Thank you so much for this article <3 I would love to see 'mydramalist' statistics on this. This side would be able to tell us when it all started, how many people, who once watched 90% of KDramas, now watch 90% CDramas or which KDramas were even able to make those people (like us) come back to Kdramas. I wonder how Koreans feel about this, maybe it’s just us Westerners… We are used to our western entertainment and are looking too Asia for things we don’t have here. But Asia is looking towards the western world for guidance. So maybe Koreans actually like this trend and that is what keeps it alive (?)
I agree with everything listed above and only one thing is missing: The screaming. Since I have moved on to Chinese and Thai dramas, I can NOT take the screaming on KDramas anymore. The cute, slow and calmly spoken Thai language might have ruined the rough and loud KDramas for me. I am struggling now so hard to continue watching when everyone is screaming x.x It’s not even that rare… I wonder how it never bothered me before.
I love this drama. The story is so funny and the male lead is so charismatic. If you watch the BTS they look like…
I was busy for hours to get all the BTS, I hope I managed. Sometimes I am wary that the language barrier is blocking me from more great content like that haha
Kinda like the chemistry between the leads but the editing was too bad. Alot of cut scene. I need more eps not…
I also liked the chemisty but the series was almost showing too little, the BTS was full of it! Way better chemistry shown there than in the whole drama XDD
2 days ago, a photo of them together circulated on weibo. They didn't confirm anything but fans congratulated…
I loved that scene so much and especially afterwards how he looks into the camera and has that look on his face like 'I guess that worked' So sweet the two of them! I hope they are dating <3 And even if they are not, they had such a great time together they get to remember <3
It's normal now on YT (and websited that take YT as their source). When you watch it without subs on MangoTV you will have normal sound. I can only guess that they were not allowed to use the songs.
Hmmm the story not bad, but the editing something wrong, alot of cut scene make me confused is that really like…
I have no idea about the cut, but about the music. I checked and on MangoTV the music is the original one. On YT this happens to many dramas. The last one which really annoyed me bc of this was 'Under the Power' because they coulnd't use the OP song which was also the main couples 'love theme song' so whenever they had a 'moment' and it was supposed to be romantic, the tone cut or they tried to remove the music while keeping the voices which does not work too well... UnU Such a trainwreck. I try to find out more about the cut scenes towards the end, tho
I kinda wish there'd been more sweet lovey dovey scenes between them.
There have been! I watched this when it came out (without subs), that version was so different! They had some crazy good kisses, really long and just perfect! Now you can only see them in the Behind the Scenes. Check them out on YT, it's worth it. Their chemestry is sooo good and watching the BTS is so much fun.
It's so worth it checking out the Behind the Scenes of this drama. They are so great! I have the feeling they cut out the kiss scenes (kept them short) bc I remembered them differently when I watched the series without subs right when it came out. The scenes were so much longer and so cute, their kisses their crazy! You can see what I mean watching the BTS. They had such a good time on set and the kisses omg XD I actually dropped this drama when subs were not out yet but because of the BTS vids on YT I went back to watch it all with subs just to realise that this version is so different. The most prominent thing being the cut music. They probably weren't allowed to use them idk why so many dramas keep doing this and as soon as they have to upload them on YT they play different songs on top or just cut out the music without replacement. Idk which one I prefer, it's both bad
I wish there would be a love triangle with a twist, they all fall in love with each other and stay together XDDD…
omg I guess I need to go back n watch it. I dropped it after a few episodes (forgot why). x.x A magical triangle almost happened in (here comes the long title): "The Love Knot: His Excellency’s First Love (2018)" with 3 of the side characters. I loved it so much X. X So upset about how they 'resolved' the matter though. Can't be too progressive, can it? ^^** I wonder how the source material handled it
Hey this is my first time watching an ongoing Cdrama so I was wondering how long it usually takes for english…
When viki picks it up, it usually always gets translated but viki does not get all dramas licensed and I am not sure this will ever end up on the list UnU
Aw thank you so much for the detailed explaination! I have seen the diamond VIP and was considering it, I was just unsure about China/International differences. I really need to consider this and use the Chinese one first to see if I can opt for that one instead of the International one. ^^**
He was damn hot in princess silver, should be forbidden! I hope we get to see much more of him in the future. Especially the long hair suited him so well. What a delight
Do you use it on web or on your phone? I am using the iQiyi App bc it had English subs (sometimes of questionable quality haha) and was thinking of going VIP... but I don't want to keep watching Series on my small phone screen ^^* How do you resolve this? :>
