The first arc when FL is young is quite boring. In the original novel it was covered in a flashback. I have rewatched…
I'd also like to add that this drama is the reason it's hard for me to drop dramas. Because if I saw this later in my life I might have dropped it and would have seriously missed out, because the latter part makes it one of my favorite dramas and I have also read the novel multiple times. But rewatching it's better also because I can skip all the boring sideplots etc.

Here are some milestones: EP8 ML is born, it's somewhat more interesting than the first part but still a little meh EP11 FL and ML meet, still a little meh to my taste EP19 they change locations (trying not to spoil) and I would say this is when it starts to get interesting, or at least the angst is high. Starting from this ep it's the original novels prologue, all other stuff before that was just flashbacks in the novel and also the prologue is short originally so this part includes flashback and added stuff too. EP29 FL gets back and this is when the original novel starts and this is also the part where I usually start my rewatch. But of course this has a lot of stuff that has deeper meaning if you know all the stuff from before.
So as you see, with this drama a lot of patience might be needed - of course depending on your taste. If you keep getting bored maybe try to fast forward until EP19 to get the general idea of what's going on and then normal watching from that point on.
I'm not sure why, but I just couldn't get into this drama. I'm dropping it half way through episode 4.
The first arc when FL is young is quite boring. In the original novel it was covered in a flashback. I have rewatched this drama multiple times but maybe once from the beginning. Other times I start either from the mortal arc of even after that, when FL is back home. From that part onwards this dramas is amazing. Epic even. At least for me. In the original novel there was first a very short chapter about the mortal arc and then the actual novel started from that point when FL is back home and other stuff was flashbacks. The same thing with Eternal Love of a Dream - in drama they showed all the boring flashback stuff first and the drama got good once they got to the point where the novel started.
Sorry can you tell me what you mean by express? Does it mean all the rest of the eps would come on May 29 or is…
I'm in Europe, and I didn't see SVIP in my subscription options so I googled it and it said so in some conversation. But I have to look into it if I have watched all the eps by Thursday. I started yesterday hoping Viki would keep up with my pace but then I watched the first 10 eps on the same day...
I dropped this earlier after 4 eps but after seeing it's now on Viki I gave it another chance. Soon I was starting to feel the pull, invested and interested in seeing the next episode. Then around ep 20 it all went downhill, the FL became insufferable doormat, always running and crying and needing saviors. I only got through those eps because I could complain with others on Viki comments... Around ep 28 it got better and I watched it to the end. To summarize I'd say the romance was poor, leads unlikable and family stuff annoying. Most interesting was the gameplay and ML's career stuff, that's what kept me watching. I liked also some side characters, especially the retired players. So I recommend this for people who like game dramas, but not for those looking for a good romance.
I hope this show goes on netflix so others are able to watch
If you like Asian dramas I recommend you subscribe to Viki. It has the best subtitles, the timecoded comment section (that can be turned off and on whenever you like) and so many dramas to choose from. This one is also there. I always watch on Viki if possible, if not then some of the others like Netflix, WeTV or iQiyi.
I watched this a long time back and after reading the synopsis now on MDL, it feels a bit off. From what I remember,…
How would you describe the drama? I dropped it, because I felt like I didn't know what I was watching, but I might pick it up again if it's interesting.
