Good call on quitting SM, glad he is in China filming dramas. He even sang an OST for the current drama he is staring in: Love Better Than Immortality. Really entertaining and light with nice romance, sadly not fully subed so I can not recomment it just yet. But anything he stars in is worth a try <3

I end up replaying so often just for his expressions. I can't wait to also be able to understand what he is saying. It will be difficult to read the subs with an actor like that XD

I think it is to make her sound younger than NiNis voice. Here she is supposed to be this naive girl that has been locked up at home for all her life so I think that lead to this decission.

So true, even thought TMOPB is doing so much right and the acting was just what saved it all but that love triangle really got on my nerves. It consumed way too much of the whole series. I would have been okay with it if it would have been 4, tops 7 eps long x.x (even that would have been too much)

Honest, I am so impressed with his Character and I am overjoyed watching him. Sadly thought, for now I was only able to watch him for I do not understand the language he is speaking x.x (only about 30%).

Same, I am also skipping a lot but I am putting up with it. After all they are 70 episodes at times. I am still happy even though I need to skip. I have not skipped much of TMOPB (only when that stupid B was on the screen and plotting against our cute leads).
I am glad of a little too much content rather than too little but if I end up skipping over half an episode than it is time to skip the whole show and drop it.

Weirdly though, I am watching Chinese and Korean drama and I sometimes feel that 16eps of a Korean drama are more draggy than 40 of an Chinese drama lol
I just like the long journeys these Chinese dramas take, especially the one playing in old dynasties of heros walking through so much sh*t, enough for 5 life times. In the end you start from the beginning and are like "wow damn right THAT happened, too!" or "they were so cute and innoced in these first episodes and then shi*t hit the fan!"

I kind of like these 'boring' parts, especailly fondly I remember when ML in TMOPB was acting as if he was attacked by a bear just to get close to his crush. Too endearing aww But I also HATED all the part after that when our FL was all weak and got bullied back at his home. But somehow it made it only sweeter when she came back to kick ASS with everyone she had an open bill with. I just love badasses! I could watch people go around and kick ass all the time.
This is why I had a problem with 'the legends (招搖)' The both leads were so ultra over powered so the writer handycaped them throughout the whole series (at least till ep 40 or so I still have it on hold bc of that). I would have loved to see the part they skipped in the beginning when the FL was running around town building her own sect and beating everyone up. ^^

How do these Chinese come up with the idea of not airing during weekends? Is that not when everyones got the time to watch stuff or are they busy doing something else XD
With every series I am following, weekends is happening nothing (no complaint). Can someone explain this to a westerner like myself XDD

What ever reason there is, it beats our system. I would rather have my series aired every day of the week exept weekends rather than just have one episode on the weekends (like in America/western world)

In terms of action, much has not happened (till ep 14) but what I enjoyed instead were such little things such as how the Male Lead in the beginning was still quite composed and was able to put up with everything and after being punnished (for what ever reason, blame the language barrier) he lost a lot of strengh and suddenly you see him getting sleepy during meditation, losing some composure now and then, being restless in bed. In the beginning the ML had problems adjusting to his new life, having lost a lot of people he loved. Now he is warming up a little, smiling more often. I am curous for the future of the drama. It is nice to have things like this as to get a feeling for the character and see these little changes, but I personally am also hoping that more action is going to happen ... soon plz

My vocabulary is too lacking to understand the plot just yet, but having seen till ep 18, it seems like they are getting ready for something bigger.
I have seen a lot of drama and also many slow paced ones and it seems to me as if they are keeping it low in the beginning to just have the Mains interact and for us to understand why they are even romanticaly involved (many dramas are lacking in these and are just "and then they fell in love at first sight and are ready to give their life for each other").
What I am hoping for is that we are now over all the character bonding and they are ready to kick some butt!

With Nirvana in Fire I had to use a Character chart with photos, names and relasionships between each of them (especially because many of them have more than just one name). Maybe it would be helpful to you to keep the cast open in another tab. I often pause with dramas and come back here to mydramalist to check out the cast and see who they are even talking about ^^*

If it is the romance you are missing then skipping through 1-16 in 30min. you have missed a lot of subtile romance and the "real" romance starts with episode 17. You have even skipped 2 kisses. I think skipping just for the kisses and such is a waste of time because then you have skipped why they even would like to kiss one another. I have taken my time (but skipped some side couples) and were able to understand some of it so for me it is really worth while. I recommend to you to give it another try in about a month or so.

Maybe you want to give 'Great Men Academy' a try. It is cute and innocent but "sadly" not entirely commited to the characters being gay. It's kind of a cheat but then on the other hand it is way more honest and it's more about love than about gender.
It's difficult to explain but worth checking out if you are into cute things =)

Thank you very much. I enjoy watching BL drama a lot (most often with Chinese dramas it just stays at bromance and I rarely ever see anything with girls UnU but oh well that talk for another time) and I was already wondering if I should pick up HIstory. I have so far only skipped through obsessed so I was quite discouraged ^^*

I would also enjoy watching more wholesome content.
What I think this whole genre is missing, is plot. Most often it is just about the romance and how to win the other person for themselves but is that all real life is about?
I think real conflicts are missing which we see in almost any other TV series (unless that is ofcourse for those pure romance series like '7 First Kisses', etc)
But what I really want to see is people walking hand in hand through life and picking each other up. Nothing like 'oh no but I like guys/girls but I am totally not supposed to' just what ever with that, leave that behind. Just have people experience some adventure and their romantic partner to walk that path with them is now of the same gender (what a shocker!)

This I liked about Star Trek: Discovery. They didn't make any fuss about it. So they are gay but it is the future, get over it! People are loving Aliens now so why can't two humans like each other? Well, with series like Advanced Bravery (or advance bravely??), Guardian or Untamed I am a bit hopeful for the future. Of course it is all kept super tame and no crazy n wild kisses but just the love in the eyes of the main leads and the actions of affection is all I ever needed. Just a while back we were at shitty plots were the gay turned out not to be gay after all! Yay what a pleasent surprise! You are not gay ... I am glad those times are (almost) over!
