A Totally Unresistible Love-Story...
in all its wonder, youth and glory. Two individuals that may have met on a strange coincidence at the train, or a certain heroine manipulating that moment, or even the strange ties and work of the Cupid, alas fate. But indeed they were fated to fall in love, in this case our badboy male hero portrayed by the very beautiful actor Wang Xuan( huge fan of his work), falls first...and the poor sod falls hard.He gave his heart to her in a silver platter. I love the feel this drama gave, it felt like a street town-ish environment with the new, cold and quite shy heroine and the so called trouble maker hero who saves her from trouble all the time. Their chemistry is simply terrific, and there were moments with them looking at each other i could feel MY OWN TIME LITERALLY STOP! They are that good in portraying Romance on-screen nowadays, breathless excitement is what this story gave me. Sending it so many stars in my heart..!

Lost in The Midnight really delivers with a very sexy and devoted ML!
I am having a huge binge of these MINI-DRAMAS lately! Just aghhhh totally feeds my romantic soul! "Lost in the Midnight" is my first drama with the mainleads and i got so deliciously surprised by their chemistry and acting talent, especially the actor portraying Male Lead, our very dark and tortured mob gangster Luo Xiao who is despised and feared by everyone. I mean, all his brothers and grandfather hates him. Everyone have tormented and abused him, no wonder he held no love for his family at all. The actor just stole the overall show for me, his expressions and the rage and pain in his eyes was incrediby portrayed. What he did for the female lead to be by his side, ahhhh i love a smitten possessive hero!!Was this review helpful to you?
"I think dying by your hands would be better than losing you and dying of heartache" - Ah Da Mo
I smiled, laughed, swooned, screamed and cried while watching "New Tales of Gisaeng". Wow, what a journey this has been. What a absolutely marvelous story of fate, family, sisterhood, pain, trauma and the teachings of life this brought to every character. But most of all, the central and epic love-story of our main-leads, they are star-crossed lovers Ah Da Mo & Dan Sa Ran portrayed by Soo-Hyang and Sung-Hoon. These two on-screen created fireworks, just gosh what a beautiful pair they are! It was long time coming for me to watch "New Tales of Gisaeng" since it has been recommended to me for some time now but i never came around to actually watching past 20 min of first ep in the past. I think the time was not right for me, i gave it another shot last week and decided that i firmly would finish 3 episodes and when i did i was stuck. I knew this was a drama i had to and would finish watching. It is a wonderful story that depicts the magic of fate and how it entangles characters in their lives. This drama has characters that makes you root for them and i grew so fond of everyone, even the elders. Then we have the romance that feeded my romantic heart, ah what a magical and electrfying chemistry our main-leads have!! The dialuge, the glances and the touches between them, just stop it!!!KYAAAA!!!Sa Ran is unlike many of the heroines i have seen in other dramas. She is cold in the sense that you would outwardly think she is arrogant, but she uses it as a mechanism to not open herself up to anyone. She does not speak of whats in her heart and mind, and the awful loneliness that consumes her. She has this firm dignity and great love for dancing. She is beautiful and has such a beauty in her heart. No wonder our leading hero Ah Da Mo fell madly in love with her! Ah, i love the way they hated to love each other. Hardcore hate-love story this one, and i loved every damn bit of it!!
Ah Da Mo has such a compelling character developement throughout the drama. He is very arrogant, bitter and cynical at the start. He lives his life with the following flow, knowing his place and situation in following his fathers footsteps as an heir to their family company and knows what is expected of him. He is not a rebel, but he is angry at his father for neglecting him emotionally throughout his child-hood, and that he even regards the dog Andre more of a son than Da Mo is, which is a humiliation to Da Mo`s ego. He slowly changes when he gets to know the dancer his grandmother invites to his house, the beautiful Sa Ran who is incredibly attracted to at first sight. But due to a awful misunderstanding caused by Da Mo`s cynical views she insults and hurt his pride, which makes him in return pursue her for his selfish reasons in making her fall for him so hard she would throw herself at him. (sigh, these arrogant male heroes always dig their own graves) but he senses how incredibly he is softening towards her and gets frightened out of his wits when he suspects that he is growing feelings for her. And that my friends was his gravest mistake. He run away from his own heart and bitterly regretted the awful consequences because of it. Thank god he comes to his senses and does everything there on to make her forgive him...i love how he declared that he lost to her. That he would rather she kill him with her own hands, than him dying of heartache living apart from her.
I also need to mention how fond i became of second female lead Ra Ra who also was given such a wonderful developement in character from a spoiled and entitled princess into a strong, loving and caring young woman who tackled the harsh surprises life gave her. The actress protraying her Hye-rin gave such depth to her performance that you could not help but root for her happiness as well. I love that she found true love in her new friend and protecter, Kyle that teached english at the Gisaeng House. They are absolutely wonderful together, love the deep sense of trust and friendship and admiration both have for each other.

This part was colorful and fun and i sensed how strong the chemistry was between Mint and Mark since they also were strong koo-jins during their early lakhorns together until he became koojin with Kimberly in his later lakhorns. But Mint`s acting in this lakhorns was quite painful to watch since she really struggled to act natural in the character of Cha-aim.I also find this part memorable because of Din`s allergy to gay people,i mean he literally fainted everytime a guy flirted with him,LOL!

I literally grew up watching Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou!!
This story and the characters had a huge impact on me ever since first watching it as a kid. I am surprised no one has written a review for this sequel movie yet, so i am gonna put it here first since i LOVE this story and the characters to bits. The leader of Bakada Tatsuya, his right wing Tetsuya, the Cattleya leader Fumie and her right wing Saya and the rest of the Bakada gang. All of them stole pieces of my heart. Their pride and honor, the way they were willing to die to protect it. Its that oldschool fierce spirit that doesn`t really exists in our modern society anymore.I miss these type of boys, boys who were fearless and had the courage to fight for the people they love and their honor. They are my childhood heroes. The Bakada boys and the Cattleya girls fighting as allies shoulders to shoulders and fighting any injustice coming their way to hurt their school. Despite their differences they learned a lot from each other and i love re-watching the drama series and movie sequel every damn year because Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou is a classic to me and dear to my heart! Was this review helpful to you?
Beautiful interpretation of a tragic Love-Story...
"Jang Ok Jung" is a historical romance drama filled with political intrigues, adventure, action and romance. Just packed with entertainment and a amazing cast that just delivered in all their performances. This is my first time watching Yoo Ah In on-screen and what a handsome and talented actor, his smile made me all gooey inside! And his voice, ahhhh his beautiful deep voice! His portrayal of the cunning but noble King Suk Jong was incredible, the character arc was amazingly written! I had seen Kim Taw Hee in "Stairway to Heaven" as SFL character, so i loved watching her as the female lead, heroine/Anti-heroine Jang Ok Jung and her journey to the palace and the King`s heart. I could never hate this woman, i got frustrated yes, but mind you this were different times and survival in a harsh environment like this were crucial. Prince Dong Pyung was such a great sidekick and character as well, loved and felt for him badly! The OST are awesome, could listen to these songs all day. Finished this drama with my mother and sister. All of us cried in the end.

Old-school Slap-Kiss Romance
”Fire of Desire” is a lakhorn that took my breath away when I first watched it some years ago. I decided to re-watch it when I saw that Dragon’s Lair had finished subbing it and I am so grateful for that!! We have a very good looking Caucasian hero first time ever in a Thai Lakhorn (that I had seen, well except for Bandit in ” Roy Marn”) portraying the American rich heir Kenneth who is the best friend of Uma’s older brother. Kenneth speaks Thai as second language and loves Thai food and the culture immensely and he secretly loved his best friends sister all along-Uma in this case has strong prejudice towards foreign people and lashes out at Ken in every turn. When circumstances forces Uma to marry the one man she desperately despises, her hatred will wither away under Ken’s watchful gaze, speaking of his longing and love- the fire of his desire!!!Was this review helpful to you?
A nicely done cinderella trope that made me lose sleep for three nights!
As the translation to the title of this drama says, "The Necessary Wife" is the central part of this old-school romantic drama starring the very beautiful on-screen couple Petvisetsiri Swiss as the rich but down to earth/honorable Male Hero Tohmorn Taradorn and Namfon Kullanat as the beautiful hard-working orphan Tawan. This lakhorn really delivers in a lot of aspects: we get greedy villains, gossiping servants, identity switch, misunderstandings, slap-kiss, an old vow of engagement and a sweet love-story in mids of all this chaos.I mainly (duhhh) enjoyed this lakhorn for the mainleads and what an electrifying chemistry they actually had in their every scene together. I also loved them in another lakhorn called "Ploy Lom Peth". I actually binge watched this lakhorn in three days and i found every ep exciting and just could not drop this one at all, i just had to finish it. I would also have given this lakhorn higher rating if it weren`t for how much screen time the villains had in this lakhorn. They were simply awful, though Yard`s mother is a terrific actress and i enjoyed her acting. I also wonder what the name of the actor who played Benley is? I don`t see him in the MDL cast of this lakhorn, he did really good in making me hate him.

I feel like i fell into a trap...
This movie is a erotic drama damn it and i rarely watch these kind of movies. I thought the female actress looked beautiful but her character was kinda one dimensional to me, well all characters were one dimensional and not much was shown here. Or even delivered acting wise, and the plot is despicable in my opinion. Infidelity is a trope i hate.It all was so predictable as well. I saw some things come from miles away. I regret watching this.

One of the best J-Dramas i have watched of late...
I literally forgot to review this one since i finished it around last month, but here we are.I have also seen the original version and i am glad to say this version of You`re Beautiful is so well done. I laughed, smiled and cried with all the characters. The actress portraying the female lead did a incredible job in conveying her emotions in wearing her heart on her sleeve and the actor portraying Male Lead Yuta Tamamori did so well with his cold exterior but added that touch of heart to his character that conveyed how deeply lonely and hurt he felt. Ah, he had a heart of gold.
They were so very lovely and beautiful together. Glad i watched this drama!!

Star in My Heart: a classic tale of growth, independence, true love and lasting friendships.
This was a wonderful story overall. Gripping in its essence and filled with artlike direction and music that filled your soul with characters that really made you root for them. Really made me wish for their happiness and for them to find the stars in their hearts. Hope, solace and happiness!Yun hee portrayed by Choi Jin Shil is a lovely heroine! She was was so sweet, nice but stubborn and fierce in her determination. I just fell in love with her designer talents! The actress is so beautiful as well! Her chemistry was amazing with Min hee portrayed by Jae Wook. Ah his handsome charming looks made me swoon! And the way he tackled his life problems and found solace in his music, my heart broke for his soul many times, the way his father caged him in like a prisoner several times. I love that he was supposed to take her number to give to his bestfriend Joon-hee portrayed by In pyo but ended up pursuing her himself!

My journey with "Unwilling Bride"
was...how should i put it? A different one. My rating is sorely based on that i only enjoyed the first six episodes and the writing went downhill with a lot of repetitive behaviour and situations. It grew boring fast so i had to speed forward and 16 episodes after that was a lot for me. But let me compliment at how stunning Mik Thongraya & Pooklook looked together on-screen and how well they portrayed their characters. The ML Kadethaen is really famous for being one of the steadfast, passionate and honest heroes of Lakhornland and i give props to Mik for handling this character with such charm throughout this lakhorn. Nackarin portrayed by Guy Ratchanont was another intriguing character as soon as he got introduced- he was a Anti-hero with a dark background, he made the story interesting with his revenge plot. Was this review helpful to you?
Watching the drama with its beautiful OST and memorable characters was a treat and the first 20 episodes were great. I loved the slow burn but intense love-story between Du Xiaosu & Lei Yuzheng. How they actually bonded because of their love for Zhen Rong who died so tragically. I feel like the main plot and focus was lost after Yuzheng got into jail in ep 21. I knew the writers shied away from the heavy angst that was in the novel and how deeply twisted and toxic main-leads relationship actually was, and how sad it actually became (as i have read some spoilers of the novel) but the saving grace was somehow the redemption of a villanious greedy character Lin Xiang Yuan who i actually came to ship with Fan Lu. They literally felt like a old couple still in love. This drama could have been sooooo much better without all the business politics and investigation that dominated for the entire other half od this drama. Felt like i was wasting so much time watching it. But i am glad i finished it. I think i will always remember Tears in Heaven for the melancholic and sad feeling it could give me sometimes.

Yada Narilya is a stunning talent actress that conveyed the complex anti-heroine Saiparn so well she simply blew my mind away with her charismatic on-screen presence. This is one of the rare cases (in lakhorn) i found the male lead so lacking and unappealing. His character was so weak minded, selfish and wishy washy and STUPID. I wanted to cry when i reaized he was supposed to be male lead after a few episodes, i still had hope for him to have a great personality to match the female lead, alas i was sooooo disappointed. She looked much better with Napat. Male lead was so useless in this one.Aghhhh i am so mad about that cuz she deserved THE BEST!!
There are many more detailed reviews of this crazy, trainwrecky lakhorn so i won`t write much. It was entertaining despite the lacking romance (with a lacking ML) but our beautiful anti-heroine makes it all up with her redemption arc, her character developement. She is wonderful, and can never do wrong in my eyes.
