Hi! There isn't a real love triangle, just some imaginary ones :) Like the viewers know since ep 1 that ML and SFL are siblings, but the FL doesn't know so she thinks they have a love triangle. Secondary couple is Joanne Tseng's character (ML's sister, FL's ex-best friend) and Harry Chang's character (the cause for the female characters falling out in college, also a misunderstanding about a non-existent love triangle). The secondary couple doesn't have a perfectly happy ending but hope is given to them. The main couple has a very happy ending. Also there are some subplots with their parent's relationships and they have happy endings too. Hope this helps and I recommend you give this a try. I wasn't sure if I liked this during the first 1-2 episodes, but after that I was hooked.

Another thing you can do is read the original novel before watching. It's really good and since in the novel they tell what the characters are feeling, it adds to watching the drama as you know more of what's going on behind their wooden faces :) I rewatched after I had read the novel and it opened up some scenes in a new way. Hi! I totally preferred the drama. I have watched it many times, whereas I know I will not take a second glance at this movie. But it seems we have quite a different taste, since I felt that in the drama especially the male lead expressed his feelings very powerfully. It's just that because both characters are reserved and don't want to show their emotions to the other party, so they have to express them a bit differently than in some other dramas. I still could feel ML's pain very strongly. Later in the drama they will be happier and more outgoing, if that's what your looking for. I you are so frustrated you want to drop I recommends you just watch the four episode version, you can find it on Viki it's called "My Sunshine (director's cut)".

What's with the synopsis? "Despite their initial misgivings, Xing Ke Lei and Mi Ka have no choice but to put aside their differences to help those hit hardest by the recent earthquake. Working side-by-side, their feelings towards each other gradually begin to soften as they observe how tirelessly each works to save lives." That really was not the situation when the earthquake happened...

Am I the only one who wished they would continue the storyline in the land shown at the end of the first season? Their background seemed interesting and it felt like those were their true selves.

Does anyone know if Viki is going to pick this up? They have the earlier seasons.

I'm interested in seeing this, but Put Your Head On My Shoulder is the first one in similar recommendations, and I wasn't really into that one. Neither did I like Perfect And Casual. Intense Love and Love Is Sweet (also in recommendations) were okay. Is there someone here who liked this one but did not like PYOMS?

Does Jo Jung Suk/Lee Ik Jun have a romance storyline in this drama?

I'm consider on dropping this, or at least putting it on hold after 9 episodes. I like the FL but ML's struggles concerning his brother are too depressing to watch, and I wish the romance wouldn't be so slow burn.

The genre tag says romance, but the synopsis tells only about family drama. How much romance is in this?

After watching a couple of episodes I would add horror to the genres, of even replace comedy with it. This is creepy af.

Anyone else wished that after their relationship was revealed, the public would have looked back and realized their date on the show, and how she left shocked when she heard about him going to the surgery? It would affected the way people think about them.

A late reply, but yes there is :) They don't get much screen time though.

I can't believe I almost missed out on this gem! First the rating wasn't that good (why only 7,8), but because of the reviews I gave it a try. Then I almost dropped it after the first episode, because I had just put The Refreshman on hold since I couldn't stand Joanne Tseng's acting in that one and was afraid she would be as cringe-worthy in this much. Luckily I still continued and was soon hooked. I was afraid the last episodes would ruin it as some reviews said, but they were fine, maybe because my expectations were low. Of course this wasn't perfect but it was definitely worth watching, I binged it in couple of days without getting bored at all.

Thanks for your tips! The annoying ads came back on dramacool, but I doanloaded an adblocker and was able to finish. I really enjoyed this drama, but it's a total rom-com and your list looked liked you are more into action, so I don't know if it's your type of drama. I however love rom-coms and am going to rate it 9 or 9,5 :)

I don't know if there is any drama as funny as this, but maybe you could give a try to The Eternal Love (NOT the same as Eternal Love/Ten Miles Of Peach Blossom) and The Romance of Hua Rong.
