I don't know but to me it is unreal to imagine someone dying in front of me in *real life*! She is not someone…
That's right, HXL has probably never told him stuff like that before.
Having met her again in the forest, it really must have been like watching the HXL he knew being possessed. The new Chun Hua also had instand impact on him when it even moved him to not kill a person just because of some words!

Title Love and Destiny Spoiler
her soul is kept in the tripot. tomorrow JC will come to.LX OMG I cant stand one more episode of JX and LX, though…
I am also upset that Jiang Xiu get so much time but then again I am glad. It is hard to decide because I understand why we need so much time with the two together. Having JX simply fall in love with A Mo makes no sense, we just need to power through this (and we did! Almost done, next week, next chapter yay)

I just really hope they make it all worth. Like ... idk, they need something real GRAND in the end that makes Jiang Xiu's screentime worth it. I can't come up with anything just yet and the preview to the next 10eps also don't show him... like at all! So I can only guess that he becomes important again in 50-60?
I am looking forward to it all

agreed. you already know how I adore the characterization of JC. but I gotta say the lord of thunder is growing…
Totally agree with you on the Emperor, I am so glad he is such a good one. We often have problems with Emperors in dramas, but this one is the best XD
I would like to get to know the Lord of Thunder better but my Chinese is limited, so far I couldn't grow closer with him :(

Title Love and Destiny Spoiler
I didn't expect it to be TMOPB but I hoped it would still be quite wonderful. It was on the right track for awhile.…
(disclaimer: I can't understand Chinese so I might have misunderstood some stuff that happens in unsubbed episodes, I am also not watching Trailers, eg "next up")

Unlike many others, I am not hating on JX and I am also okay with the mortal arc having so many episodes. I think it even makes a lot of sense, seeing what the writers have done so far.
The first 20 episodes we were getting little action (with many people complaining about that) just so we get the character/relationship development between the two Main Leads. So we understand why they love each other and why Jiu Chen goes through such lenghts to save Ling Xi. (many dramas just use the "fall in love at first sight"-card and skip this part as to make the plot less draggy)
Now, in the mortal arc, we get a lot of time on Jing Xiu and A Mo. In my opinion JX is quite useful. He is strong and can protect Nini when it comes to it, better than some mortal. I am curious as to how they are going to use him in the future.
However I also dislike the rivalry between the two guys and I wish they could come up with some excuse to sent JX away for a while. I need some quality time between our Leads! I also dislike how our stoic Jiu Chen suddenly becomes to petty in their love rivalry. It seems like he has a lot of insecurities there. Before the Mortal Arc he was able to put up with everything, not being bothered one bit but then this happens O.O Seems like he is only "human", too ^^*****

I did not watch that interview TTnTT
>>Funny how still the same 'body/person' falls for the same guy all over again
True XDD
I guess that the same 'body/person' fell for the same person again, chosing *again* QY over XB says a whole lot about QY and XB. To me, QY is just the better pick! Both, our Chun Hua, old and new had great taste in men X***D

I am up to date (ep 32 but have no idea what they are saying, I hope we are at the same point and I dont spoiler you or anything) and I am curious as to when QY really fell for (current) "Chun Hua". I rewatched the first few (12) episodes again when they were subbed and I did feel that he was quite more distant to her in the beginning. He did all the romantic stuff and advanced on her, but it seemed to me as if he was doing this because he was "used" to doing this stuff so Hua Xiao Lei would do the things he tells her to do (e.g. get the book). I still can't put my finger on the moment when he really fell in love with Chun Hua... actually, the girl he fell in love with is also not "Chun Hua", because that is still the one before our FL took the body (born as Hua Xiao Lei, after the fire she was Chun Hua and then happened our FL with unknown name). She should have her own name but the drama never bothered telling us x.x

My best guess is that QY fell for our FL after he took her to make the cake thingy after they met at the festival. The night when she told him that she will not leave her Gege behind. It seemed like that was the first time that really went under his skin.

I also did not understand why our FL (I will just call her that now because idk her actual name) was so concerned on multiple occasions that Chun Hua or Hua Xiao Lei did crimes before. Like Chun Hua killed Hua Xiao Lei in a fire so she can be with QY (that is my guess I am not sure) and when Gege told her that she was the arson, she was concerned as in "I would do such a thing????" Nope girl, you didn't. I wonder if she sometimes just forgets that she did simply not exist before but instead someone else did these things. Just like when her Gege lied to her that she killed some kids parents and she was all "no way, did I???"
But then when her Gege tells her "I have seen all of your body before" she is all like "THAT is not my business. The person before me was someone else! All new and reset!" XD

I don't understand how CH can forgive FCC so easily after being kidnapped. I get that she's naive but she also…
I don't know but to me it is unreal to imagine someone dying in front of me in *real life*! She is not someone from these times and being immortal and all she might probably not even be able to wrap her head around the concept of death. Being able to save someone even thought they gave me hella lot of trouble, I am sure I would still carry someone to the hospital even if they shot me in the damn foot. I could not imagine making a finite decission such as actual death! That is something you can never undo.

However, I would have been suspicious of her afterwards and even guarded myself from FCC more than CH did. So she really is a little bit stupid. I wonder if she thought that FCC would now leave her alone because she saved her, or maybe she felt safe because her Gege saved her? We might never get to know where her easy spirit comes from. I would like to know more about her old self as to understand her character better.

Due to the slow subs and many people asking me, I will be giving a brief synopsis of each episode from episode…
Thank you so much, this is just too kind of you! You put a lot of work into this.
This might be the best comping mechanism for drama withdrawal I have seen yet.

Same! The only thing missing now is that Qiu Yue stops demanding of her that she calls him 哥哥 (gege) whenever…
Thanks for the answer! Can you please edit your comment and mark it as "spoiler" so other people do not get spoilered reading through the comment section? =)

I think even now he has not blown his cover! (ep 26)
But I am not speaking Chinese so I am not 100% sure, I might have missed something but I think if she had figured it out, then it would have been a deal big enough that even a person never having heared of Chinese before might have understood it XD

you're right about Yang Mi & Ni Ni, but I prefer TMPB support cast better.
I am also hoping for her to grow wiser within the time span of 60 episodes. I guess I would not hate the series if she says this way but it most certainly would improve it by miles! I just am a sucker for character growth (but who isn't?) =)

I get why you feel this way though. In real life we don't often get this kind of cute/innocent and in dramas we get bombaded with it as if there is only ever cute/innocent or mature/adult.

In 'Ashes of Love' our FL was innocent and cute because she was held back in developing what love is, she also grew up with only girls, being locked inside their realm under close watch.
In 'Love and Destiny', NiNi is supposed to be innocent and cute because she was locked up under a bubble by her father. She only ever knew her dad and the other two from back home.
This is also why she is so openly expressing her love for our ML. She never knew that kind of feeling and never had reservations before, now she just acts upon her innocent (first) love.

It just me or does this series contains element of Ash of love & Eternal love & Legend of Fuyao??
And "Journey of a flower": The element where the ML takes it upon himself to take care of the FL even though everyone thinks that she is wrong/evil (she is his calamity and his teacher told him before hand he should just kill that person when it comes to it but when that time came, he couln't)

I think she is actually doing quite a good job in being cute. It's just not what I expected of her at all and thus needed longer to get used to her being cute. I was really looking forward to a grown up FL but maybe that is still to come!

its a bit of a cliche I admit but somehow I think it still kinda work, especially with a character like Jiu Chen.…
Same, I think there are not many characets that are like him. Most attempts on having a virtues, stoic Male Lead were weak in comparison to him.

Watched up to episode 28, and if you're on the fence about starting/continuing this drama then I suggest skimming…
Hm, I wouldn't recommend skipping them really.
They are essential in understanding why our Male Lead is even so devoted towards FL. Seeing how he is going beyond his posibilities for her... If I haven't had the first few episodes of them bonding, then I would keep wondering on "what did this girl do to make him fall so madly in love with him???"
But thanks to those first (to some people boring) episodes, I know very well why he is acting the way he is. We got to know him during all these episodes where he was just meditating and recovering from his illness

I'm sorry but I hate the mortal arc sooo much. It's just so sad and depressing rn since all Ling Xi gets is bullying.…
idk for me her father evens out her half sister. How many dads were out there taking such great care of a child with a disability (back in those times I mean of course)?
Just the scene where he picked her up and carried her home as a baby. The look in his eyes as he was unable to ever take them off of her all the way through the storm back home. Such a highlight of the drama for me
