Ah i loved that one! The chemistry was so good! I have no idea if they made other versions of it. Wow, lucky you who get to read the original novels these dramas are adapted from!
I first saw her in Love between Fairy and Devil, a drama i put on-hold for two years which made me NOT recognise her when i watched her as female lead in Revenge of Begonia! Her chemistry with ZiXian is chef`s kiss! I also watched her in Fatal Allure opposite DaiGao! She is so stunning looking!
I can`t believe i did not recognise Hong Xiao who i had earlier watched in Love Between the Fairy and Devil who played Orchid`s bestfriend!!! I mean wow does she look different in here as the seductive Begonia!!!

I am currently reading the whole Novel, i am now on Chapter 52. There are LOTS and lots of scenes and dynamics and situations drama makers have left off. So even if you read the novel after having seen the drama it gives a whole different experience in a more richer way.
Ji BoZai is way darker in the novel, in a way which makes more sense than the way the drama depicted him, although you could sense the undercore darkness of Ji BoZai as well thorugh Ming Hao`s performance, but it was not shaped into action
Ji BoZai survived the Hellish underground prison since he was a child. So it makes sense for him to be more cynical, vicious, manipulative with very narcissistic qualities. I mean, his thoughts could be down right nasty at times when you read his point of view in the novel.
