I am currently reading the novel, currently reading ch 25 and ahhhh my heart! The feels it is giving, the vibe and the melancholic atmosphere, the deep yearning between Jiang Mu & Jin Zhao.
The plots is also in a way similar to Olivia Lynde`s "Summer`s Desire". Jiang Mu has the sad broken heart Summer has, while Jin Zhao`s dark tortured soul feels a lot similar to Seth: Both Male heroes have the same clothing style and also fought for money.
Finished PART1: Main leads have terrific chemistry. Chen Si is known for portraying very dark and intensily terrifying Anti-heroes and he does it soooo good i can`t keep my eyes off him. He oozes sex appeal & danger, such a sexy combination. In a way it felt like reading one of those old vintage Harlequin novels by Charlotte Lamb.
I waited for this drama to be added on MDL, finally!' Its a awesome & sexy drama with ML portraying a Mob Boss who employes spy FL to do missions for huge sums of money. He is very confident and darkly seductive, a dark edge and sexiness to his character. The way he kissess the FL,whewwwww
It is seen toxic initially at the early start since we have a very dark character in ML in this case Thyme. As a heir to a elite family empire, He embodies the term "of what will happen if the people in power gives you the permission to be evil" .
He is what the environment around him made him to be, the symbolic Black Rose, a cursed prince. In this case, saved by and changed because of the different perseptive and way of life Female Lead shows him. He has a worthy redemption arc.

This lakhorn has such a natural pace despite the heavy angst, which most lakhorns had in the 90s. So well directed and acted!! This dark gloomy domestic feel to it, their dialuge that i found so insightful...also how dark Nopparuj was and his raging hatred mixed with his growing passion and fasciantion for Yotien...and how everybody around him started to realize it especially his OWN FIANCE!!Ahhh this is a classic gem to me!
