I know what you mean, it’s more of a Open ending actually, where the viewer gets to choose. The writers of c-dramas are known for creating endings like these.
I however know what kind of ending the writer TRULY intended and it was the tragic ending cuz it was formulated so well into the ending arc. The other so called ” happy ending ” is for the other viewers who need to be soothed.
But I did not believe in that ending cuz it just did not fit right, I knew what the Writer Really intended to do here.

Currently on EP7 and i feel SUCH IRRITATION everytime Mu is so picky with her eating!!! All that delicious food and she is still so fussy about it! Like come on!!! Jin Zhao has so much patience that i am awed by his love for her.
There is a drama where he is married (to a woman he DOES NOT LOVE) and is seduced by the femme fatale vixen like heroine who comes into their home as a maid. I have waiting for the title to be uploaded here on MDL.
