Thank you so much for this wonderful review! I just finished watching this lakhorn yesterday and i also really enjoyed watching it! Pokhai indeed was such a tragic villain, i felt so sorry for him and couldn`t help but think that he would have gladly chosen to be with Siri and their baby if she had wanted. But she chose to kill him instead. So sad.
I have finished watching Wimarn Sai and here are some of my thoughts about it:
This new version is not slap-kiss since they have toned down the violence and taken away the rape scene that existed in the original version from 2005. In this new version Panin instead seduced Risa and then coldly dumps her by letter the next morning- his revenge over what she "supposedly" did to his brother.
Panin in this new version is a lot more in control of his emotions which is a total contrast to how hot-tempered Panin was in 2005 version. I also like how Panin in the new version refused to succumb to the pressure of getting married to Siri. He investigates what she and Pokhai has done to the company and i found him so smart for doing that.
I also love Panin`s reaction after seeing Risa after all these years. His feelings is understandable. He is so much hurt and angry that she left Pete when he was just a baby. But he does not let this anger cloud his judgement and tries to understand Risa. In the old version Panin did a lot of shitty stuff just to provoce Risa for his own satisfaction.
Panin in this new version realizes quickly the hardships Risa has been going through in all the 6 years she have been away from her son. He also is a lot more open to loving her and he shows her in small ways and words that he haven`t forgotten their past together. I love how Risa asks him bluntly if he is jealous when Pokhai was giving her attention to which Panin was unable to answer,LOL.
In the 2005 version Panin was playing this game in trying to make her jealous by giving Siri attention but there is none of that in this new version. Instead Panin says to Risa: "You have had the right to be jealous of me ever since the first day we met each other". Awwww.
Okay, first of all, thoroughly enjoy that especially after finding the last 3 eps quite boring.I saw comment about…
Rosalyn asked for the old Thyme to come back already from the 7:th ep. She needs him to be like her, in control, power hungry and ruthless when needed. According to her this is what a "perfect" CEO is like.
I hope you enjoy it! I absolutely adore this lakorn. Lakorns from the 90s are really on a different level.
I have always wanted to watch Dao Pra Sook (1994) and Meun Khon La Fak Fa (1995) !!! Do you have any idea where i can watch the latter one? I can`t find it in youtube.
Omg the mother succeeded to fool EVEN ME! I thought this was her "redemption arc" in a way but oh lord is she evil!!! I knew the title to this episode would have something about Chess in it. Rosalyn literally disguises herself as a dying "old woman" to fool Gorya to bring the old curse back on Thyme again. In a fairy tale persepctive Thyme had always been the cursed Prince before his love for Gorya changed him and took away his Black Rose flower, the symbol of his curse.
The break up scene looked sooooo darn cruel in a way i have not seen in the former versions. Thyme`s question "Did you ever see me as a ordinary person" is just such a iconic line from his character that have been there in all the versions. Beyond his fame and family name, did she ever even see him as a human being? Did she ever see him as a man? Ahhhh Thyme.
Gorya did just what his mother asked her to do. She tore him apart.

I agree! I watched 1990 version of Roy Marn and i fell ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE! Sawan Biang version from 1997 is also so good! I have many more to watch, so excited
There have been many people on Twitter defending that trope because it shows the idea of recognizing your soulmate.…
So the mother didn`t send her? Oh lol then she was more unnecessary than i EVEN remember her. One thing i did enjoy about that plot however is how the Ren character DESPISES her on sight in every version. She just couldn`t fool him for a second.
