This started promising, but soon fell to a classic c-drama cliche: the badass ML is suddenly a puppy who never hurt an innocent person. Towards the end the main story was just full of pompous speeches about right and wrong and love, but what kept me going was surprisingly ML's sister's story. I did not care about her at all in the beginning but later was so invested, just anxiously waiting what will happen with her. This one is very hard to rate, some very good aspects/parts and some not to my liking.
I hope this will not turn into another "General and I" where the leads don't meet for like 20 eps...
Oh, I did not know that. I just googled and it seems like they still recommend 40 eps but can make exceptions based on quality of the content. I hope most will still stay shorter. I don't remember ever seeing a 40 eps drama that I felt was too short. Even if some parts are rushed there are other parts that are dragged out and it has been more a balance problem.
I actually like the ML in this drama although the one in the novel is better. Meanwhile, the FL? I find Angelababy…
I watched this before I read the novel and liked it. Then I read the novel and realized, how much better the drama could have been. I will never re-watch but I keep re-reading.
I postponed watching this because the synopsis made me think FL would be kidnapped for most of the drama and the ML and FL would barely be in a scene together. When I realized my mistake I watched the drama and really enjoyed it.
FL was annoying but otherwise this was a fun watch, if you go in expecting a basic rom-com. ML is a green forest and a heart-warming guy, some side characters are also very refreshing.
He might not want it, but dad wants him to have it. And he's the "legal" child from his marriage so the…
Thanks! Yeah the sister is not very smart... I went in because I felt like watching something fun and light, no matter how many tropes. Let's see if I will enjoy it until the end :)
I just finished episode 4 and Iโm so confused as to why the sister is so hateful to the ML and why sheโs in…
He might not want it, but dad wants him to have it. And he's the "legal" child from his marriage so the sister probably always feels jealous. I'm just on ep 5 too so I don't know if there's something else going on, but this is what I'm thinking now.
Of course, I'm just asking for other people's opinions and recommendations to help me decide. But I actually already started this drama and I'm liking it very much so far. There's just something different about Gu Man dramas, I don't know what it is.
Seeing as you liked Love is sweet, it might be worth giving the first 7 episodes or so a try?Fair warning, since…
Yes, I think Boss & Me is really good! It's more humorous than other Gu Man's adaptations, but not crazy comedy - still also serious and realistic. It has the rich boss and poor employee clichee storyline, but it's handled very differently than in all other dramas, in a much more realistic way. Towards the end there is some more boring storyline. Not bad but so that when I rewatch I usually don't watch all the way through.
2. Interesting, funny
3. Off the charts
4. Yes but they are not very good
Did you watch this all the way to the end? Was it okay? Many comments saying it gets worse and worseโฆ
