lead was sweet and kind for a change, no insufferable spoilt jerk. lol Really a cute and light drama to enjoy cheesy romance.

My only complain is that they take a 35-40 smth-looking actress to play a 25-year-old and it was odd. @_@

I agree with you that the forgiving thing was weird (lol...but the whole story was anyways). But I disagree about the down toning of murder. They're the triad, if murder was not trivial to them they wouldn't be the mafia. They chop people alive for whatever reason, they kill people like flies innocent or guilty...you know that's what the mafia is about lol, so I'm not sure what morals you're referring to...I mean when it comes to triad people...they sure have their own moral code which is mandatorily different than "common people" morals.
The drama is so mushy my fingers curled, a lot of really unrealistic and ridiculous situations, but it's what makes you like it. Pure superficial and ridiculous entertainment to just have you smile and scream. :)

Why just the truth? Yoo Kyung, Tae Joon, Se Jin, did things that should get them in jail. And I won't even start with the people who lost their lives. The girl lost her mom, her twin sister and her daughter, in addition to constant harassment and bullying, kidnapping, embezzlement, attempted murder, etc. It's so disappointing to know they'll simply get away with everything they did... per daily drama implicit rule -_-

One of the worst plot I've seen. Dragged the missing brother thing to the point of no return, antagonist simply spent the whole drama doing what she wants and in the end...well...nothing...absolutely no bother for her. Even the romance couldn't make up for the bad plot. lol It's basically a story about wicked people being only wicked and "good" people being perfect good. -_-

I can't stand this actress (Han Ji Min). She always has that lost look on her face no matter what emotion she acts. It's so annoying. I remember how it pissed me off in Yi San, I was wondering back then if it was some kind of signature face for her acting or the consequence of plastic surgery. I notice some Korean actors have this facial expression stiffness problem after too much surgery.
Hyun Bin on another note is impressive as usual. It's such a delight to watch a good actor perform his art. He truly looks like a totally different person from one character to the other. Even the micro-expressions change! That's how you know acting is serious work and talent. Not easy to achieve this.

OMONA I found the drama so boring. :( Hated everything about it with the type of characters I hate the most. So cliché and the solemn acting I can't stand!!!! Arghhh... Regret watching it.

I'm so disappointed. It's 16 ep left and we're yet to see a revenge plan unfold. :(

Travel/communication, crime solving, thriller genre isn't typical of American series either. Well from what I remember...

Damn Ji Chang Wook's character in this is so hateful. Reminds me of those stereotypical annoying second females: whiney, selfish, insecure, stupid, petty and cruel. Aish..
Ki Nyang...simply awesome from beginning to end. Empress dowager, strong, you just can't beat her down but too greedy. Females in this are impressive, smart, badass fighters and fearless. I wanted NYANG WITH TAL TAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Need to say it again: the emperor was a true pain in the a$*@s.

Yes it does, things get disclosed little by little so the plot thickens slowly but surely and you really get caught up in the desire for revenge so much what happened is horrifying the more you learn about it.

The ending is very sweet. :)))
